Hotel near Shiquan Street/Pan Gate Scenic Area,Suzhou

This is a wonderful Suzhou-style garden hotel, directly connected to the Pan Gate ancient scenic area. You could easily spend half a day exploring both the hotel grounds and the scenic area, as the views are stunning both day and night. The interior is spacious and grand, with a stylish Chinese design and decor. Chinese culture, including ancient paintings and other artworks, is beautifully integrated throughout the common areas, hallways, restaurants, and guest rooms. The views from the windows are picturesque. The hotel boasts comprehensive facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, spa, and children's play area, as well as both Chinese and Western restaurants. The property itself is vast, featuring a classic Suzhou garden with pavilions, terraces, and quaint bridges scattered throughout. Everything is meticulously maintained, clean, and bright. From the front desk to the cafe and room staff, everyone is polite, warm, and highly professional, making you feel right at home! The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection. This is my second stay here, and I highly recommend it! Thank you to the hotel for your excellent service. I wish you continued success and many more guests!

The toilet paper quality was really bad. Maybe it's designed not to clog, but it felt like it disintegrated as soon as you touched it, which was unpleasant. The afternoon tea snacks delivered to Building 18 seemed like they'd been sitting out for a long time; the oil had already soaked through to the cardboard. Of course, the overall environment of the Yingbin Hotel is top-notch. Qu Yuan Teahouse is right by Slender West Lake, so if you check in in the afternoon, you can drop off your luggage and then explore a bit. Remember to book ahead for the landscape restaurant in Building 8. For late risers, the 1:30 PM second seating for lunch might be an option to snag a spot. Personally, I didn't find it particularly amazing; some of the popular restaurants near Hongqiao Fang are better for a memorable meal.

Overall, my stay was very satisfying. The room was meticulously clean, and the bedding was neat and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep – you could tell a lot of thought went into the details. The soundproofing in the room was excellent; I barely heard anything from next door, making it very quiet and allowing for a peaceful rest. The front desk and housekeeping staff were warm and attentive, promptly responding to any requests, which made me feel right at home. The common areas were cozy and comfortable, and it offered great value for money. Plus, the location has convenient transportation. I highly recommend it to everyone and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

Location: This hotel is a landmark in Xuzhou, right in the city center. It's incredibly convenient for visiting the Confucius Temple and Pengcheng No. 1, and also close to the 1818 Night Market. You can even see these attractions from the hotel rooms. Getting to the subway station across the street requires a bit of a walk around to the traffic light, so we mostly took taxis, though you can also walk to Hubu Mountain and Huilongwo, exploring all the way to the museum and Yunlong Mountain. Facilities: There's a swimming pool, but we didn't use it. Cleanliness: Tidy. Service: I was initially worried that the front desk being on the 42nd floor would be inconvenient, but there's a dedicated elevator to go up, so it didn't feel like an issue at all.

I booked a family room with a private hot spring. It was quite spacious and even had a small courtyard. The villa-style rooms are all on one floor. The hotel itself covers a large area and offers a huge variety of room types. The facilities are a bit dated, but they're clearly trying their best with maintenance. The main draw seems to be the hot spring and family-friendly amenities, with plenty of activities. The transportation service is very convenient; WeChat messages are answered instantly (kudos to Radish Butler!). There are quite a few cute animals, including two large horses that have even had their manes dyed! The hotel is full of Year of the Horse elements, and there are many horse dolls in the rooms. For the private hot spring, you need to request water 2 hours in advance. The hotel's location is directly opposite the East Gate of Slender West Lake Scenic Area. Most famous restaurants are within a 3km radius, which is very convenient for tourists. Quyuan is a 600-meter walk, but I didn't go. I recommend Xiangyuan, which is only 100 meters away – a great spot for breakfast! I would definitely come back again, maybe try staying in the Cihua Hall next time.

Highly recommend! This is the best value for money hotel in Wuxi! This used to be the Grand Hyatt, rebranded last year. The overall environment is clean, elegant, and well-maintained. The high-floor views are expansive, and it's located in the heart of the city's central business district, with excellent dining, shopping, and transportation options nearby. The overall experience was superb. From check-in, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The butler followed up on our needs throughout our stay, proactively asking if we needed assistance – very professional and meticulous, making the experience top-notch. The hotel proactively upgraded the twin room we booked for my parents to a high-floor room on the 62nd floor for free, offering even better views and a more comfortable stay. This thoughtful upgrade was truly heartwarming. We stayed in the Candy House themed bunk bed room, and my child absolutely loved it the moment we walked in. After visiting several cities on this trip, my child directly rated this as their favorite place overall, saying they loved Wuxi the most. This high praise from a child truly reflects the hotel's dedication. The only minor drawback was the parking experience: upon arrival, there were very few signs, and almost no hotel-specific signage in the parking lot, making it difficult to find our way. Also, the third basement level had an unpleasant smell, while the second basement level was fine. This was a slight inconvenience. The hotel's proactive upgrade, the attentive service throughout, the excellent environment, and the comprehensive surrounding amenities, plus the kid-favorite themed room, made this stay a perfect 10. Whether for a family vacation or a business trip, this is an excellent choice in Wuxi. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Wuxi!

Location: Absolutely unbeatable downtown location! Surrounded by all the high-end department stores, and the subway station is just a short walk away. Plus, all kinds of food delivery services can reach you in about ten to fifteen minutes. Amenities: The projector is fantastic, especially once I activated the membership – that really enhanced the experience, which I have to praise. Most Airbnb-style places just have basic set-top box functions, hahaha. There's also a big fridge and a washing machine; I didn't use them, but it's great that they're there. Cleanliness: A big shoutout for the disposable bath towels and toilet seat covers – that's a huge bonus for me! I usually bring my own, but having them provided just makes the experience so much better. The hairdryer placement is also very user-friendly; it's on a shelf, making it easy to grab and put away. Highly recommend! Environment: This is inside an apartment building, and it was my first time staying on the 53rd floor – so cool, hahaha! The building has 155 rooms across nearly 70 floors, with four elevators that are incredibly fast. Service: The front desk staff just gave a basic introduction when I checked in. Room instructions were sent to my phone. Parking is quite good too; if you leave your license plate number, you get a 30 [currency unit] deduction.

The quality of this long-standing five-star hotel remains excellent; it's a comfortable choice in a prime location on Hanzhong Road. I stayed in a Premier Twin Room in the Asia Pacific Tower at Jinling Hotel Nanjing during the tail end of the Chinese New Year holiday, and the experience was truly fantastic – I have to give it a good review! First off, the location is incredibly convenient. The hotel is at 2 Hanzhong Road, right in the heart of Nanjing's central business district. Whether you're heading to Xinjiekou for shopping or visiting nearby attractions, transportation is a breeze. Taxis and subways are all very close by, which is a huge plus for me as I dislike wasting time on transit. I stayed in a Premier Twin Room in the Asia Pacific Tower this time. The room offered expansive views and excellent natural light. The two 1.35-meter double beds were neatly made, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a sound sleep. The in-room facilities were also well-maintained, clean, and odorless, making me feel very much at ease. As a long-established five-star hotel, Jinling Hotel's service maintains a high standard. The front desk staff were warm and efficient with both check-in and check-out. Although my trip was quite rushed this time and I didn't get a chance to experience the hotel's pool or dining, the comfortable accommodation and convenient location alone made me feel it was excellent value for money. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Next time I'm in Nanjing and planning to stay in the city center, this will definitely be my first choice!

I chose Yangzhou for a slow-paced, food-focused trip before the Chinese New Year, avoiding the peak travel season. The characteristic attractions like Daming Temple and Geyuan had just the right amount of visitors, and the delicious Huaiyang cuisine was a treat. The Shangri-La Yangzhou was filled with a strong New Year atmosphere. The butler was incredibly attentive, noting my booking requests beforehand and arranging a high-floor, non-smoking room for me. The front desk staff were also very welcoming. Overall, both the soft amenities and hardware were excellent – truly living up to the Shangri-La name!

The Jieziyuan Hotel is located in the Laomendong scenic area, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. We booked a special suite in the North Courtyard, which was incredibly spacious and had underfloor heating, making air conditioning unnecessary. The only downside was that the lighting was a bit dim. The breakfast at Wanguochun Chinese Restaurant was fantastic! The old duck vermicelli soup, mini wontons, and youdunzi (fried dough fritters) were all delicious and made fresh to order. We enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked lunch there too. After breakfast, we could easily access the Jieziyuan Garden directly from the hotel's back entrance, enjoying a quiet morning stroll through Laomendong.

GGuest UserLocated in the Science and Technology City of Suzhou High-tech Zone, the surrounding area integrates the elements of ”technology, landscape, and humanities” and is close to an artificial lake. The environment is quiet and suitable for vacation. The hotel is close to Taihu Avenue and has convenient transportation, but the business atmosphere in the Science and Technology City area is relatively quiet, and you need to travel a short distance to nearby commercial entities. With environmental protection, natural landscape and family-friendly facilities as its core advantages, Element Suzhou is suitable for tourists seeking a quiet vacation or a short business trip. Its kitchen configuration and parent-child services are particularly outstanding, but improvements need to be made in terms of spraying less air freshener and surrounding convenience.

CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high! The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help! The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning! The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!

MM224225****It's absolutely no surprise this B&B has been crowned the most beautiful in Zhouzhuang Ancient Town for several years running! The owner's design perfectly blends ancient charm with modern comfort; every single corner is a picturesque delight, offering endless photo opportunities. What truly touched my heart was the proprietress's exceptional kindness. She welcomed us with refreshing watermelon and snacks right when we arrived, and even had more thoughtfully prepared for us after a long day of exploring. The beautifully designed courtyard, complete with fish, turtles, and a swimming pool, adds so much character. It genuinely offers a unique and enchanting take on the classic beauty of a Jiangnan water town.

JJimodelianrenaFor my father's birthday, I chose the newest five-star hotel in Gusu District for this Suzhou trip. The Kimpton's architectural style, which blends traditional Suzhou gardens and water features with modern facilities and InterContinental's excellent guest services, made my father very satisfied with this year's birthday arrangements. Moreover, we unexpectedly encountered a snow scene after many years; that snowy breakfast time and the sunny departure will become unforgettable memories for our whole family. Of course, even a perfect jade has its flaws, so I'd like to offer some suggestions: 1. **Shoe-changing bench:** It's too light and easily slides when sat upon. The lower edge of the decorative painting behind it curves outward and could easily bump the back of one's head. This safety hazard definitely needs rectification. 2. **Luggage rack & drying rack:** For such a large room, there was no luggage rack. The only place that could barely accommodate a suitcase was also the only place to hang clothes. Freshly washed clothes inevitably drip, which is very impractical. I suggest adding a traditional retractable drying line in the bathroom and a drying rack in the south-facing courtyard. 3. **Privacy of the bathing area:** An open-plan modern design is fine for a king-size bed room, but it becomes awkward for a twin-bed room without a relatively enclosed bathing space. 4. **Bathroom door opening direction:** The outward-opening design is truly unreasonable, to the point that the bathmat can only be placed to the side, or the distance between the bottom of the door and the floor needs to be larger so it doesn't affect the mat when opening and closing. 5. **Switch locations are hard to find:** We couldn't find the switches for the two bedside lamps and the bathroom curtain for two days. I suggest that the concierge could briefly introduce the room facilities when escorting guests to their rooms to enhance the check-in experience, so guests don't have to waste time figuring out how to use them. 6. **Unstable shower water temperature:** The water temperature was slightly low on the first day but very comfortable on the second. 7. **Lighting:** The room is large, but the lighting points are a bit sparse, making the overall ambiance rather dim, especially on cloudy days and at night, which makes it difficult for guests with poor eyesight to see. 8. **Air conditioning system:** The heating was insufficient; it only met standards with the help of a space heater. 9. **Housekeeping service:** They were very friendly, but I hope they come to work not only with a smile but also with their brains. Although guests generally don't fuss over minor issues like forgetting things, such a work attitude is indeed unprofessional. After all, Kimpton Bamboo Grove is a boutique hotel under InterContinental, not a boutique guesthouse. Guesthouses can emphasize personal touch, but a hotel's foundation is standardization. 10. **Breakfast:** The Western options were generally good, especially the baked goods, which were quite decent by current hotel breakfast standards. They also offered heating service, and the butter and cream were in good condition. The freshly made French toast and seasonal panettone were also a pleasant surprise, actually meeting expectations. The pudding bread and pineapple buns are commendable. The cereal with milk and fruit yogurt area felt quite high-end for a basic room priced a little over 1000, and there were also simple options of three cheeses and fresh cold cuts. The only letdown was the scrambled eggs with milk, which were really not good – overcooked and bland. As a restaurant specializing in Su-style and Huaiyang cuisine, the Chinese breakfast selection was truly disappointing, especially the steamed items; none of them were up to par. The only satisfying item was the red soup noodles with braised pork, though from the perspective of Su-style noodles, these hard noodles weren't quite springy enough. But that's a minor issue, as many people prefer a softer texture. The red bean paste tangyuan (small glutinous rice balls) offered on the second day were quite good, with a rich bean paste. It would be even better if they could improve the heat retention, similar to how coffee was delivered to the glass room with a plastic lid on the first snowy day – that showed good awareness. Overall, the restaurant staff had excellent attitudes. What impressed me most was going for breakfast on the second day; they had already arranged seating based on my father's preference. Their proactiveness and enthusiasm in service were impeccable, especially the young women in green suits. The regular Huaiyang cuisine at Bamboo Grove Restaurant was also well-executed, but innovation in traditional dishes needs to be approached with caution. The professional skills of the waitstaff should be further trained to channel their enthusiasm for their jobs effectively and make the guests' dining experience even smoother.

__WeChat229852****The best decision I made during my trip to Suzhou was staying at the Yihe Songmao Residence. The hotel itself is nestled within the Pingjiang Road Historic and Cultural District, offering a tranquil and elegant atmosphere, brimming with Suzhou charm. The check-in experience was exceptional: The rooms were clean and tidy, and the facilities were well-maintained. What truly impressed me was the impeccable service – the front desk staff were warm, professional, and any issues were promptly resolved. The hotel also provided thoughtful shuttle services; the driver not only took us to nearby attractions but also offered friendly explanations along the way, making the experience absolutely perfect. The dining exceeded expectations: Breakfast was far from perfunctory; every dish was exquisitely prepared, and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. Due to this wonderful impression, we even chose to have our lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant environment was equally clean and comfortable, and the dishes were authentic and delicious – we could eat there for days without getting tired of it. In short, this is a boutique hotel that excels in 'environment, service, and dining.' I highly recommend it to all friends visiting Suzhou.

RRuthWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂 The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally. For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁 Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.
