We were lured to this hotel through recommendation of influencers that boast this hotel with it's majestic look of that looking like a Chinese traditional castle. Although the location is not quite what we really like as it is about 8-10mins walking from the nearest Metro Station (Nanmen Metro) but the price was quite affordable and enticing that we decided to give it a try. The hotel facade does looks magnificant, grand and big from afar, the interior is huge and traditionally well-kept even though the design looks a bit dated but I find that it stays classy and traditional that way. We were assigned to one of the furthest room all the way to the back at 5069. The walk was quite long since it was all the way at the back. Room is definitely big and allow opening of luggages all at one go. The amenities given was sufficient, except they can improve by giving more shower bath gel and shampoo as the small bottles was not enough. Was also hoping they could have install international plugs for their international guest being an international hotel chain as well. Their staffs were polite and professional. Woudl recommend anyone coming to Suzhou to give this hotel one shot at least! The most important thing is the hotel stay comes with complimentary park access which is connected at the back of the hotel which would cost RMB40 if you were to pay to go in! Worth it!

The location is excellent, and the high-floor view is quite good. The afternoon tea included in the Trip.com package was incredibly good value for money, I just forgot to take a picture before eating it. The room is quite spacious, clean, and tidy. The facilities aren't brand new; there's no high-speed hairdryer or smart toilet, and the power outlet next to the desk was a bit difficult to open. There's only one tissue box, placed on the vanity. However, these are minor issues and don't really matter; they're easily adjustable. What I found unacceptable were two problems. Firstly, the elevator shaft connecting the suspended lobby to the first floor constantly emitted a whistling wind sound, which was noisy and unsettling. Secondly, I'm not sure if the air conditioning system is old and ineffective, or if they're saving energy and haven't turned it on properly. I couldn't adjust the temperature or mode. Outside, the temperature was dropping fast, nearing zero degrees, yet even with the in-room AC control set to 28°C, there was still no airflow. I called the front desk, and it took an age for someone to arrive. They pointed a forehead thermometer at the vent, it beeped, and they claimed the vent was blowing 26°C, saying there was no problem and that this was the set temperature, controlled centrally by the hotel. The problem is, I had the whimsical idea to hold a paper-thin tissue up to the vent, and it didn't even flutter.

EE31026**** 2026.01.20
The hotel called me a day in advance to ask about my room preferences. Upon arrival, I was even upgraded to a higher floor. The room was clean, hygienic, and well-arranged, with separate spaces for the washroom and toilet. The entire room was odor-free, and the view was expansive, directly facing the Xinjiekou commercial area, including Xinbai and Golden Eagle. It was excellent! The room was warm and cozy, and they even provided complimentary fruit. The Asia Pacific building and Jinling building are interconnected but are two separate buildings. The Asia Pacific building is a new, modern-style building, which is really nice! My stay was great! Very satisfied!

Staying at the Slender West Lake Hot Spring Resort was absolutely the right choice! When the front desk saw we had a child, they proactively upgraded us to a room in Building 6. The room was spacious and very new. Plus, the hotel's environment is beyond words – flowers, plants, little bridges, and flowing water everywhere, it's just so relaxing to look at. The room was spotlessly clean; the bedding, towels, and everything else were pristine, making our stay very reassuring. The service here is even better. They saw our child and proactively gave them a balloon flower, which made the kid very happy 😁. After check-in, the 'flower butler' service in Building 6 was also incredibly thoughtful and attentive. In the evening, they not only tidied our room but also provided a foot bath and massager. At check-out, they even gave us a souvenir. Soaking in the hot springs and enjoying the beautiful scenery here put me in an exceptionally good mood. It's definitely my top choice for a vacation!

MM841582**** 2026.01.20
Choosing this Suzhou-style hotel in the Pingjiang Road commercial district was the luckiest decision of my Suzhou trip. The stay far exceeded my expectations; it's absolutely incredible value for money! The location is truly impeccable, right in the heart of Pingjiang Road. A short walk takes you into the charming江南 (Jiangnan) ambiance of cobblestone streets and quaint canals. There are countless eateries and attractions nearby, making it super convenient for sightseeing, dining, and getting around. You won't have to worry about transportation at all – it truly feels like 'stepping out into a postcard.' What's even more delightful is the hotel's decor. The rich Suzhou aesthetic is immediately apparent, with white walls and dark tiles perfectly blending modern comfort with traditional elegance. Every detail reflects refinement and artistry. The warmth of the wooden furniture, the antique carved window grilles, and the tasteful soft furnishings give the whole space a gentle, watery charm without sacrificing style. Every photo you take here turns out to be a stunning, atmospheric shot – no need to search for the perfect angle. The hotel's corridors, courtyard, and even room corners provide picturesque backdrops for beautiful Jiangnan-style photos, just begging to be shared on social media. Stepping into the room was even more impressive; the actual environment is far more exquisite than the photos! The space is bright, spacious, and well-laid out, with no hint of feeling cramped. A thoughtful touch was the complete set of delicate tea-ware in the room. The owner, a warm and chatty local from Suzhou, even shared tips on tea appreciation during check-in, allowing us to slow down and savor the aroma of Jiangnan tea amidst our travels – a rare and precious indulgence. And the facilities were top-notch. The bathroom and hairdryer deserve special praise. The hot water was fast and steady, with a consistent temperature, which was wonderfully refreshing after a long day of travel. The hairdryer was powerful, drying hair quickly and smoothly. These small details really show the hotel's attentiveness. The bedding was exceptional too – the mattress was perfectly soft, and the duvet was breathable and comfortable against the skin. Once I lay down, I didn't want to get up, and I slept incredibly soundly every night, completely relieving the day's exhaustion. As for cleanliness, it was absolutely flawless. It's clear the hotel maintains strict standards; the room was spotless, with not a speck of dust. The corners, surfaces, and bedding were all clean and tidy, with no unpleasant odors, making for a truly reassuring and comfortable stay. For a hotel that offers such a fantastic location, rich Suzhou charm, excellent facilities, and strict hygiene management, the price is incredibly reasonable. The value for money is truly outstanding, making it an absolute gem for anyone visiting Suzhou. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

What we liked: Spacious and nice room design. Separate bath and toilet. Toilet has automatic flush, seat cover is also provided. Lots of snacks and amenities provided. There are amenities at the front desk such as disposable bath cover, disposable floss, mask etc you can collect from front desk. You can also ask for warm bottled water. Responsive staff, can communicate your needs via WeChat, very convenient. There are 3 lifts, very convenient. Snacks and drinks are free. Bath robes, room and bath slippers are provided too. Awesome that we stayed on the same floor as the lobby, very convenient. Location is near metro, malls, shops, and attractions, very convenient. I like that there are bath robes and different types of towels provided. What we think can be improved: We thought the big bath was indoors and wouldn’t be so cold in the winter but it has two open windows and it gets quite cold when the wind blows. It takes about 1.5h to fill up about 60-70% of the tub and you need to tap every 30 minutes or so to keep the water flowing. Quite time consuming to get it ready for a bath. Housekeeping is inconsistent, the cleaner left a towel on the floor on one of the days, left a cup unwashed, took away our straws and left the sink cover by the sink instead. They have a centralised heating system so it can get quite hot but the staff offered us a fan and we opened the balcony door for wind to enter so it was comfortable to sleep at night. There was some drilling going on in the early morning around 9-10am, it was just opposite our room so it disrupted my sleep, would be better for them to schedule it during non-sleeping hours. When we were checking out, the staff at the counter shared about them getting audited and if we don’t give a five star review, they will get a fine, I had never heard of it from other hotels and found it quite strange. She was insistent on us doing it on the spot even though we have to catch a train, that was not pleasant. We just went ahead to rush for our train. Not much to watch on the TV unfortunately.

I've been to Suzhou countless times since I was a child, going on spring outings there, and also because I love Suzhou pingtan (storytelling and ballad singing). So, when planning a short, leisurely trip, Suzhou is usually my go-to. This time, I specifically chose a hotel in the Jinji Lake Scenic Area to experience modern, new Suzhou. After staying two nights at the Crowne Plaza Suzhou, I highly recommend this hotel! The location is superb. You step right out into a shopping district and a metro station. You can conveniently reach Shantang Street, North Temple Pagoda (yesterday, I walked from North Temple Pagoda through Pishi Street to Guanqian Street, then east to Daru Lane and Pingjiang Road – it was amazing for someone who loves Suzhou like me) by taking Metro Line 1 and transferring to Line 2 or 4. The shopping district around the hotel is also great, making shopping and dining very convenient. This morning, I took a comfortable one-hour walk along the Jinji Lake shore from the hotel. Now, about the hotel itself. If you're driving, parking is very convenient (the underground garage has a direct elevator). The front desk staff were very warm and attentive, and both check-in and check-out were incredibly fast (actually, before my trip, a staff member proactively called and added me on WeChat, sending hotel information and answering many of my questions). The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The breakfast had a rich variety, with both Chinese and Western options, and tasted great. The value for money is excellent. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely choose Crowne Plaza Suzhou again. Afterward, I asked and found out the front desk staff member who proactively contacted me was named Dolphin 🐬 and the room attendant was Scallop (their names perfectly fit the hotel's theme). Thank you for your excellent service! I hope your leaders see this and give you bigger year-end bonuses. Hahaha.

I have to rave about my stay here – Alice, our butler, provided absolutely top-notch service! She was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout, and even proactively upgraded our room, which was a wonderful surprise during our trip. Whenever we encountered a minor issue during our stay, she was always quick to respond and resolved it perfectly, showing great professionalism and warmth. The room facilities were complete and well-maintained, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and all the amenities felt high-quality. What truly amazed me was the high-altitude view; the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of Xuanwu Lake and Purple Mountain. By day, it was a stunning landscape of mountains and water, and by night, the city lights twinkled beautifully. The hotel's location is excellent, making travel convenient. Both the soft and hard facilities are exceptional. This is definitely my top choice when visiting Nanjing, and I'll be back again!

MM425341****We booked a private family room, and the housekeeper, Ms. Zhou, checked us in and took us to the guest room. The room has a large bed and a small bed. The bathing pool is in the yard. If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!

GGuest UserThe service at the hotel was excellent, they were polite and very helpful. Any questions that you asked, they answered without hesitation. Overall the staff, were the best if I have to compare with other big and small hotels that I have been to. My friend and I booked the hotel together. The rooms were very very nice. We loved them. It was easy to travel around the resort, they have golf carts that can take you around the resort. So many activities to do there. You need to speak a little bit of Chinese though. But in case you don’t they will find someone to help you there. The hotel package we took included the hot springs, spar and breakfast. It was worth it. The springs are the best. There is also an infinity pool. The people there are very helpful, great service. It was easy to spot two foreigners but they treated us with so much kindness, especially the man and woman at the fish spring and the little cafe there names: 张浩川, 张刘纪 and 彭玉琴. So Hentique hotels and resort is huge. The area and the activities you can do there are plenty. You can get on a helicopter(480rmb), boat(272rmb) it includes going to the islands and mountain hiking, horse riding and many more. You just have to come with a good budget. Breakfast is at the big hotel that has a great view of the lake. Hentique pinecone has different restaurants around, the food is between 100 -300 per person. I suggest you bring snacks because there aren’t any shops close by. The big hotel has a shop where you can buy snacks for a price, and an all day restaurant. We ended up moving from hentique pinecone hotel to the big hotel but paid a little bit more and was worth every penny. The hotel really good, with a nice view, the manager on duty that day August 16th 2023 was the best manager, I forgot his name. His English was very very good. He answered all questions and helped us transfer from 松果 to the big hotel. Having being in China for a long time, this was the best trip ever, with the best service. We will surely go back to this place. Best service ever. Keep up the good work!!!

HHuahuaxiaojiejiePerhaps due to the room type, both rooms were far from the elevator. Around 8 a.m., there was a thumping noise from upstairs. The room was spacious, but the downside was that there was no TV or refrigerator. If you wanted to cool something, you had to go up to the second floor, which was quite inconvenient. If you were picking up a tour driver, you had to have him go into the lobby and scan a QR code before you could leave. The breakfast here was very poor. There was no basic milk, juice, or sauces. The outside bar only had two kinds of pickled cucumber and plain porridge. I got a bowl of bland noodles, so I skipped it the next day! It was simply not good. It's a shame that the hotel rooms are basic, but the food wasn't well-received.

RRyanYGEvery big holidays, our family has visited this hotel. It's already 4th time. Time flies. Even though, some facilities and cleanness are not perfect as same as 2 years ago, the cozy mood is fit for us. BTW, hot spring, please operate everyday. Only for winter time is not that pleasant for visitors who like to see sunset in the hot spring. After changing from Dusit Thani to Hilton, little bit decent but need to be improved. Too many flies in restaurant, aisle of buildings need to be clean. However, we will be there again. Thank you for staffs' kindness.
