"The service was excellent, and the staff were very welcoming. Just a heads-up for breakfast: it's served until 10 AM and is 100% Indonesian. If that's not your preference, you'll have to look for food elsewhere. My main disappointment was that the room window didn't open, and there was an unpleasant odor both in the room and in the hallways. I suggest the establishment consider using air diffusers to improve the atmosphere."

"Review: 5-Star Hotel Stay – Mixed Experience. I recently stayed at this 5-star hotel Aug 2025, which, despite its grandeur, is showing its age at nearly a decade old. The property retains an elegant charm, but certain aspects left me with mixed feelings. Room and Cleanliness: The room was impressively spacious, a highlight of the stay, with a bit old decor and ample space to relax. However, the cleanliness was average at best. While the surfaces appeared tidy, there were noticeable signs of wear, and the pervasive smell of cigarette smoke was a major downside. I had specifically requested a non-smoking room through Trip.com and reiterated this during check-in, but was informed that no non-smoking rooms were available. As a gesture, the staff upgraded me to a higher-tier room, which I appreciated, but the cigarette odor was still strong, lingering in both the room and the hotel corridors. This was particularly disappointing for a 5-star property. Service Issue: To address the smoke smell, I called room service to request an air freshener. After waiting 30 minutes with no delivery, I had to call again. The second time, the staff promptly delivered it, which helped slightly, but the experience felt inconsistent with the hotel’s luxury branding. Amenities: On a positive note, the breakfast was exceptional—diverse, mix of local and International cuisine. The swimming pool was another highlight, well-maintained, and a relaxing spot to unwind with an indoor and outdoor scenic view. Overall: While the spacious rooms, fantastic breakfast, and nice pool were highlights, the cigarette smell and inconsistent service detracted from the experience. For a 5-star hotel, I expected better attention to cleanliness and guest requests. I’d recommend this hotel for its amenities but urge management to address the smoking issue and improve service responsiveness to truly meet 5-star standards. Rating: 3.5/5"

"We recently stayed at a hotel in Jakarta for a short getaway. While there were some enjoyable aspects, a few issues did affect the overall experience. The positives: The location is definitely a plus. It’s conveniently close to downtown and many key spots in the city, making it easy to get around whether by car or short walks. The food was excellent. There was an impressive variety of dishes available throughout the day—everything from local Indonesian fare to international comfort food. The breakfast spread in particular stood out, both in quality and variety. The ambience of the breakfast area was also lovely—bright, open, and relaxing. The pool was another highlight: clean, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing in the afternoon or early evening. Where it fell short: The room itself was just okay. It had a strong smell of fresh paint that extended throughout the hallway and into the room, which was unpleasant and hard to ignore. We had requested a room with a view in advance, but were told upon check-in that the hotel was fully booked, so we were assigned a room with no view. Additionally, the bathroom had a noticeable odor that persisted during our stay. Thankfully, we were able to manage it by keeping the exhaust fan running most of the time, but it’s something the hotel should definitely address. Final thoughts: Overall, the hotel has a lot of potential thanks to its food, facilities, and location. But the comfort of the room and attention to maintenance need improvement. With a few changes, it could easily offer a much better guest experience."

"This was my first hotel in Jakarta and I’m so glad I booked it. The staff is so kind and accomodating, they really went above and beyond to meet my requests for an HDMI cord and room service. I got an executive room, and it was spacious, but I kind of expected it to be a little bigger for the price I paid. Their whirlpool and sauna are AMAZING and I definitely recommend anyone that’s visiting to try it. I had a lot of privacy while enjoying their amenities, but the staff made sure to give me the full experience anyway and attended to all my needs. I think there were ongoing renovations when I visited so booking via Grab was a little difficult. Booking their Main Lobby as the pinned location was way easier via Gojek— less cranky drivers that need to reroute this way."

"Located really in the center which walking distance to the Grand Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia and Thamrin City. In a walk distance also, you can find local foods. Value for the price, nothing to complaint except the curtain roll kinda defect. Overall, as solo traveller, good than enough"

"The hotel was excellent for a 5 star landmark hotel it’s everything you expect it to be, all the facilities well maintained but I was very disappointed and upset when the internet didn’t work and the staff failed to help address the issue, they acted as if it was my fault and made no attempt to help me. It was important for me as I had some online meetings to attend in the evening and morning, in the end I had to use my own phone hotspot which is why I can’t rate this stay as perfect. Nevertheless I loved the hotel and would probably stay again if I don’t have work to do."

"The check-in was smooth and fast. The front desk welcomed us with a smile. Room was basic but with an Amazing view! Two choices of view for the bright room given. We chose the one overlooking the city and Senayan stadium. It was the 45th floor and the view was stunning both day and night. Attended a concert at Indonesia Arena. About 18 to 20 minutes walk to the venue. Breakfast spread was good with ample varieties available (both western and local). MRT station is about 5 mins walk and 2 stations to Block M area."

"Its nice hotel with affordable price and good service, although they have to arrange more staffs to incharge during checkin and checkout time. The queline is so crowded for 4th star hotel. Good location since the Millenium mall only few steps from lobby. However, the hotel need to put more concern about the old furniture.. because instead of keep the clasic atmosphere, it will bring the unconvinient feeling to see the furniture seems never had maintenance before. including color of sheet which the white color already turn into grey :("

"Ashley Wahid hasyim never get wrong with this hotel. Location is very strategic near Sarinah mall there are many restaurants there n also near to the big fancy mall in Jakarta, Grand indonesia mall. The hotel is clean, easy to check in n check out , the service is good the staff is friendly and the price is really cheap. The breakfast was ok."
