"The room has an unbeatable sea view, facing the sea with flowers blooming in spring, and you can also see the misty Mount Etna in the distance. The hotel is halfway up the mountain. It is a bit expensive to take a taxi from the train station to the mountain for 25 euros. Young people without large luggage can try hiking or taking the bus. The uncle at the front desk is very friendly. The sleeping bag left in the room by my companion was immediately delivered. I stayed for two nights. It is suitable for a daze vacation"

"I would say this is the best hotel in Sicily. Everything are also FS standard, the room, BF are good as expect. The view from my room is so nice we can enjoyed the sea at the balcony. Swimming pool and chilling area around cover by D&G so very nice."

"This 120-year-old grand dame of a hotel is filled with character. It’s not shiny and new and WiFi is patchy in the rooms but it is ideally located and has a lovely pool area and gorgeous views."

"The location and the view of the hotel are impeccable and the rooms have unrivaled sea and mountain views. The facilities are actually very good, but the strange bathroom shower head design makes the bath extremely awkward. The hotel is the old grand theatre, and it is the town that continues to go down. The distances are just right. The beach is not good, but the beaches in southern Italy are the same. It is the kind of large-grained sandstone beach, which is very ground. The only thing that I feel dissatisfied is that the Italians are really too playable. The party is still playing music loudly at 12:30 in the evening. It is not a complaint that it is estimated that it will not be closed several times. Parking is also a bit difficult, we all parked in the parking lot lumbi garage about 2 km away, and then take the shuttle bus, convenient."

"We just had the most wonderful stay at La Plage. We arrived and were seen immediately and offered a drink whilst we checked in. We were then given a tour of the hotel and some information on the local area. We were shown to our room which was a sea front bungalow with a hot tub. Just gorgeous! We had the most beautiful view of Isola Bella. The next morning we were awake before the birds for an excursion to Etna (for my birthday), before we left someone appeared at the door with a birthday cake and a candle. A really lovely touch. Upon our return the ladies who cleaned the rooms stopped by whilst I enjoyed a glass of wine in the hot tub to say hello and sang me happy birthday too! The service was impeccable from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff are AMAZING and so attentive. The food is delicious. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work there. Thank you everyone in La Plage for making our stay so perfect. We can’t wait to come back"

"Great experience! Everything was really good. We had a room with terass and a view of the sea. It was stunning. Room was very clean and sheets where changed daily, which was nice when you have two dogs that sneak into bed during the night. Location was great. A short distance walk to the town center with shops and restaurants. The parking service was great. They park the car for you and when you need it they will bring the car in front of the hotel within 15 minutes. It will cost you 20€/ night but it's hassle free. Staff is fantastic. We arrived around 6AM (much earlier than expected), and way too early for the normal check-in time. We were absolutely exhausted after a night of driving and our room wasn't ready. But the staff was kind enough to give us a room to sleep in, and at 11AM we could check-in to our booked room. Free of charge! Breakfast was also great and they do packed breakfast if you leave before breakfast time. The hotel doesn't do laundry, but there is a laundry place 800m away."

"The hotel is very good, although the pool is not big, but the pool has a view pool. The lady at the front desk was very nice and very enthusiastic to help introduce attractions and restaurants. Breakfast is also very good, you can have breakfast facing the sea, the service staff is also very warm. The location of the hotel is very convenient, just in the city, it is very convenient to walk to the ancient city in two steps. If you drive, pay attention to the entrance of the hotel to avoid missing. If you miss it, you need to go around a large circle to come back to the hotel entrance because it is a one-way street. "The location is on the hillside of the ancient city, with the ancient castle in the background. You can see the ancient Greek theater on the top floor, and it is only a 1-minute walk to the central street of the ancient city. The room facilities are modern and generally superior rooms are relatively small and suitable for one person. You can see the sunrise from the balcony room."

"Hotel located right next to the funicular to Taormina. The rooms are simple and slightly dated but perfectly adequate for one night. The hotel has a very nice view of the sea. Free parking is not easy in high season (high traffic area)."

"The hotel is in a great location. It's perched on a cliff, facing the sea and Mount Etna 🌋, and has a pool. It's also within walking distance of town. Parking can be a bit challenging, but experienced drivers shouldn't have any problem. It's perfect for a vacation. We loved it the moment we arrived 😘 and immediately booked an extra night. We still felt it wasn't enough. We'll definitely stay in Taormina and stay at this hotel for a while on our next trip to Sicily."
