The Murray, Hong Kong, a Niccolo Hotel boasts a unique and personalized design. The rooms are also quite new. Jet at the front desk was incredibly enthusiastic and quickly processed our check-in, even upgrading our room type. When we asked about shopping and attractions near the hotel, he was very helpful with his recommendations. The hotel restaurant is also excellent, with delicious food. I'll definitely be coming back often.

Choosing a hotel in a scenic spot, although there was some traffic when we arrived, being able to step out and immediately be in Taikoo Li, or turn a corner to Chunxi Road, and then look up to see the IFS panda – who understands that joy?! It's... a bit like a panda's side profile, haha. 😂

The room window faces the climbing panda on IFS.
During the day, you see it diligently 'working'.
At night, you still see it hanging there.
There's a strange empathy, like 'I'm on vacation, and it's still working overtime'.

The room has super large floor-to-ceiling windows.
The rooftops of Taikoo Li are right below.
When you're tired from shopping, you can just go back to the room and chill out.
Once you've rested enough, you go downstairs and continue shopping.
If you're coming to Chengdu and want to stay in the city center, and also want to gaze at a panda every day,
then the Niccolo is definitely the place for you! 🐼✨

Overall, the location and high-altitude views of Niccolo Changsha are impeccable. The room offers expansive views, and the public areas are designed with sophistication. Most staff members provide attentive service, and the numerous positive reviews online truly live up to the hype. However, during this stay, I encountered two issues that impacted my experience.

The first was a minor flaw in room hygiene. Upon entering the bathroom to use the bathtub, I found hair inside, which instantly diminished my impression. For a high-end hotel, stricter oversight of room cleaning is certainly needed.

The second issue involved the high-speed elevators. As the hotel features ultra-high-speed lifts, affected by the piston effect of the shaft's wind pressure, the doors on some floors close with extreme force, creating a significant impact at the moment of closing. You can distinctly feel the air pressure difference, posing a safety risk of trapping people. I hope the hotel can further evaluate and adjust the door machine parameters and optimize shaft depressurization. On the morning of check-out, an elevator suddenly closed forcefully, almost trapping someone. The hotel responded immediately and promptly secured the area.

After I reported the issues, Jean, Richard, and Swily responded very quickly, with sincere attitudes, and actively followed up on the situation. They proactively communicated solutions, and I could feel their genuine desire to compensate for the unsatisfactory stay experience, which is commendable.

The hardware and views are significant advantages for the hotel; the night views, amenities, and afternoon tea experience were all excellent. If the hotel can optimize the room cleaning details and address the safety concerns with the high-speed elevator's wind pressure and door closing, the overall experience would better match the brand's positioning. My thanks to the staff members for their dedicated handling, and I look forward to future improvements in the hotel's details.
