I stayed at the Westin Grand Central for a day and service and cleanliness was below standard, so I moved to Hyatt Grand Central for 3 nights.  The location was very convenient as it’s right at the top (adjacent) to the Grand Central station.  The area was full of restaurants and tourists must visit places - Summit, Empire State Building, Time Square etc.  In the hotel, there was a lounge on 16/F which was a good deal especially for a family as it offered continental bfast, snacks, coffee, tea and soft drinks and its charged on a per room bases. The staff at the reception and the concierge were friendly and attentive with the usual Hyatt experiences.  I will return in my next visit.

It's really worth the money to have such a newly decorated and thoughtful hotel in the old neighborhood. Because I arrived early, a handsome guy at the front desk who looked like a young Jordan was very kind and moved me to a high-rise room. You can see the Empire State Building outside the window! He also gave me a welcome drink and exchanged coins for it, but unfortunately I missed the time because I was out and came back.

Overall a very solid hotel with very welcoming and helpful front desk staff. The rooms are decently sized for NYC and well-appointed with the essentials. 

I was impressed when on at least one evening there was even turndown service.

The shower took a minute or so to have a proper water flow, though the pressure was never all that great.

I appreciate having the Nespresso machine and pods in the room.

I’m always glad to stay at this property especially because I very much like the location, not in the heart of a touristic area but still with many fantastic places to eat, excellent subway connectivity, and convenient shopping for the basics.

The location of the hotel is great as it is close to many shops. On some nights, there are live bands performing at the bar area. Free snacks and drinks are offered. You can take CDs up to your room to listen, which is quite a unique experience. The bed is very comfortable. However, the lighting in the room makes it quite difficult to do makeup. The shower head is also quite small.

If you are sick and need to go to the hospital, this hotel is best. It has a good wheelchair and accessible room, and most of all, it is right in front of the University Hospital of Barcelona, so you can go to an excellent university hospital by wheelchair. Also, this hotel's rooftop club lounge looks like a special tourist destination for local young people on weekends. In addition, its health clubs and swimming pools are separate from the hotel buildings, and they are spacious and have good facilities.

My mom, who was injured during the trip, was lucky to stay at this hotel and receive excellent service from Barcelona Hospital.
