Trains and trolleys are available to make various journeys easy and fun. For your little ones, Legoland, San Diego Zoo as well as the Safari Park are just short drives away. Petco Park, go Padres!! is a 30-45 minute drive and even shorter by train. Del Mar racetrack is just to the South and also hosts the San Diego Fair each summer.
