You can spot the hotel's sign right after leaving the airport, and it's just a short 300-500 meter walk there. Even though it was hot, there's no need for a taxi.

The hotel itself is very new and boasts a huge swimming pool. For an airport hotel, it's incredibly well-equipped, and they have an abundance of staff who even help carry your luggage to your room. At this price, it's really great value for money.

It's about a 30-40 RMB taxi ride to some of the larger shopping malls with dining options, which is quite convenient. There are also shuttle options available; you can ask the staff at the front desk for a schedule and booking details.

Lovely stay yet again. However, on arrival we couldn’t have a drink or anything from the main buffet, just the complimentary one on floor one where the breakfast was not great at all. Even though there was only 20 mins left and all that buffet food would have been wasted- sounds bizarre to me but the manager wouldn’t budge. Later another manager apologised to me about it when I told her. It was my cousins birthday and she simply wanted a coffee and some fruit. Not great when I recommended to stay here. Otherwise was good and bbq night on Fridays is Amazing which we paid for. Lovely amenities but service to work on if want to be in as high regard as Jumeirah and like hotels. Walk from sun bed to beach is long but beach is nice. They will not upgrade you so pay for sea view.

Good hotel with all amenities, large area for walking, several swimming pools.  Only you can’t swim in the sea, the water is very dirty.  We went by car to another place by the sea.  The receptionists are polite, the food in the restaurants is delicious but the prices are expensive

The family suite is perfect for larger groups; it's a one-bedroom apartment with an extra bed in the living room, which is incredibly convenient for families with two children these days. Even when the hotel was fully booked, you did your best to arrange a room for us. Waking up to the sunrise and watching planes from the room was anything but boring. Shandong girls are truly direct and straightforward. This hotel is really the best choice for the airport, though it's a bit of a walk. Overall, it's very thoughtfully run. This trip to Qingdao gave me a firsthand impression of the people here; at least in the service industry, almost everyone is straightforward, warm, and accommodating. Aside from Shandong Airlines, it seems all the people of Shandong are just as hospitable! Thanks for taking care of us.

It is the first time in the 7 years in China that I have received such excellent service and warm treatment at Le Meridien. Cindy and Luna and the young concierge know how to take care of guests. Cindy and Luna made arrangements for my wife who was arriving late without me saying a word. They also automatically gave us a room upgrade and welcomed up to Marriot Bonvoy rewards program. Connected with us on instant messaging for easy communication during our stay. Ms Liu slipped me some Latte vouchers. Breakfast was yummy. Le Meridien West Coast has every amenity. Although the building of the hotel itself is considerably nice and new, the service really needs improvement. Almost all staffs were distant and did not give out a five star hotel kind of services. Birthday arrangement was honored, thank you to the team. The pool was very nice and the activities were varied. Please retrain the staffs to reach the quality of a 5-star hotel

Overall, it was quite good. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are very well-maintained and clean. The hotel staff were excellent; every time we encountered them, they greeted us warmly with a smile. The restaurant staff were equally responsive and accommodating. The pool was right below our room, with the beach just beyond it. Although it's a bit smaller than the Katathani where I stayed last year, it was still sufficient for a good time. The only potential downside was the somewhat secluded location. Getting to a 7-Eleven required a 2km taxi ride, and there was only one restaurant right outside the hotel. Visiting the night market also required a taxi, and despite being only three kilometers away, overall transportation wasn't very convenient.
