The host was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is located a bit inside, so you need to walk in and climb some stairs, but it is totally worth it. Upon arrival, the host came to pick us up at the Didi drop-off point and helped with our luggage, and the same assistance was provided during check-out. The room was nice and clean. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk to Lijiang Ancient City. The hotel area itself is beautiful, and you can even see the Ancient City from the top. The surrounding area has quite a lot of stairs and slopes, so it may not be suitable for families with elderly members due to the amount of walking. However, for young travelers, it is highly recommended as it offers very convenient access to the Ancient City.

Staying at Honglin Pavilion Inn in Dali was an absolute gem! The facilities and amenities were top-notch, far exceeding my expectations, and truly enhanced my trip. The inn's location is incredibly convenient. Step right out into the ancient city's streets, and a stroll to Erhai Lake is just a few minutes away. Walking into the courtyard was a breathtaking experience; it's designed in a classical Chinese garden style, with rockeries and flowing water complemented by vintage lanterns. The common areas feature incredibly comfortable rattan chairs and tea sets, and they even provide complimentary tea and utensils. In my free time, I'd brew a pot of tea and enjoy the scenery – it was so relaxing I didn't want to leave. All in all, the stay brought immense happiness. Next time I'm in Dali, I'll definitely choose this place again!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally kind and friendly, even providing a complimentary drop-off at the station. Our room was beautiful and very nicely furnished, offering both style and comfort. We loved the hotel's authentic, local atmosphere, and its location was perfect for conveniently exploring the ancient town. A truly memorable experience!

The hotel is really well situated, close to the Ancient Town. From the Dali's Railway Station, you can take the bus 8 (~1h & ¥3). Electric scooters were available for rental (¥60 a day for one person) which makes it very convenient to visit Dali and access the Three Pagodas. You can also leave your baggage after check-out. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Actually, I was going to give this hotel a full score at first. The lobby is very beautiful and high-end, and the room decoration is also very good. This level of decoration is very good in five-star hotels across the country. The front desk took the initiative to upgrade the room type with a bathtub. The children had a lot of fun playing with water, but the drain of this bathtub would not bounce back after pressing it down. Only the hotel staff could deal with it. The children took a bath twice and asked the staff to put it down twice. This is not a big problem for me, but I feel that the hotel staff are very tired. The key problem is that the air conditioner does not cool. It was actually a bit hot in those days. The staff came to see it twice and said that it would be fine after a while, but it never got better. I had no choice but to give up. At one o'clock in the middle of the night, everyone fell asleep, and the air conditioner suddenly turned on by itself. I turned it off, and it turned on again after a while. It was quite scary. I told the front desk when I checked out, and it seemed that she didn't take it seriously. So I decided to deduct a little point to prevent them from being too proud.

The views are top-notch; if you're not obsessed with seeing the sunrise from a specific spot, watching it from here is more than enough. The room is spacious, quiet, and features floor-to-ceiling windows with an Instagrammable vibe. The hotel is set back a bit from the main road, and the parking lot is up on the mountain. There's a buggy service for transfers, so it's important to contact the hotel in advance. Dining options nearby are limited, so you're pretty much restricted to the hotel. We ordered a chicken, but it barely tasted like chicken, which was a shame.

The biggest surprise at Hilton Dali this time was employee Xiao Gu! When checking in, he proactively helped with luggage, patiently explained about the Erhai Lake view rooms and breakfast times, and thoughtfully reminded me about nearby taxi stands. When I needed an extra pillow for the room, he delivered it within minutes, always smiling and enthusiastic. His service was super professional! I have to give a big thumbs up to Xiao Gu and the hotel. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!

Top notch service! I can understand now why they are so popular. I stayed here for 4 nights and in 3 different room types as I had trouble booking all the same room as they are so popular. This is probably the best one I have stayed in my Yunnan trip so far as the owners were so helpful and friendly. They are always there to support and you can ask any questions if needed so you do not fall into any tourist trap. They are very genuine. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They really make you feel so at home. Very down to earth owners. Great accommodation and great service. Highly recommended! They also got us a good spot for the very popular Tusiyan at discounted price and transport there and back. They really go all out to serve you and ensure you have a great experience. Location of the hotel is also great and the cars can stop right in front. There's really nothing to fault. You will not go wrong booking with them!

The room was spotless and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The hotel environment was elegant, with a pleasant aroma in the hallways. The room cleaning was thorough. The staff were always available, friendly, and provided an excellent experience! Fantastic value for money! The check-in experience was great, the bed was very comfortable, and the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom were a thoughtful touch. I'll definitely choose this place for my next trip!

Our room was on the top floor, featuring an openable skylight that provided fantastic views. I arrived in the afternoon with some work to catch up on, and the bedside tea table was absolutely perfect for working while enjoying the scenery – a really nice touch! While the skylight's strong UV rays meant it was best kept closed during the day, I imagine opening it at night for stargazing would be amazing. Unfortunately, it rained during my stay, so I just enjoyed watching the rain through it, which was actually quite pleasant. The ancient town is just about a 5-minute walk away, right down the stairs. Overall, I was very satisfied. The room was clean, free of any odors, and the smart toilet was a convenient bonus.
