PPuwuNestled in a valley just 20 minutes from Queenstown, this hidden gem is a hidden gem.
The hotel rooms are very fancy, and there's even an open-air bathtub, an indoor swimming pool, and a spa.
The value for money is truly excellent. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserThe most beautiful hotel in Queenstown, I regret not staying there longer. The outdoor lake view is absolutely stunning and incredibly peaceful. The room decor also perfectly captures a vacation vibe! If you're going to Queenstown, you absolutely *must* stay at this hotel, and definitely opt for the family room. It's fully equipped with a well-designed layout, perfect for cooking and laundry. The master bedroom opens right up to the amazing view – a perfect spot to relax and soak it all in.
GGuest UserThe Mercure Queenstown feels quite dated, though that was expected. What disappointed me more was the overall maintenance and poor soundproofing—I could hear loud thumping from the room above. The bathroom has been renovated, but amenities were lacking (barely any soap or shampoo), the shower leaked making everything wet, and the door was stiff and noisy to close. Both the bathroom and the room were cold, as the air conditioning only managed to heat partially. Paid parking for hotel guests is simply absurd. On a positive note, breakfast was acceptable.
The View is although the big PLUS.
ZZhang(xinyan)We chose the Hilton again for our trip to Queenstown, New Zealand. While it's not right in the town center, transportation is super convenient. The hotel has its own water taxi that goes to and from the center daily. The first boat leaves at 8:15 AM, and then it's hourly after that. It costs 14 NZD per person and takes about 25 minutes. The last return trip is at 9:45 PM, and there's a timetable available at the front desk. The hotel is also only a ten-minute drive from the airport.
The hotel's setting and views are absolutely beautiful, right on the lake. You can take a lovely stroll along the lakeside in the mornings, and the restaurant is right there, so you can enjoy the lake view while you eat. The hotel has a Western restaurant, a bar and restaurant, and a coffee shop. The breakfast buffet is served in the Western restaurant and opens at 6 AM, which is great for guests who want to get an early start on their sightseeing. The food selection is comprehensive and tasty too! We had dinner at the Western restaurant on our first night and it was excellent, the steak was fantastic! The bar and restaurant is also good; on our last day, we got back late from our Milford Sound tour and just ordered pizza and beer at the bar. The pizza was absolutely delicious! The bar atmosphere was great too!
We booked a lake view king room, and the layout was nice, with full amenities. The hotel also has a pool, and the gym is open 24 hours. All in all, our stay and dining experience were very comfortable! Highly recommended!
GGuest UserThe views are stunning and the atmosphere is fantastic. Our room was on the second floor, which was a bit inconvenient with large luggage. You can always ask the front desk staff in advance if you'd like to switch rooms. It's super close to the Lonely Tree, which is incredibly convenient.

AAnonymous UserI arrived late and left my key on the lobby door. I checked in the next day. There are two floors, one upstairs and one downstairs. The lower one has a garage. It takes about ten minutes to drive to the tree in Wanaka.

GGuest UserI don't know why other people have low scores, the environment and sanitation are OK, the cabin is in the jungle, there is no light pollution at night, the stars are very beautiful, and the price is much higher than the kiwicamp self-service camp we live in every day. Usually powered site is NZD40-80, the hotel backpacker also needs NZD20-40 per person, this price is very good. The wine at the gas station and the store is very low price, and the South Island is not lower than 3.1 per liter.
GGuest UserFor the hotel
That they had everything we needed
For the hospitality
Every person you meet all to cheering with you and willing to help you
Marcus help us to set up a nice tour which we enjoyed so much for Dart river experience
