Cheap Hotels in Sarajevo

"Hotel service was very bad. Rooms were not clean. Although We asked slippers twice, they didnt bring. There was A construction going on nearby. It was so noisy. Absolutely awful experience – avoid at all costs! I’ve stayed in many places before, but this was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. Some of the staff were incredibly rude and couldn’t care less about the guests. They acted like they were doing us a favor just by being there. The bathroom, especially the toilet, was unbelievably cramped and dirty – completely unacceptable. Honestly, this place doesn’t deserve a single star. It was a waste of money and time. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone – even walking past this hotel would ruin your day. Stay away! The only thing I can say positive was location."

"We came early because of the train schedule. The receptionist is very helpful to checked us in early and gave bigger room to us.Location is just behind the sarajevo train station but you need to take cab because of the hill. It has wifi and elevator. They accepted card payment.Easy to carry big luggage. No public transport around but the receptionist always helped us to call taxi"

"The hotel was fantastic; we loved it. The receptionist was very helpful with everything. At the end of our stay, we asked for a taxi, and they helped us with that too. We stayed on the 14th floor, which offers amazing views of the city (not exactly picturesque, but the mountains are amazing 😍). The breakfasts were delicious, with plenty of choice: there were always vegetables, eggs (the omelet was burnt once and tasted awful), pastries, and fresh fruit. The only thing we didn't like was that upon check-in, reception told us breakfast started at 6:00 AM. We had to leave early for an excursion, so we arrived for breakfast just as it opened (6:15 AM). Several dishes were already served, but the coffee machines were turned off (meaning there was no hot water for tea either). A woman came around setting the table, and I asked her if I could at least pour some tea. She completely ignored me, made a disgruntled face, and left. As a result, we were left without breakfast."

"Facilities: Good, the room has a balcony. The swimming pool, spa, and sauna are all excellent. Cleanliness: No issues, everything is quite clean. Environment: There's a large shopping mall nearby, convenient for shopping, and it's very close to the airport. Service: Also good."

"President Hotel has a perfect location，-Just 1-3 minutes’ walk to the Latin Bridge and Old Town， -5 minutes’ walk to the cable car station，10 minutes’ walk to the Yellow Fortress， Transportation costs €20from/to the airport， €12from the main bus terminal， Also, Hotel staff will help call a taxi for you. They are so nice and polite. 5 minutes’ walk to the ，airport bus stop The breakfast offers a good variety of food，The room is clean and spacious，with plenty of space on both sides of the bed—perfect for placing chargers, phones, handbags, etc. The overall room size is generous"

"The hotel is quite close to Baščaršija and public transport stops, and there are shops nearby. I did get lost a couple of times as I wasn't used to the area, and the hill is very steep, which might not suit everyone – I found it tough. The staff at reception were all polite and helpful with all my questions. They even called a taxi for my early check-out, so thank you! The room is small; I even scraped my speaker against the wall when getting out of bed. It could use a cosmetic renovation, but overall, it has a good vibe. The air conditioning works, but the TV and hairdryer don't. In the bathroom, the water pressure is excellent, and there's liquid soap in the dispenser. Out of three breakfasts, I only had one. I went on an excursion once and asked for a packed breakfast in advance, but it wasn't ready in the morning. I didn't bother asking for one when I had an early check-out. The breakfast itself was decent: jam, eggs, vegetables, cold cuts, cheese, olives, cereal, tea, and coffee. There's no kettle in the room, but hot water and cups are always available on the ground floor. Overall, I'm satisfied, thank you. The only real difficulty was climbing the hill."

"My friend and I stayed for two nights in Sarajevo, and this Residence Inn offered excellent value for money. The cleanliness deserves full marks; both the room and common areas were spotless, which made our stay very comfortable. The one-bedroom suite was spacious, and with two single beds plus a sofa bed, it was enough for the four of us. Although the facilities weren't brand new, they were practical and complete. The hotel's location was the most convenient aspect. We could walk to the Old Town and other main attractions, saving us the hassle of taking taxis. There were also two good local restaurants nearby, making it very easy to find food in the evening. What surprised me was seeing quite a few Asian guests here, which suggests it's a popular choice with a good reputation. The overall environment and service were satisfying, making it suitable for both group travels with friends and solo trips. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sarajevo!"

"Small, but clean and cozy rooms with a private shower. It's about a 15-minute walk to the city center, maximum. The owner is very hospitable. And it's inexpensive! In terms of value for money, it's an excellent option."

"I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The breakfast was very good. A special thank you to the staff at the front desk – they responded to all requests instantly. I checked out early in the morning, and they provided a packed lunch. The only minor point is the slightly steep uphill walk after a long day out."

"Incredible hotel with very kind and welcoming staff. Nice and large rooms with an incredible view of the forest, a very unique experience. Would like to extend a thanks to Sanin for making the best hot chocolate I've ever had, and Mladen for serving us in the three times (!!!) we used the downstairs restaurant which had probably the best pizza I've ever had. I never use the restaurant in the hotel but this was seriously exceptional and had plenty of options. I ended up ordering Pizza Trebevic twice on two separate days. The breakfast options were good too. Special thanks also to Mellisa at the front desk who let us check out late because our flight was late in the evening and greeted us with nothing but kindness, and booked us taxis as we needed. The only problem you might have with the hotel is that the location is high up in the mountains. Cab drivers probably won't be very pleased to take you up easily and you will feel guilty that they drove so far for you. The hotel is basically in the middle of nowhere but the hikes around the area make it worth it. On the map it looks like it is not far from the main town but it is really far compared to other options. Go to this hotel if you intend to hike often but just bear in mind that you are high up in the mountains, far away from the old town center"
