This B&B is located right inside the Shangxiahang scenic area, and the location is absolutely fantastic. You step right out and you're by the inner city river. **Facilities:** Retro and tasteful. The owner is a collector, which really shows. **Hygiene:** Clean. **Environment:** The B&B's interior is elegant, and the night view right outside is stunning. **Service:** Very warm and welcoming. They even prepared a little gift for the kids! The only downside is that the soundproofing in our room wasn't great. It seemed like it was just the two rooms on our floor that had this issue, but otherwise, everything else was fine. I can also understand that finding a B&B like this within a scenic area is already quite good.

## Review **Ambiance:** I'd say it was just okay, a traditional five-star hotel setup, pretty standard. But I'm not sure if it's because of the humidity in the south, but there was an indescribable smell when I entered the room. **Cleanliness:** The room itself was decent. However, some of the cutlery in the restaurant was a bit dirty. You can see it in the picture if you zoom in – there were hard white spots on the knife. **Service:** The cleaning staff in the guest rooms were very friendly and responsive to requests. However, the front desk service on the 40th floor was just mediocre. I've stayed in many five-diamond hotels of major brands in various cities, and in other cities, the staff always made me feel right at home. But in Fuzhou, they were quite indifferent. The only contact was a perfunctory follow-up call after checking out. I think you could learn from practices in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions, as well as Guangdong. They often have dedicated butlers, and both the front desk and butlers actively contact guests, checking in and showing genuine care. Especially in Guangzhou, the service is so good it almost makes you feel embarrassed! **Food:** The breakfast offered mostly local specialties. I'm someone who isn't usually picky, but I found many dishes unappetizing, and the variety wasn't great. I suppose it's understandable if they're trying to cut costs. **Overall, I didn't have a good experience!**

After switching from Andaz to Swissôtel, my elders praised Swissôtel for its more comprehensive amenities. The pool even has a sauna, and the water temperature is just right with plenty of space. I especially want to commend the breakfast at Xin Nan Xuan on the hotel's third floor; the quality even surpasses most dim sum places in Guangdong. During my stay, something unpleasant happened in the parking lot in the middle of the night, but thankfully the hotel promptly notified me, preventing it from affecting my next day's plans. The hotel's hygiene and environment are not as bad as some comments suggest; for a hotel that has been open for many years, the room maintenance and cleanliness are quite good.

This is my fifth trip to Xiamen, and for the first two days, I was exploring the city center. After a lot of research, I stumbled upon this newly discovered gem, the Yidu Chaozu Hotel, and it truly is a hidden treasure! If they maintain this quality, I'll definitely be back for another stay. 🌿 Aesthetic Lovers, Rejoice: The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the fresh and clean decor! It's not just another cookie-cutter influencer style; the details are incredibly tasteful. The small pendant lights and vintage alarm clock in the room are simple yet stylish, perfect for photos, and the whole vibe feels so cozy 🎞️. 🍜 Waking Up to Delicious Breakfast: They don't have a huge variety for breakfast, but the quality is consistently good. Especially that bowl of Shacha rice noodles – the broth is rich, and the peanut sauce is incredibly fragrant. Eating that first thing in the morning just makes you feel so good and energized, ready to go out and explore! 😋 🛏️ Guesthouse Price, Hotel Experience: Even though it's a guesthouse, it genuinely feels like it's managed to hotel standards! The bedding and bathrooms are spotless, so even germaphobes can relax. It's a comfortable and reassuring stay with an amazing overall experience! 🚶 The Location is Absolutely Superb: Step out and turn left, and just around the corner is Xingfu Road, packed with trendy shops – perfect for starting your own City Walk, great for browsing and photos 📸. Turn right, and it's even more significant; it leads directly to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, and there are several Bib Gourmand recommended snack shops hidden nearby! Counting it up, you can easily walk everywhere, which is incredibly convenient! 💰 And get this! For such an unbeatable location and quality, the price isn't outrageous; the value for money is truly high. If you're visiting Xiamen and want a comfortable and convenient place to stay, choosing this spot is a wise investment! Bookmark it! 🐎

Traveling with a child, I opted for a newer hotel, and it was quite clean. I booked two rooms, and both were upgraded – getting an upgrade for an extended stay is a real plus, especially since the hotel proactively offered it. The rooms are spacious with a very practical design. There's a robot that delivers packages quickly, so no waiting around. Since I didn't book breakfast, I can't comment on the dining, but I might try it next time. All the staff were excellent. They spoke in a very calm and unhurried manner, which was nice, haha. There was a female staff member named Xiaomi, and a tall male staff member whose name I don't recall, who was usually at the front desk – both were very patient and good.

The environment here is lovely, and the service attitude is excellent. This hotel really offers a fantastic experience! The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was very good. The service was warm and attentive, and check-in and check-out were efficient and quick. The breakfast was delicious, even if the variety wasn't huge. The location is superb, the surroundings are very spacious with great greenery, and it's convenient for getting around. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again!

An extremely satisfying stay. The B&B is located right inside Sanfang Qixiang (Three Lanes and Seven Alleys), giving it an excellent location. One turn takes you to the main street of Sanfang Qixiang, and in the other direction are Dongbai Center and the subway station. You can order takeout from virtually all the trendy Fuzhou restaurants you can think of. The B&B's decor is very antique and charming, yet it doesn't lack essential modern and stylish facilities. What truly stands out is the service. From picking us up at the subway station upon arrival, to helping us wash and dry our clothes, to the daily breakfast featuring a changing variety of local Fuzhou snacks, and finally to helping us load our luggage into the car and even sending us off with some fruit when we checked out – we truly felt at home. Although one night we didn't sleep well due to noisy neighbors, we informed the manager the next day, and he promptly helped us by moving our room to a quieter area. Ban She is highly recommended to all tourists who wish to stay in Sanfang Qixiang.

Excellent transit stay near Fuzhou Changle Airport! The apartment is spacious, clean, and offers a lovely sea view. The owner provides free airport pickup/drop-off and was very friendly – he even dropped us at Wanshou subway when available (ask in advance). Located just a 5-minute walk from a beach, with a few small restaurants and a mini-mart nearby, perfect for breakfast. Highly convenient for an overnight airport stop.”

The weather on the day I arrived was absolutely gorgeous, putting me in a fantastic mood. The blue skies and ocean were just perfect! I really loved the gentle sea breeze and the sound of the waves. As I was traveling solo and wanted a peaceful New Year, this trip was incredibly satisfying (^^). The room itself was also very spacious, bright, and clean. I asked them to clean the room first thing in the morning when I headed out, and they were very prompt and thorough. It was a great experience. The breakfast 🍳 selection was also very diverse. Enjoying breakfast 🥞 while looking out at the pool was a lovely way to spend my New Year's trip! The ocean views from this location are truly therapeutic 🌊. They offer scheduled shuttle bus service for airport transfers and a tourist bus from the hotel to Dongdu Cruise Terminal. On the morning I left, I needed to go to Nanputuo Temple, and the bus was conveniently going in that direction, so they dropped me off near Yanwu Bridge. The manager at the hotel lobby even reminded me about it! Very thoughtful service!

The best decision for the 2026 Chinese New Year! Due to changes in our holiday schedule, we only had three days. I checked Ctrip, and Fuzhou's flight prices hadn't increased. We wanted somewhere with a beach and warm weather, and the Haiyingwan Hotel met all our needs. Perfect for a seaside stroll with the kids! The breakfast was absolutely amazing – they had Fuzhou fish balls and 'guo bian' (local rice-flour soup), plus a wide variety of Western and Chinese options. We stayed in Building 2, and the ocean was just a three-minute walk away. During low tide, the kids were so engrossed in collecting shells they didn't want to leave. The sand was fine and soft; it was incredibly relaxing, especially if you just want to entertain kids and seniors. Even my 73-year-old mother loved it. The hotel grounds are like a park. For kids who love planes, this is a treat! I heard it's the only seaside airport, so you can watch planes to your heart's content. It's not noisy at night either; with the windows closed, you can barely hear anything. **Amenities:** Very child-friendly, everything you need is there. **Hygiene:** Excellent. **Environment:** A coastal garden. **Service:** Excellent. **2-3 Person Family Package:** Truly too much food, I suggest they make it available for lunch as well in the future. **Fuzhou Airport Shuttle:** Departs every 30 minutes, always ready to go. **Seaside Mini Train:** Absolutely a favorite for little ones.
