Great hotel. Incompetent staff. Arrived at 01:00 aftre 18 hours flight and checked in, only to get the Key, walk all the way to my room ( which is way back of the hotel ),  the key doesn't work. Called in room services thrice- no answer - so no dinner. Morning woke up - no toothbrush - called inroom services twice-no answer - finally called housekeeping and they got me a toothbrush. Went for breakfast and said I didn't want buffet (AED 135), just wanted A la carte- they said I needed to go to the cafe if I wanted à la carte, went there and asked for Oatmeal - the service lady thought it was poached eggs. She had no idea what porridge or Oatmeal was. So went back to my room and called housekeeping & ordered it. Its a great hotel, but the staff clearly lack customer  training

Stayed for 3 nights , great welcome with complimentary breakfast as we arrived way early before check in time. Service was great from all the lads , canteen , reception, room service 
Couldn’t fault anything 
Room was clean,spacious and beautiful. The amenities were great, nice pools, nice private beach

Our family had an unforgettable stay from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the check-in, concierge service, and hotel staff were all superb. Truly a 10/10! They were incredibly attentive, responsive, always smiling, and genuinely caring. A special shout-out to Alex, Shivani, Jamshir, Jampesh, and Amine from Latest Recip, who were incredibly kind to our baby Imran.

As a swimming enthusiast, I booked this hotel mainly for its multiple pools. I was satisfied with all the other facilities, except for one critical issue that makes me urge others to be cautious before booking:

The room was so incredibly damp that not only was there condensation all over the balcony glass, but the room floor was also covered in water. The more the air conditioning ran, the more water appeared. All the clothes in my suitcase became damp, and the tea bags looked like they'd been soaked and stained. The new towels I brought molded after just a few days, and the duvet was also wet. The wet floor also posed a slip hazard, which is just absurd.

Furthermore, there were multiple stains on the bed sheets.

Reading other reviews made me a bit nervous at first, but after checking in, I found it to be absolutely wonderful. The hotel was very clean, and the Thai-style gardens and pool were fantastic. Plus, the hotel is right on the beach – just a short walk from our room, which was incredibly convenient. My child loved it so much they didn't want to leave!

The only downside is that there's nothing much outside the hotel; it's a bit isolated. So, if you're looking for a relaxing hotel stay with family fun, this place is perfect. There are a few restaurants by the sea, and the prices are quite reasonable. It's really great! I'd definitely come back if I get the chance.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Le meridien Qingdao hotel. The overall experience exceeded my expectations in every way. The facilities were excellent, and the room was incredibly comfortable—I slept very well throughout my stay.

The breakfast was also a highlight, offering a great variety and quality of food. What made the experience even more special was the outstanding service from the staff. Everyone was friendly and attentive, especially Kyrie, who went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.

Had a fantastic experience at the Le Méridien Qingdao West Coast, and a special shout-out to Levi at the front desk. Check-in was quick and professional, and Levi was so gentle and patient. He proactively introduced the hotel facilities and suggested nearby attractions, and even thoughtfully helped me coordinate to get a room type I was happy with. Levi was attentive, thoughtful, and always willing to help, quickly resolving any issues, which made me feel very much at ease. The service was both professional and genuine. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Qingdao, highly recommended!
