"Hotel is just opposite across Abashiri Station. We arrived at 12:25pm in the afternoon, there was a senior staff already waited for us at the ground floor of the Hotel entrance. She was so helpful and brought us to level 1 the hotel reception to care off our luggages. We indeed very grateful as we need to rush off to catch our bus to the Icebreaker cruise. We booked the room with breakfast but unfortunately we did not have time to take our breakfast as we need to rush to catch our train back to Sapporo. It was a pleasant stay in the hotel although the furniture and toilet is old. We have to make cash payment for the room reserved instead of credit card via Trip.com"

"It is a clean and cozy hotel although it looks old externally. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the room is big and bed is comfortable. There are steak & hamburgers restaurant & Sukiya nearby. You can find FoodMaster Basic Kyohoyu Shop and drug store 1 km away, along the Abashiri River, it is enjoyable to walk along the river. Most importantly, it is peaceful and quiet at nighttime where I had good and sound sleep. Highly recommended."

"The location is convenient, quite close to the train station. One thing to note is that you need to be careful which room type you book — only the Western-style rooms come with a private bath and toilet. Luckily, after reading reviews from other travelers, we were able to change our room at check-in. One downside was a misunderstanding about the check-out time. We thought it was 12pm, but when we returned the staff had already opened our room door as check-out was earlier. That was a first for us, and luckily nothing was taken — but something to be mindful of when staying here."

"Recently, I stayed at the Abashiri Royal Hotel for one night during my trip to Eastern Hokkaido. When choosing a hotel in Abashiri City, I placed importance on access from the station and the abundance of hot spring facilities, so I decided to make a reservation at the Royal Hotel, which met my criteria perfectly. As a result, I was very satisfied with the location from the station and the hot spring facilities, but there were some disappointing aspects in terms of the facilities in the rooms, so I would like to share my honest impressions. First, about access. It is very close to JR Abashiri Station, about a 5-minute walk, and is a very convenient location for sightseeing and transportation. You can see the hotel just a short walk from the station, so even travelers who are unfamiliar with the area should be able to get there without getting lost. There are also restaurants and convenience stores scattered around, so you won't have any trouble shopping or eating. In particular, there are several small izakayas around the hotel that serve local Abashiri cuisine, making it the perfect environment for enjoying a night on your trip. When you enter the building, you will be greeted by a classic lobby that retains an old-fashioned atmosphere. The staff at the front desk were very polite and answered all my questions about sightseeing with kindness. The check-in process was smooth, and I headed straight to my room after receiving the key. The room was a standard size for a business hotel, well-cleaned, and the bed was carefully made. However, the only disappointment of this stay was the malfunction of the air conditioner in the room. When I checked in, the room felt a little muggy, and although I turned on the air conditioner, it didn't cool down easily, and even when I changed the temperature setting, the air volume was weak and it seemed like almost no cold air was coming out. At night, I managed to avoid the heat by opening the window a little, but the noise from outside was a bit bothersome, and to be honest, I didn't get a good night's sleep. I thought about contacting the front desk, but since I arrived late, I decided to hold off this time. On the other hand, I was very satisfied with the hot spring facilities. The large public bath on the top floor of the hotel was not that large, but it was clean, and it was said to use local natural hot springs, so my skin felt smooth. The temperature of the water was just right, and it was a great place to relieve the fatigue of a long journey. There is also a sauna, so you can sweat at high temperatures. The flow of traffic between the bath and the water bath is well thought out, and I was glad that there were several chairs prepared. A morning bath was also available, so I was able to leave the next morning feeling refreshed. As for breakfast, I did not use it this time because I stayed with a plan without meals, but according to reviews from other guests, it was a Japanese and Western buffet style using ingredients from Hokkaido, so I would definitely like to stay with breakfast included next time. Overall, I felt that the Abashiri Royal Hotel was close to the station, had a good bathing facility, and was a convenient hotel as a base for sightseeing and business. However, I think there is room for improvement in the facilities in the guest rooms, especially in terms of air conditioning. Depending on the season, this may not be a big problem, but I felt that it would be better if the maintenance was a little more thorough in the summer and hot and humid seasons to make a comfortable stay. The town of Abashiri itself is very attractive, and there are many things to see, such as drift ice sightseeing, the prison museum, and Cape Notoro, so I would definitely use it when I visit again. I hope the air conditioning works properly next time and I look forward to a more comfortable stay."

"1. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Abashiri Station, but considering the nearby restaurants, supermarket, and ice floe boats, it's a great location. 2. The bathroom was clean and nice. They even provided bath salts. 3. The interior was also clean and nice. 4. I understand that tatami mats are difficult to clean, but there's quite a bit of dust between the mats. It would be helpful if you could use a vacuum cleaner with a narrow opening and pay close attention to that area. I was worried that bugs might creep in if I was not careful. 5. It felt like I was experiencing a Japanese-style room, which was nice. Thanks to the great hotel, I had a wonderful trip to Abashiri."

This is a new, clean, comfortable bed & cosy hotel for us. Free parking 🅿️ is 👍🏻 By driving nearby many restaurants & shop too. Will stay again when we back to Abashiri 🤠 We are happy & satisfied for our 3days staying here. Lobby got vending machine, free welcome drink & soup. Also washing & drying machine by coin"
