Philippine Airlines Business Class seating varies by aircraft. The newest long-haul cabins provide more privacy and direct aisle access, while some older aircraft have a more traditional Business Class layout.

The A350-1000 currently provides PAL's newest Business Class experience. Its 42 seats are arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, so every passenger has direct aisle access. The seats are 20.25 inches wide, have a 44-inch pitch, convert into fully flat beds, and include privacy doors.
The A350-900 also has a 1-2-1 Business Class cabin, with 30 seats that convert into full-flat beds. PAL lists a 44-inch pitch and a seat width of approximately 23 to 24 inches for this cabin.
The A321neo Long Range has 12 Business Class seats in a 2-2 arrangement. Although it doesn't use a 1-2-1 layout, PAL describes the seats as providing all-aisle access and full-flat recline.
The A321ceo is considerably different. Its 12 Business Class seats use a 2-2 arrangement, with 37 inches of pitch and 6 inches of recline. PAL doesn't list Wi-Fi or inflight entertainment for this aircraft.
Philippine Airlines Business Class Seat Selection
If you're traveling alone, a 1-2-1 cabin is excellent because it gives you direct aisle access without disturbing another passenger. On the A350-1000, the privacy doors also give solo travelers a more secluded space.
If you’re traveling as a couple, you may prefer center seats with paired seating, as this design allows you to sit together. Your preferred location may also depend on whether you value a window view, extra privacy, or easier aisle access.
PAL can change aircraft assignments, so treat the seat map attached to your actual booking as the most useful guide. A Business Class ticket doesn't guarantee a specific seat type across the airline's fleet.

The A350-900 also has embedded entertainment, power outlets, and myPAL Wi-Fi, while its full-flat seats are designed for long-haul comfort. On the A321neo Long Range, Business Class includes full-flat seats, embedded entertainment, AC and USB-A power, and myPAL Wi-Fi.
The aircraft essentially plays a huge role when you're deciding whether a Business Class fare represents good value for your trip. A long overnight flight on a full-flat aircraft is a very different experience from a shorter flight in a reclining Business Class seat.
In-Flight Dining Options and Menu
PAL's Business Class dining combines Filipino and international dishes. Menus vary by route and flight, but travelers may find Filipino specialties alongside Asian and Western choices. Eligible passengers can use PAL's Book-a-Dish service to pre-order selected meals up to 72 hours before departure. Options can include Filipino dishes such as chicken inasal, bistek, and kare-kare, depending on the flight and menu.
If you’re unfamiliar with Filipino cuisine, it's useful to know that some dishes use ingredients with strong or distinctive flavors. Kare-kare, for example, is traditionally served with bagoong, a fermented seafood paste. Mabuhay Lounges are available at select Philippine airports, including Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Bacolod, and Cagayan de Oro. Facilities and operating hours differ by location.
At Manila (Ninoy Aquino International) and other major airports, lounge access can be useful if you arrive early, have a long wait before departure, or want somewhere quieter to work or relax. Philippine Airlines Business Class Baggage Allowance
Your Business Class baggage allowance depends on your route and fare conditions. Philippine Airlines (PAL) uses both piece-based and weight-based baggage systems, so there isn't one standard allowance for every Business Class itinerary. PAL states that the Free Baggage Allowance shown on your ticket applies to the specific flight.
On international routes that use the piece system, Business Class can include two checked bags weighing up to 32 kg (70 lb) each. For example, PAL's current U.S. and Canada baggage information lists 2 pieces at 32 kg (70 lb) per piece for Business Class.
Other routes use a total weight allowance instead. PAL's published tariff, for example, lists 30 kg for Business Class travel between the Philippines and Korea, while other destinations have different allowances.
If your itinerary includes connecting flights, check the baggage allowance for each sector. PAL notes that the allowance for one flight may not necessarily apply to a connecting flight, particularly when another carrier is involved.

This is very important if you're traveling on a multi-airline itinerary. A partner airline may apply different baggage rules to another sector, even if you purchased the entire trip as one itinerary.
Is Philippine Airlines Business Class Worth It? (Premium vs Economy)
PAL's cabin options vary according to aircraft and route, so the differences between cabins aren't identical on every flight.

PAL's international Premium Economy is available on selected A350 and A330 tri-class aircraft. It has a separate cabin, wider seats, personal entertainment screens, legrests, and a 38-inch seat pitch.
For domestic Philippine flights, PAL uses Comfort Class for its domestic premium-economy product. It provides benefits such as priority check-in and boarding, additional baggage, and increased legroom. It isn't the same cabin product as international Business Class.
If sleeping during a long flight is your priority, the aircraft's Business Class seat is the most important distinction to check. Premium Economy and Comfort Class offer additional space, but they don't provide the same full-flat sleeping experience.

How to Upgrade to Philippine Airlines Business Class
PAL has several upgrade options, but availability depends on your ticket, flight, aircraft, and the number of seats remaining in the higher cabin.
Philippine Airlines Business Class Upgrade With myPAL Upgrade
myPAL Upgrade is PAL's bidding system for eligible passengers. If your booking qualifies, you can submit an offer for an upgrade to a higher cabin. Eligible passengers may receive an invitation around seven days before departure, and travelers can also check their eligibility through the myPAL Upgrade page. You submit an offer within the available range, and you're charged only if the offer is accepted.
Remember that not all bookings qualify. PAL's exclusions include certain ticket types, award tickets, and some group bookings. A successful upgrade provides the applicable benefits of the upgraded cabin, including Business Class seating, meals, priority services, and the relevant baggage allowance. However, PAL states that mileage earned after a myPAL Upgrade is based on the original ticketed booking class, not the upgraded cabin.

PAL may also offer eligible passengers the opportunity to upgrade during online check-in or at the airport.
Online check-in upgrade offers can become available within 24 hours of departure, while airport upgrades are available for eligible passengers subject to availability and the applicable terms. Philippine Airlines Business Class Upgrade With Mabuhay Miles
Mabuhay Miles members can use eligible miles or upgrade certificates for qualifying flights, subject to PAL's redemption rules and available upgrade inventory.
The number of miles required depends on the route and type of upgrade. PAL's terms also specify restrictions on which flights, fares, and booking classes qualify. Now, if you're planning to use miles, check the eligible booking class before buying an Economy or Premium Economy ticket. Having enough miles doesn't guarantee an upgrade seat will be available.

The place is very accessible and convenient since it is near almost everything. Most of the staff were kind, hospitable, and accommodating, which we appreciated.
However, during our check-in, the receptionist on duty lacked proper assistance and explanation. While we were carrying our belongings and trying to figure out where the elevator was, she was busy talking and laughing with her co-worker. We were not informed properly about how to bring our things to the room, so the experience felt unprofessional at that moment.
Thankfully, one of the security guards noticed that we needed help and kindly assisted us with our cart and belongings. We truly appreciated his kindness and the hospitality shown by the other staff members.From£64

The Manila Hotel has an old but elegant and luxurious style. Marble and stone finishing, tall ceilings and a grand piano at the back with a musician playing pleasant music greets you as you walk through the entrance.
Lacking points from my personal experience:
1. The carpet floors need to be replaced. I had to change rooms because the first room I got had an unpleasant smell to it (they quickly changed my room after I went to the reception, so it wasn't terrible) and although I didn't notice until the end of my stay, the new room's carpet was frayed at the edges.
2. The night mode of the lights (many switches) completely cuts power to the power outlets. I didn't know and ended up waking up to a phone and power bank with a dying battery and needing to stay in the hotel a couple of hours until they finished charging. Maybe just a warning in the future?
The good parts:
1. The service! People are SO accommodating, pleasant and efficient. Reception staff, waiters, bell boys and basically everyone greets you with a smile and tries to solve any problems with utmost focus and cordiality.
2. Traditional pride. Traditional fashion exhibition at the front was a great touch to my visit. The whole place (restaurants, pools, spa, rooms, etc) add to the experience. I could have stayed in the hotel and felt like I hadn't missed Manila's charm.
3. Excellent location. I realised early on that I could literally see every single thing from my ”1 day tour of Manila” from my hotel room. Nothing says great location like this.From£71

I traveled to the Philippines to visit relatives. It was my mother's birthday, so we stayed in Manila. Whenever I stayed in Manila, I always stayed at the Philippine Plaza, but as soon as I found out it had closed, I started looking for a hotel. My requirements were that it be located on Roxas Boulevard, have good access to the airport and tourist attractions, and have good security. After searching and reading reviews, I decided that this hotel was ideal. I arrived early in the morning by overnight bus, but they kindly allowed me to leave my luggage before check-in and go out for breakfast. They also made arrangements to ensure a smooth check-in. I had mentioned in advance that it was my mother's birthday, and unexpectedly, a lovely birthday cake was waiting in our room. The room was clean, and the front desk staff provided wonderful service with smiles before, during, and after check-in. However, I was disappointed by the manners and attitude of some guests. Dogs were roaming freely in the restaurant and near the front desk (the website I checked said that pets were not allowed, but the hotel actually allowed them). There were also people walking down the corridors soaking wet. The most shocking thing was that, although we know it was our mistake, my mother's coat, which she had left near the front desk, went missing. It was an expensive coat that she cherished. My mother, myself, and everyone traveling with us remembered losing the coat at the hotel, so we checked with the staff multiple times, but it couldn't be found. It was almost certainly stolen inside the hotel. I don't know if they checked the security camera footage. I have stayed at famous hotels in the Philippines, such as the Philippine Plaza and the Manila Hotel, and five-star hotels in various countries, but frankly speaking, this is not a five-star hotel. We stayed for one night. When I booked the room, it clearly indicated that the maximum capacity was 3 people, and my booking was for 3 guests. The breakfast was also indicated as being for 3 people. However, the booking stated that we could check with the hotel upon arrival if the additional person would be free of charge or subject to an extra fee. I honestly wouldn’t have minded paying for an extra person’s breakfast.
However, when we arrived at the hotel and were checking in, I was charged for the third person, even though my booking clearly indicated 3 guests. Apparently, the third person was not included in the amount I paid through Trip.com. It was a bit confusing because what was indicated on the app did not seem to match the actual booking at the hotel. It clearly showed that my reservation was for 3 people.
Anyway, we were already there, so there was nothing much I could do except not let it ruin our mood because we just wanted to relax.
Now, when we entered the room, the TV was another issue. Almost none of the channels were watchable because the signal was so poor. It felt like we had to search for a signal just to get a clear picture. Nakakaloka! Thankfully, the Wi-Fi worked, and I was able to connect my Apple TV, so at least we were still able to watch something.
Another thing happened when my companion accidentally dropped their charger. When they looked under the bed, they found two oranges that seemed to have been left behind by the previous guest. That made us wonder if the rooms were being cleaned properly. There were also no power outlets near the bed and no outlet in the bathroom for a hair dryer, which was quite inconvenient.
As for breakfast, it was ₱799 per person. But the options were quite limited: rice, eggs, hotdog, corned beef, potato wedges, two kinds of fruit—papaya and watermelon—pandesal, and sliced bread. At one point, the bread almost caused their microwave to catch fire! They also had coffee and juice.
I was honestly disappointed because, considering the price, I expected more. For the same price, you can find all-you-can-eat breakfast options with a much wider variety of food.
In terms of service, though, the staff were very nice and helpful. That’s something I really can’t complain about.
The hotel itself is already quite old. I understand that it may be considered affordable, but even if the hotel is old, I still hoped that the overall experience would feel worth the price. For me, the breakfast was definitely not worth ₱799 per person.
For comparison, Manila Prince Hotel, which is more affordable than Bayview, exceeded my expectations. The hotel is also quite old, but the quality of their service—especially the breakfast—is on a completely different level.
Anyway, we still enjoyed our stay because we were there to relax and spend time together. But would I book again? Probably not, unless I really need to stay there because of its location and accessibility to the places I need to go.From£25

The experience of being able to see tropical fish from inside the room was truly special and wonderful! It was also a big plus that we could stay indoors without needing the air conditioning, even though it was hot outside. We were told the tank lights would be off from 9:15 PM to 6:15 AM and curtains would be drawn for cleaning from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, but this was not actually the case.
Also, as other reviews might mention, check-in was quite busy. They explained that our room was ”under investigation and inaccessible,” and we ended up waiting in the lobby for 50 minutes. I felt that, in return, they should have offered us an extended check-out.From£33

It's a 30-minute Grab ride from the airport if there's no traffic. The hotel is in a historical building, and you can really feel its grandeur in the lobby, hallways, and staircases. However, while it's near the coast, the surrounding area isn't very clean, so I wouldn't recommend walking around. A 5-minute Grab ride to Robinson Place will get you everything you need: a supermarket, a drugstore, and restaurants. The pool on the 4th floor has a great view and is easy to use as it's not crowded. The breakfast buffet is about average. Intramuros is also about a 5-minute Grab ride away.From£39

I was so disappointed. The shower host from the bathroom was defective but in fairness it was repaired on the 2nd day midnight. And also no rubber bathroom mat (since the bathroom floor tiles is slippery) . They only produce the mat after my sister a pwd has warned them for any accident that she may incurred the front desk will be responsible. While the water heater is not 24 hours based on their post. Water heater resume on my 3rd day stay. The four treadmills at the gym are also not working it is all under maintenance.

We booked a suite room here because we had our wedding preparations at this hotel five years ago, and we expected the same quality of service and experience. Unfortunately, it feels very different now compared to before.
Last night, there were two people sleeping in the lobby who did not appear to be hotel guests. We were wondering why they were allowed to stay there, as we understood that the lobby is intended for hotel guests.
Additionally, the towels in our room appeared old and worn out. Overall, we believe that the cleanliness and security of the hotel should be reviewed and improved.
There was also a drunk individual outside the 7-Eleven last night who was saying things to us, which made us feel scared and uncomfortable. Although the staff did ask him to leave, we still would have appreciated an apology regarding the incident.
Overall, we were disappointed with this experience, especially since we chose this hotel based on the positive memories and standards we experienced during our wedding preparations five years ago.From£20

I had a great stay at Hotel Benilde. The location is very accessible, making it easy to get around the area. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel itself was super clean, which made my stay even more comfortable.
The only downside was the limited breakfast options, which is why I decided not to avail of it. Instead, I opted to eat at KFC, which is conveniently located right next to the hotel.

Another big plus was the spacious room which made our stay very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay at Manila Prince Hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the hotel had a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The overall place is decent, however, the linen cover seems to have already been used due to its pungent odour. Every time we asked for room service, it just made the whole room smell worse as the mop used to clean the room likely had not been changed or cleaned. There was even a time when the cleaner took the money that had been left out in the open by the table, although we were going to tip anyway, it is just concerning that they’d take whatever money’s left out without having prior knowledge of whether the money is going to be given. What if it had been someone else's money or a larger amount than usual?From£23

This 8-day stay was a basic place to crash, but it felt like they cut too many corners, leading to a lot of issues:
1. The hot water relied on solar, so the temperature was often too low. After the staff switched to the boiler, the water pressure became abnormal, and there was a strong, foul odor from a broken septic pipe.
2. The room didn't have any drinking cups, so I had to use my own disposable ones. The space was a bit small, and the old window AC unit was really noisy, which made it hard to sleep.
3. Housekeeping was pretty lackluster. They only changed the bedding and did a quick wipe-down of the bathroom; the floor was never cleaned during my entire stay.
I hope the hotel improves its amenities, cleaning services, and water supply in the future to enhance the guest experience.From£15

To be honest we change room 2x! The TV was broken at first.. and then next the aircon ! I cant imagine we transfer room at 3:30am what a hassle.. no signal in our room and very slow connection of wifi!
