Before coming, I was a bit worried about the hotel's age and potential issues with its facilities. However, upon arrival, it exceeded my expectations. The environment is top-notch, and the hygiene is excellent. They provide a wide range of high-quality amenities. The room was tidied up perfectly every day.

Key points: The hotel's location is superb, extremely close to the central shopping area of Ikebukuro. Even on rainy days, spending an entire day at Sunshine City, which is connected to the hotel, is no problem. Furthermore, the dining options in Ikebukuro are surprisingly affordable. You can find quality meals with good service for 1000-1500 yen. Even if you don't want to eat out, the FamilyMart on the first floor of the hotel can cover all your meals with a rich variety of options. Lastly, the transportation is very convenient. From Ikebukuro East Station, you can easily reach Shinjuku and Shibuya. From the West Station, you can get to Ueno, Ginza, and Sumida.

This is quite a big hotel with many floors and many rooms. This means there can be quite a long queue to check in during peak hours. The reception staff are quite efficient though. Facilities are excellent with many restaurants and even a bowling alley. They offer a luggage storage service that is very useful and not available in most other hotels. Location is great right next to Shinagawa Station.

We had a good stay at Shinjuku Prince Hotel. The location is excellent - right at the heart of Shinjuku. The restaurant and bar streets are just right across. After a day out, we always came back to the area for food ad there are a lot of choices. Also, the seibu-Shinjuku line is right beside, making it very easy to travel around. From our room, we could see a view of the area as well as the Godzilla on top of a building. 

The room is small but cosy, we had a comfortable stay despite its size. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Tokyo!

I enjoyed the experience overall. The hotel is very close to the station, which made traveling around Tokyo very convenient. There is also a FamilyMart right below the hotel, perfect for quick snacks and essentials.

The hotel has a hot spring and gym facilities, although I didn’t get the chance to use them during my stay. The room itself was super spacious compared to many hotels in Tokyo. The bed was comfortable, the bathtub was large and very clean, and I also liked the Bluetooth audio speaker provided in the room.

My only complaint was the touchscreen air-conditioning control panel. It was not very responsive and honestly quite frustrating to use. I would have preferred a traditional remote controller instead. Aside from that, everything else felt modern, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

The room was a bit small, but it had all the essential amenities. The bathroom was quite tiny, and it would be cramped for two people. If you want a Tokyo Tower view room, make sure to book the room type shown with the Tokyo Tower in the picture and request 'tower view' in your notes. During the May Day holiday, the Tokyo Tower lights shut off at midnight. Breakfast was a bit pricey, costing an additional 150 or 190 per person (can't quite remember the exact amount), but the variety was excellent, and the freshly made cheese scrambled eggs were delicious. You can see the Tokyo Tower from the breakfast restaurant. The lobby is beautiful, and they offer luggage storage on both check-in and check-out days. The staff were all very friendly.

I stayed here again this year. It's right across the street from the Takanawa Exit of Shinagawa Station, in the East Tower. You can check yourself in and out, which is convenient. I stay here often for business trips, mainly because it's close to Haneda Airport and makes transferring to various train lines really easy. If you book in advance, the room rates are quite reasonable. I've tried to book breakfast before but never actually ate it because the lines were too long, so I just skipped it this time. The single room is big enough to open a large suitcase flat, which is fine.  However, the luggage storage service now only allows same-day storage. Last time I was here, I could store my luggage for a few days until I returned from another location to check in again. This time, the staff member didn't even know if there was a time limit for the automatic lockers and just said she didn't know. Absolutely no service awareness; she could have checked and then gotten back to me. Luckily, I can speak Japanese, so I asked another Japanese staff member, who answered fluently and satisfactorily. It really shows how some local staff lack an understanding of their job responsibilities, the equipment within their workplace, and how to use it – it's truly baffling. So disappointing! I guess that's why she's only working at the luggage counter...

It was horrible first 2 nights as air conditioner wasn't turned on yet due to Japan policy.  3 other nights was good once air conditioner is on. Make sure they have it on depending on the season you stay in. 

Clean room and water was fantastic. Good for business stay. Expect small rooms in hotel it's normal

Here's a review of the hotel:

1.  The hotel offers a shuttle service from Odawara, which is convenient for guests, but requires a reservation.
2.  There's a shuttle bus that goes to and from Togendai and Hakone-en Prince Hotel. Without a car, getting around isn't very convenient.
3.  The hotel has a golf course, making it a good option for golfers.
4.  The front desk doesn't offer Chinese-speaking service, but there are staff who speak Chinese in the restaurant. It seems profit is prioritized over service.
5.  Breakfast is just average – neither good nor bad.
6.  Dinner is a buffet, costing 5800 yen. It's not great, and you have to pay extra for better options. I wouldn't recommend it.
7.  The rooms have balconies with nice views outside.
8.  If you're considering staying at a Prince Hotel, I'd suggest spending a bit more for the Hakone-en Prince Hotel; it would be much more convenient.

I first stayed at this hotel seven years ago and absolutely loved the lush green golf course and the peaceful comfort of the open-air rotenburo. I chose to stay here again this time, despite being well aware of the inconvenient transportation. I decided to make a compromise; I took a taxi for check-in and arranged a private car for check-out, so I didn't have to rely on the hotel's somewhat limited transportation options, especially since their shuttle only goes to a particular bus stop. Upon checking in, I was delighted to find that the overall facilities hadn't been scaled back. The courtyard was also filled with numerous lilies, their subtle fragrance perfuming the air. Our butler, Yamaki, spoke good English and was very pleasant. Although she was a newcomer with only a year of experience, she made us feel incredibly welcome and at ease. This time, in addition to the yukata provided in the room, I also rented a beautiful patterned one, which was very similar to the one I wore at Sensoji Temple – that made me really happy! Last time, we had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, but my child wasn't particularly fond of the dinner, so this time we only opted for breakfast. The breakfast spread was remarkably similar to what it was seven years ago, and it still maintained that wonderful sense of occasion.

The humidifier box in the air purifier was quite dirty, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. For breakfast, only the chicken wings and unagi rice were good; everything else was nothing special. Before booking, I was told there would be children's toys and puzzles, but upon arrival, the front desk said they only had picture books. As for children's shower gel and baby bottle cleaner, you had to call the front desk to have them sent up. The staff's service attitude was very good, though. The parking lot is conveniently located on B1, making it easy to get around by car.
