A great location only 2 minutes' walk from JR Obihiro station! Great access for both business and sightseeing!
"Access was good near the station and it was very convenient to move.
However, it was a little disappointing that the VOD service was not available during maintenance and there was no particular explanation.
Also, because it was a room next to the elevator, there were occasional scenes where the sound around me was worried."

CCenxincenyiI used a five-day pass for my trip to Shiretoko Five Lakes, Abashiri, and Kushiro-Obihiro in Hokkaido. Obihiro is just over a two-hour drive from Sapporo, offering easy access to Kushiro Marsh and convenient transportation to Sapporo and Noboribetsu. The convenience of a single-person stay was the key reason I chose Obihiro. One minor complaint was the mixed-gender bunk beds on the first floor, and the lack of signage for the restrooms and showers was a major drawback. Breakfast was served in the lobby downstairs, and there were very affordable izakayas nearby. Jr. Obihiro Station is about a 700-meter walk away, and there's a bus to Koufuku Station right in front of the station. I love the Japanese countryside; every spot offers unique scenery and delicious food.

GGuest UserI stayed for three days starting April 28, 2026. It is in a very good location in Obihiro. It is close to Obihiro Station and not far from the city center.
Despite this, you can stay at a very reasonable price. Additionally, Comfort Hotel provides free breakfast to all guests.
I didn't have high expectations, but they offer a more substantial breakfast than I thought.
I think the service is excellent for this price. However, as it is a business hotel, the room sizes are very small.
Also, there are no designated smoking areas inside or outside. If you want to smoke, you have to go to the smoking area at Obihiro Station.
Since it is a business hotel, I wish they would create a separate smoking area, even if it is in a secluded location. This could be an advantage for non-smokers, though.
Although it is a paid service, it is equipped with a convenient above-ground parking lot, making it convenient to use by car.

GGuest UserThe surrounding hotels were very expensive and I was wondering what to do, but then I found one at the last minute for a reasonable price so I made a reservation.
The interior is typical of a Toyoko Inn, but the building is new and clean.
The rice balls at breakfast were freshly made and very delicious.

BBoNya777The hotel is very close to the train station and bus terminal. There are shopping malls and convenience stores nearby, making it very convenient for travel and shopping. Breakfast and free laundry are provided. However, the hotel is a bit old, and there may be traffic noise from the rooms near the road at night.

GGuest UserFirst of all, the hotel is quite small and includes the lobby, the restaurant and the room itself. But more importantly, many things do not make sense. There is only one elevator in use (there is another one in the corner which is not in use), as a result, causing chaos in the rush hour. The public bath is so-called a natural hot springs but that is quite common in that area, it is open to the public so many local people use it. Upon the small restaurant, they also put a lot of unnecessary stuff to make the situation worse, e.g. they put an old engine (those you see in the museum), and the dinner table is just right next to it. In terms of service, the front desk people have very limited English ability but I notice that one of the female staff in the restaurant can speak fluently (she remind me to take out a cup of coffee in English). Honestly, it doesn't make sense.....

LLeoZ LeungHotel Nupka is a lovely hotel situated right in the center of town. The rooms are spacious compared to others in Japan, and they are very clean and comfortable. One notable feature is that it is a bike-friendly hotel; there are hangers available for you to store your bike. I will definitely come back next time if I'm on a bike trip!

GGuest UserThe triple room we booked was spacious and well maintained. Bathroom was huge with an onsen bathtub and we are very pleased with our stay. This is good value for money. Onsite carpark was ¥500 overnight.

Room is so small that it was hard to open two luggage’s at the same time. But the cleanliness is impeccable.
However, the public bath was kind of disgusting, full of black mold. I decided not to dip myself in the mold soup.

SShenwuIt was very clean and comfortable. It's a bit of a walk from the station, so it might be a bit difficult to get to if you have large luggage. The amenities were adequate, and although the facilities were a bit old, I had no complaints. Breakfast was free and very delicious.
