Stayed here for two nights during a solo trip working northwards to Shanghai. Great hotel, gorgeous room and great facilities. The room was spotless and large, hotel reception was super friendly and very helpful. The free shuttle to and from the national park was extremely useful. Would definitely recommend staying here. I don’t have any photos from the hotel itself, but have attached some photos of the national park which is only 6 minutes drive away with the free shuttle to and from.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful! 💛
From the very moment we arrived, we were met at the airport — everything was perfectly organized, comfortable, and done with great care. The staff were incredibly attentive to all our requests — they even prepared vegetarian meals for us, and we’re especially grateful to the chefs for that 🙏
If it weren’t for the hotel staff, we would have definitely gotten lost in the park — they thoughtfully planned out the entire route through all the attractions for us, making everything clear and convenient.
The room itself was just amazing! 😍
It turned out to be even better than in the photos — warm floors, heated mattress pads, perfectly clean, bright, and very quiet. Everything we needed was provided, and you can really feel the genuine care for the guests.
A huge thank you to the entire hotel team for your attention, kindness, and hospitality.
✨ We’ll definitely be back! ❤️
The night before, I booked the Hilton Changsha Shimao through the Hilton platform, and the experience was utterly terrible. The soundproofing was awful. I was woken up at 3 AM by noise from the hallway and didn't sleep a wink all night, ending up with a pounding headache.
First thing in the morning, I rebooked at the InterContinental via Trip.com. Miss Anna Jiang at the front desk was incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely warm. I was so touched! She walked me to the elevator, introduced me to the hotel facilities and restaurants. She even pre-warned me that the river view rooms are near the elevators and to let them know if I experienced any noise so I could switch rooms. The concierge staff were also very proactive and helpful; I really appreciate their assistance.
Although the hotel's hardware facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained and clean. The room view was lovely, overlooking the delta where the Liuyang River and Xiang River converge. There's a direct passage to the adjacent shopping malls (Beichenhui/Joy City), making dining and shopping very convenient.
Breakfast here has the best Western pastries among all the international brand hotels I've stayed at in the past few months. It really suited my preferences, and the coffee was made with an espresso machine. There were also plenty of Chinese options, including rice noodles, but the texture wasn't quite to my liking; they were a bit too thick.
Before checking out, I realized I'd left a ring in the room. I called, and they informed me it had already been found and sent to the concierge. It was perfect timing as I was just returning from visiting the Changsha Museum and picked it up on my way back. Oh, and right across from the hotel are the 'Three Museums and One Hall,' which are within walking distance.
For food deliveries, you have to pick them up from external lockers, which is understandable and acceptable to me.

For my seven-day trip to Hunan, I stayed in both five-star and non-five-star hotels. While the Hilton Garden Inn isn't a five-star property, the butler provided the best, 'beyond five-star' service of the entire trip. When they saw we were traveling with a child, they immediately upgraded us to a family room for free. Unfortunately, there was some electrical noise in the room, so the butler promptly moved us again and personally showed us a shortcut to the indoor pool. Not only the butler, but also the dedicated shuttle driver and the cleaning staff were incredibly warm and professional. The hotel facilities are also excellent and very new, offering fantastic value for money. I genuinely recommend it. Also, I'd suggest adding non-slip slippers to the washroom area, as the disposable ones are quite slippery.

This hotel went above and beyond during my stay. Rain who first greeted us was helpful from the very beginning of the stay until the very end. The hotel provided a detailed route for the Zhangjiajie National Park and even provided transportation to the park and pick up once completed. In addition they assisted with the luggage during check in and check out. If flying or riding into Zhangjiajie, the hotel does offer setting up transportation to and from the hotel if needed at a very reasonable fee. The hotel offered a buffet breakfast and complimentary tea with the tea master, who was also amazing at making the stay feel very welcoming. Once the tea master and Rain found out it was my birthday they made my day one to remember. The tea master wrote me a congratulatory calligraphy scroll and set up a cake with Rain to be given to me as well. The hotel also offered activities every evening. On the day I was able to attend, they taught me how to make peach cookies which was so fun and delicious. The tea master also showed us how to do calligraphy while we waited for the cookies to be baked. Rain set up a Wechat with the staff where I was able to conveniently pre order dinner, which was super delicious. My favorite was the eggplant with pork. I can't express in enough words how everyone here made the stay the most enjoyable. For anyone visiting Zhangjiajie, I highly recommend staying here. I wish I could have spent more nights here to enjoy the entire resort such as the heated pool and sunset terrace.

This hotel truly impressed me! The room was spacious and bright, the bedding was comfortable, and the facilities were complete. Xixi, who checked us in, was incredibly warm and attentive, paying close attention to every detail. The location is excellent, with convenient transportation and a wide variety of dining and shopping options nearby. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again.

I forgot to take pictures of the room, but it was very clean and the facilities were new. The room was spacious, and the hotel service was absolutely 5-star worthy! They called me half a month in advance to add me on WeChat and offer travel advice. The service attitude was incredibly good! The hotel's location is convenient, very close to the cable car entrance. We were late checking out after returning from Tianmen Mountain, and the hotel still helped us out. This hotel truly deserves a super 5-star rating! Everything exceeded my expectations, and the service definitely gets a thumbs up! Plus, the front desk staff had amazing smiles! Seeing their smiles always brightened my mood! Thumbs up! Better service than the Wyndham Grand!

Second stop of our winter vacation: Changsha! The St. Regis was too out of the way for dining, and the Park Hyatt didn't have a club lounge, which is inconvenient with kids. So we chose the Grand Hyatt, and the environment is beautiful – quite impressive!
**Facilities**: The rooms show their age a bit. The hairdryer, which was rumored to be Dyson, turned out to be a Laifen. The Samsung TV, while decent, had some outdated ports, and I consistently had trouble connecting my laptop via HDMI. Everything else was pretty good though. The small dining table and long sofa setup were comfortable for a vacation.
**Breakfast**: From a distance, it looked like standard five-star hotel fare, but up close, there were some highlights. The juices were freshly squeezed, and there were many types of smoothies. While the bread selection wasn't huge, the bakery items were excellent, with croissants that had perfectly flaky layers.
**Swimming Pool**: A 25-meter pool. Going early in the morning meant it was nearly empty, which was wonderful. The changing rooms were impeccably clean, big plus!
**Club Lounge**: Perhaps because it was Chinese New Year, the standards seemed a bit lower. There was a good variety of drinks, but many bottles were empty when we went in the evening. However, with so much great food in Changsha, the lounge was mainly just for making sure the kids had something light to eat so they wouldn't go hungry.
**Location & Transport**: Unbeatable! Wenheyou is right next door, and just around the corner is the Heyer But Different branch of Chayan Yuese, so you can drink all the bubble tea you want. Walk a few more steps and you're at Pozi Street, and you can even see Orange Isle from the window!
**Value for Money**: It was a bit pricey over Chinese New Year, but if it were a bit cheaper on regular days, it would be an excellent hotel that truly delivers!

The hotel is in a great location, very close to Huaihua South Station, only 10 minutes away by taxi. There are many business types, a large parking lot, clean and sanitary rooms, large area, and complete facilities and equipment. The service staff have a good attitude. The switchboard spring service is very good. Thumbs up to her! !

GGuest UserAmazing service - they were very accomodating and patient with us as we only spoke English. Awesome location where it was right next to the East gate entrance. They helped us book our passes to the National park, Grand Canyon and Tianmen Mountain at a discounted price. The facilities are very clean and aesthetic with a relaxing atmosphere. Very generous option in the breakfast buffet selection. Very tidy and clean room a d service. We had fun playing with the voice activation to turn the light on/off and opening/closing the blinds 😆. Definitely would visit again.

GGuest UserAs a traveler who needs to balance online work, this place has surprised me. The whole house smart provides an efficient and convenient environment, and the high-speed network allows me to handle work at any time. The high-end toilet and free drinks are the embodiment of quality life, and the sky garden has become my open-air office, with a broad view and abundant inspiration. Take a walk to the Wulingyuan Marking Gate to relax your mind and body during the work break, exercise at the well-equipped gym in the evening, and the three lovely cats are also good companions to relieve stress. This balance of being able to work efficiently and experience nature deeply allows me to travel and work at the same time.

GGuest UserToday's breakfast was exceptionally warm and pleasant, thanks to the wonderful hospitality of Ms. Zhang Huici. The Sunshine Hotel boasts a beautiful location, nestled against the Li River and facing Tianmen Mountain. I brought two friends for a relaxing getaway, and everyone was very impressed. A big thank you to the hotel's lobby, restaurant, and housekeeping staff for their warm and attentive service, which made our leisure trip truly enjoyable!

Ssharleen5410The location is good, just outside the ancient town, but it's a very short walk. The hotel has parking, which is definitely better than staying inside the ancient town during peak season. There's a shuttle bus stop right next door, which would be more convenient for those traveling by high-speed rail without a car. The hotel's facilities are decent. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but after trying a noodle shop by the road nearby, I realized that eating outside isn't necessarily better value or tastier. Maybe we just didn't find the right place, as the food quality was pretty much the same both inside and outside the hotel.
Ttianbian****First off, I have to say, this is the best hotel experience I've had domestically. The views are incredible, directly overlooking Tianmen Mountain. My flight landed at midnight, but the butler patiently picked me up. At one point, I wanted to grab a bite and invited the butler to join me, but they politely declined, saying they had other guests to pick up. I really appreciate such a responsible staff member. I'm very satisfied with the hotel's facilities; I didn't encounter any cleanliness issues that some negative reviews mentioned. Perhaps that's more common during peak season. I visited during the off-season, and it happened to be a clear, sunny day, so the 'Sky Mirror' on the rooftop was absolutely stunning. I imagine those who had a less-than-ideal experience probably visited on a cloudy day, which might make the hotel appear dated. Also, reading some of those negative reviews in the comments section genuinely made my head spin – are we even talking about the same hotel? For the price you paid, to get a hotel like this, shouldn't you be thrilled? If you're going to complain about everything, maybe don't travel at all. Seriously, I rarely find such a unique hotel in China. The last time I stayed at a hotel that was this delightful and relaxing was in Guilin, but that cost 1600 RMB. Honestly, if you manage to book this hotel, you should be secretly celebrating!

LLllaspenStylish Airbnb super close to Tianmen Park.
Good location, easy to find but not quite convenient for parking. Close to Tianmen Park if that is part of the trip plan.
Got free upgrade, so I could stay next to my parents. Two rooms with their own yards are super soothing.
Good facilities generally, but there could be some improvements too, such as the floor in my parents’ room, and maybe add some sticker on switches to avoid some confusions.
Other than that, I love the foam pillows, much better than normal soft pillows in hotels, also love the comb it provides in the bathroom. Good toilet and good bath amenities like shampoo and shower gel. Recommend to provide bathrobe too instead of waiting for request from guests.
I also love the auto curtains and traditional styled wooden door.
I couldn’t catch breakfast for my travel plan but parents did, they love it. Services from the host was great, especially when it comes to laundry service. He also helped with parking.
Overall highly recommended!

GGuest UserWonderful stay with amazing hot springs and outstanding service
I had an excellent stay at this hot spring hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The entire property was very clean and well maintained, which made the experience even more relaxing and comfortable. The hot springs were fantastic — peaceful, soothing, and perfect for unwinding after a long day.
What really made this hotel special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, professional, and polite. I would especially like to thank Cherry, who stood out for her kindness, patience, and willingness to help with everything. She made us feel very welcome and taken care of from the beginning to the end of our stay.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, relaxing place with hot springs and truly excellent service. I would definitely love to come back again!

GGuest UserThe interior design of the house is very comfortable overall, but the location is quite remote with no other facilities nearby. Be sure to check the hotel's location before you arrive, as it's quite far from the city center, and you'll need to drive over 12 kilometers to find any decent dining options. If you prefer convenience and a lively atmosphere, this type of hotel might not be for you, as you could feel out of place. We booked for two nights. We had originally planned to eat out on the first day and try the hotel's cuisine on the second. However, we arrived around 5 PM that day and, after looking around the vicinity, found no dining places, so we had to return to the hotel. The hotel's food was relatively good, and the ingredients were freshly cooked. While not exceptionally amazing, it was decent, especially given the complete lack of other dining options nearby. The service attitude was excellent. For instance, on the first day, they enthusiastically introduced us to Zhangjiajie's attractions and provided a very detailed itinerary, which was convenient and relaxing for our family trip with both young and old. We also asked if we could sing in the evening, and they quickly provided the corresponding service. They even lit a fire and arranged a tea ceremony around it – they were incredibly accommodating. The hotel's dog, Zhaocai, was very cute and seemed to understand people. The drone photography should be considered a complimentary gift; it's not highly technical but serves as a nice record. The price is a little on the high side, but overall, we were quite satisfied.

GGuest UserWe are very satisfied with our 3-night stay. The room was clean and quiet. Front desk and service staff are all very friendly, helpful, informative and polite. Thanks to the housekeeping team that makes our stays so comfortable.
It’s a very considerate hotel that provides free-flow necessities 24/7, including tea, coffee, juices, bottled sodas (they even provide Coke!), ice cream, cookies, umbrellas, and even a shoe-shine machine.
The location is also convenient—about a 10-minute walk to the National Forest Park entrance, the fountain bridge, and the shopping street.
