5-Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely impeccable stay! This place is super brand new, spotless, and unbelievably classy from the moment you walk in.
Huge space with a big balcony overlooking the awesome sea view! It made us all smile waking up to it! The home is simple yet beautiful and immaculately clean down to every detail.
The toilet? Super classy and hotel-level luxe. In fact, one of our kids said, It’s like a classy hotel in a homestay!” and they were 100% right!
If you want space, style, and that five-star feel without the hotel price tag, BOOK THIS NOW! My family and I can’t wait to return and will definitely book this again, and check out all their 3- 4 bedrooms units!
Definitely a gem! Don’t miss it!
Good for location but not exactly cheap. Paid about 120 sgd for a weekday night, carpark is per entry 5rm nett, if getting in and out multiple times may add up to alot for parking.
Breakfast inclusive in booking was average, not fantastic. But overall clean.
Room had some birthday deco (we did not request) and birthday card was name to another person which was weird.
Body soap was also placed outside at basin area which was abit weird and inconvenient.
View was good, managed to see fireworks too on a random weekday night.

Helpful and kind front desk receptionists. Requested for the highest floor away from lift and traffic noises so they really gave me a nice unit facing city view, but the neighbour next door was quite noisy but that’s ok didn’t affect me much. Room was spacious but not clean, found strands on hair on the floor and in the bathroom. The bathroom floor wasn’t cleaned properly too. As someone who is a cleanliness freak, it really affected my stay. TV has both local and singaporean channels and can also connect to Netflix, but the wifi was quite weak and slow but the maintenance came to fix that. Room amenities such as floor slippers, towels and dental kits were provided, however I found a small stain on the bath towel but that’s ok as there was a spare. The Airbnb is close to many nearby eateries and within walking distance to KSL, which was what I appreciated. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and peaceful sleep. Will revisit again on my day off! Kudos to the front desk staff for excellent guest services! 😍

The Hotel Location is easy to access and lots of good food & salon amenities around it. Likewise, the Hotel Room is clean and tidy. The Customer Service is friendly & courteous. Also, I would like to compliment their Technician Staff having good fast response who came to repair our Card Slot System immediately when we notified them that our room has no more power supply due to the faulty card slot system. Keep up thwbGood Work!

Clean little apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 attached toilets. 4 towels and 4 mineral water bottles were provided. So were tooth brushes, shampoo, body wash and combs. Overall it was good value for a family of four. The location is super near KSL and also lots of good food near by. There is a nice pool with Jacuzzi and kids pool, as well as a playground and games room on Level 12.

Mixed Experience – Good Service Recovery but Initial Handling Could Be Better
I recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a mixed experience.
For the first two nights, we suspected the room was not properly cleaned as both my husband and I experienced continuous sneezing throughout the stay. I reported this to the front desk after the first night, but no action was taken or escalated. Unfortunately, we had to endure a second uncomfortable night before I raised the issue again to the duty manager.
I must commend the duty manager for her prompt and decisive action — she arranged an immediate room change, which made a significant difference. This level of service recovery was appreciated. However, it is unclear why the initial concern was not escalated earlier by the front desk, which could have prevented unnecessary discomfort.
On a positive note, when I fell sick during the stay, the front desk staff were thoughtful enough to send porridge and warm water to my room — a kind gesture that I truly appreciated.
The hotel’s location is very convenient, and the breakfast selection varies daily, which is a plus. A special mention to the egg station staff — they were consistently friendly and attentive, handling every request with a smile even during busy periods.
Check-out was smooth and efficient.
Overall, while there were some lapses in initial handling, the service recovery and certain staff members’ efforts stood out.
First time staying at this hotel, and even though it was just for one night, I really enjoyed it. The room was a bit small but clean, the pillows were comfy, and the air-cond was adjustable. We had a small issue with the TV, but the front desk sorted it out super fast — kudos! All the staff, from the security guard to the front desk and even those we met in the lift, were friendly and made us feel very welcome. And the best part is that the breakfast was really delicious with lots of choices.

I recently stayed at Z Hotel Johor and had a pleasant overall experience. The hotel is very centrally located in Johor Bahru, making it convenient to access shopping malls, restaurants, and key attractions within walking distance.
The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the nice city view from the room. The amenities provided were sufficient for a short stay, and everything was in good working condition.
Service was generally good—staff were polite, helpful, and responsive when needed. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient.
On the downside, parking can be a bit limited, and the lobby area is relatively small, which may feel crowded during peak hours.
Overall, Z Hotel Johor is a solid choice for travelers looking for a comfortable, affordable, and conveniently located stay in Johor Bahru. I would consider staying here again on my next visit.
Location is very convenient, in the shopping mall. In the shopping mall wide choice of restaurants, cafe where you can have a meal . Room is clean and spacious, bed and pillows are comfortable. Towels new and soft . Air conditioner worked good, easy adjust. There was cattle ,tea, coffee, free water in the room.Staff is friendly and helpful. Good choice at breakfast of European and Asian food. There is a swimming pool, looks beautiful, but we didn't have time to try it. Recommend!
Pros
Price: I feel this is a good buy, considering this being a 3 bedroom apartment.
Location: Superb - right above Paradigm Mall. This is my most important factor as I have children on my trips.
Check in/out: Very convenient - it's a self check in/out using a locker system and it's super smooth.
Security: One of the tightest securities I've been at in Msia - entry to lobby door, entry to shopping mall door, and even the swimming pool level needs to tap key card.
Amenities: Nice clean swimming pool. There's also a steam room, badminton court, games room, playground, function room in the apartment.
View: Pretty view of houses - and we witnessed a lot of fireworks 😍
Cons
Hiccups during check in: (These hiccups below are purely based on MY experience here. You may not experience the same as I did)
We were issued the wrong key so we had to go back down to check out and check in to the right apartment. Aft checking in, we found our master bedroom's aircon and toilet lights, as well as TV couldn't be switched on. Had to wait for maintenance guys to check and fix them. Wasted about 2 hours of our time in total.
Compensation: Felt like management should have offered a change of room for our convenience. But they didnt - so I requested for it because the maintenance was taking too long. We were also not offered any form of compensation - which I feel, again, should have been from mgt side - so I initiated a request for our late check out waiver.
Customer service kindly agreed to both requests.
House rules & housekeeping: Too many house rules. And housekeeping is not ideal - change of towels and bedsheets are per every 3 days. We have to dispose of our own rubbish during the stay (in the common rubbish room), and we also have to pack and tie all our rubbish bags from the bins before checking out (which i feel is unnecessary cos housekeeping is alr gonna come to clean...?)
But I'm sure my cons are just my opinion. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Great
KKoh Luke ThengI had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and very professional. The check-in process was smooth, and the famous warm DoubleTree cookie made the arrival even more pleasant.
The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the city. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the well-maintained facilities. The housekeeping team did a great job keeping everything spotless.
The hotel location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby shopping malls, restaurants, and the CIQ checkpoint. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options and the food quality was excellent.
Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru to anyone visiting Johor Bahru and look forward to staying here again in the future

Very Good
YYL_SnoopyIf you like a quiet, cosy place that give you a resort feel, then this hotel will be a good choice.
Initially booked this hotel is because wanting to try the Gem Spa, as previously I tried their other outlet which was very good. But sadly due to time constraints, we didn't manage to go the spa.
What I like about this hotel is, there is a hard rock within the hotel. So if you do not want to travel 15mins out, then you can actually chill and eat there.
The room is cosy but sadly that even I had booked the sea view, the view was not directly. I was allocated a room that faced the road and far right is the sea. But the plus point is I have a bathtub.
Overall the service is good, breakfast is average and the occupancy of the hotel is high but you do not feel crowded.

CCandace KThe gym, though small, was well-equipped with towels and bottled water. The kids' play area clearly hadn't been tidied up after use, and no one seemed to be cleaning it. It was also incredibly hot in there, with no AC remote in sight. As for the breakfast buffet, it had everything you'd expect, but the only downside was the lack of staff to seat or guide guests. On our first morning, we had to stand next to other tables and wait for a spot to open up 😅. Our room had a QR code for requests, and when we used it, staff were very quick to help with any issues. The only minor flaw was some dust in the room; I actually felt a bit itchy the first night. We were in the East Wing, which honestly felt more like a serviced apartment than a hotel, yet they didn't even provide dish soap 😅😅.
TTzieqyI stayed together with my husband and child. The self check in was smooth. They provided very clear instructions for the check in. The room was clean and the pool view from the room was great. I love that the balcony is quite spacious. Their service is also good. Very prompt response from them.
The feedback I have is if possible, to get a parking lot that is nearer to the lobby entrance at level 5. And for the common room, maybe can rearrange the drawer cabinet away from the power socket because the current position, the cabinet is covering the socket thus we're unable to charge while in the room.
But these are minor issues. The most important thing is that I had a comfortable stay and it really is a great accommodation.
CChloe@@The hotel is easy to find, u can easily spot it on the way to desaru. We stayed at the hotel for 1 night, didn’t include the breakfast. Overall it is a good stay, the hotel room is up to standard. Clean, bright and smell good as well. The parking charge is rm 7.60/ stay, unlimited in and out from the hotel. The hotel provides free shuttle bus service as well, it is convenient for those who don’t have own transport.
I would highly recomend this hotel for those who want to visit desaru!
TTentenAmaiodinThe unit is spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed is bouncy and we slept well. The place also comes with useful amenities like a fridge, electric stove, oven, iron and hair dryer. However, there is no water dispenser or water filter provided. Basic utensils such as plates, spoons and bread knives are available, but there are no forks, bowls or other cooking tools, so you may need to bring your own or purchase separately if you plan to cook.
The downside was the check-in experience. We were only given the access card without the bedroom key, and ended up stuck outside for almost an hour trying to figure out how to enter. The owner’s response was quite late, which made the situation frustrating. The TV in the room was also not functioning. On the positive side, the owner did allow a late check-out at 1pm.
Overall, the stay was comfortable after settling in, but the initial access issue and late response affected the first impression.
BBryan FangLovely stay here. Wanted to give it a try since it is the latest hotel in JB.
Lobby on ground floor while check-in reception on the 5th floor.
A cafe, club lounge, noodle restaurant and the breakfast restaurant are located on the 5th floor too.
Gym, swimming pool, kids wet playground and function/ballrooms are on the 6th floor.
We stayed in a normal deluxe room. 39m²
Spacious with sitting area and table. Spacious toilet as well. Toilet with bidet. Shower with both rain and handheld shower head. Large dressing table equipped with a lighted face mirror, hairdryer and a variety of toilet amenities.
View from the 12th floor was great. Facing the taman pelangi. Unblocked views.
Staff were all friendly and polite. Many of them greeted us whenever we pass by.
Carpark entrance is on the left side of the hotel building. Carpark is shared with the shopping mall which is stated to open soon in April.
Do let the reception know that you are driving. State your carplate number and be entitled unlimited ins and outs during your stay
Well recommended. Paid 189sgd for a Friday night

Great
GGuest UserGreat stay at Sunway Grid Loft Suite. The loft layout was spacious and modern, with a nice separation between living and sleeping areas. Clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near Sunway Big Box with plenty of food options nearby. Breakfast was also 5 mins walk away plus a few options to choose from.
GGuest UserThe room lighting was quite dim, and the fragrance in the room was very strong — something to keep in mind as not everyone may like it. Breakfast was alright; the roti prata was decent, but the rest of the dishes were around a 2/5 for me.
