"We stayed in the main hotel rather than cabins. Being close to the lounge and open fire there was a smell of woodsmoke in our room. However, the whole valley smelt of woodsmoke so maybe we were just unlucky. Exceptional breakfast and dinner served by friendly, well trained staff. We appreciated the early morning bird walk and sunset stargazing walks which were free of charge. Spa reasonably priced and very good. Stunning place in a stunning location."

"Pros: lovely grounds, friendly staff, walking distance to several restaurants. Cons: very loud at night. Our room was near the front of the hotel so we heard street noise all night along with dogs that barked all night. Our bed mattress was as hard as a rock. This combined with the noise made for two nights of poor sleep."
