"When I tried to check out, they stopped me, saying I hadn't paid for two nights' stay and needed to pay on the spot. I was furious because I had prepaid when I booked through Ctrip. I contacted Ctrip, and they said they would have their agent communicate with the hotel, but I was in a hurry to drive to my next destination. The hotel wanted me to write a statement with my name and contact information to prove I had paid before they would let me leave; Ctrip customer service wouldn't let me write these things, saying it would be detrimental to me… After dragging it out for half an hour without clarifying the situation, the hotel finally let me leave after I insisted, leaving the Ctrip agent to clean up the mess."
