"We stayed for 4 nights during July and it was a great experience. Paid parking JPY payable upon check in, parking is Aeon Parking and best to drive straight till you park under the bridge. That is the best/closest entry to the hotel. Aeon is right there and hotel lift will get you there without stepping outdoors, great for snowy/rainy weather. You need to get a new parking ticket (QR code) from the front desk everyday to get out, and use it at the payment machine. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, and the water pressure is good. The toilet has lots of functions and auto flush for you. They had a public bath and special mention to the outdoor bath, it stayed nice and hot. Overall a really great hotel, cannot beat the location, and interconnected to a shopping centre and JR train station."

"The location is excellent! Everything I wanted to visit was nearby, plus there are tons of great restaurants and shops in the area. It's also not far from Asahikawa JR station. Choosing this hotel for my first trip to Asahikawa was a smart decision. I'd definitely stay here again next time!"

"I've stayed at countless hotels during my trips to Japan, and even the old and small ones have always felt worth it. This is truly the first one that I genuinely regret. First, the location. On the map, it doesn't seem far from the JR station, but walking there is a real trek. Whether it's summer or winter, with or without luggage, the path itself is fine, but it's just so far and tiring! Second, the service is very inattentive. I booked a triple room, and I've never encountered a hotel that forgot to make up the third bed! Then, this is an old hotel that was acquired, renovated, and reopened. The overall impression is a bit like a botched renovation project – very makeshift, cobbled together, and carelessly done. They only renovated the parts they want you to see, and for the rest, they just put up a wooden board to cover it up. I booked this place specifically because of the Hoshino Resorts name, and I feel a bit deceived! Finally, the breakfast indeed tastes good, but the variety isn't extensive, though you can get full. If you don't book in advance, you can't add it on the day. If you're just going for the breakfast, I mean, where can't you find breakfast?! (The photos are what they want you to see; imagine the unseen parts yourself!)"

"Facilities: Okay Cleanliness: So-so Environment: Okay Service: So-so I spotted the hotel I booked right after crossing one traffic light from Asahikawa Station – it's really close. Across from the hotel is a large Aeon mall, which is super convenient for shopping. On the first floor, there's a big fresh food supermarket, and around 8:30 PM, sushi and other items often go on half-price sale. Right next to the hotel is the liveliest local shopping street with all sorts of restaurants. Because it was a weekend, a double room cost 800 RMB per night. For a more remote area in Hokkaido, that's quite expensive. On weekdays, it would be around 500 RMB, which is more reasonable. This hotel used to be called Eian International Hotel, but two months after booking, I suddenly received a text and email notification saying it had changed to KOKO Hotel. One thing about this hotel that's a bit unreasonable is that they only clean the rooms once every three consecutive nights. You have to leave towels and trash bags outside your door yourself. Plus, starting this April, they've been charging guests a 300 yen accommodation tax. For two people staying three days, that's 1800 yen in accommodation tax. But they charge this fee while also simplifying the cleaning service – it's just speechless. On the plus side, the cleaning staff here are Japanese, unlike in bigger cities where you often find Nepalese, Indian, or Burmese staff."

"Our family really enjoyed our stay, though the bed was a bit small. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. They offered ice cream and probiotic drinks daily, plus free ramen in the evenings. The hotel genuinely cares about its guests with such thoughtful services. The natural hot spring was also very relaxing; we could enjoy the falling snow on our faces while soaking in the courtyard. We'll definitely stay here again next time."

"Right by Asahikawa JR Station, just across the road. The street downstairs is full of restaurants, super convenient. A taxi to Asahikawa Airport is about 5000 yen. The hotel gets really busy during peak hours, and the elevators can be very slow, stopping on every floor. You can skip the breakfast; it's not very good, and there's not much to eat. It costs 2200 yen if you buy it separately. You're better off finding a coffee shop downstairs or grabbing something from a convenience store instead."

"It was convenient since it’s not that far from the station. It was clean and had a great stay for a night. There is also a convenience store nearby so it’s a plus especially if you nees anything or just wanted to buy some necessities."

"Everything was great. Proximity to the Asahikawa station was very useful and helpful, especially with all the snow. The amenities were nice. I especially liked the apple tea. Breakfast was an affordable nice buffet with plenty of options to choose from. Seating was easy to get."

"Hotel Route Inn Grand is a decent hotel that meets basic expectations. The 'Grand' version, being a step up from the regular Route Inn, fulfilled my minimum requirements for accommodation. I've stayed in at least four of them across Hokkaido, and they're consistently neither surprising nor disappointing. That day, I visited Shikisai no Oka in Biei, which was absolutely beautiful."

"We decided on visiting Asahikawa last minute and Art Hotel was the only one that truly fitted what we looked for, the pleasant surprise was how they upgraded our room probably because we did a last minute booking and they gave us the triple room instead so we ended up with a pleasant surprise of extra space to pack our luggage’s! The hotel is super clean and also a convenient stop point to visit outskirts as we stayed in Asahikawa but visited mountains, waterfalls & more! Parking is a little complicated, it is 2 buildings away and under times, not a big issue as u just need to cross the road to get to it, simply pay 1000 Yen a day, they will stamp your carpark ticket everytime you enter and exit. The only troublesome part would be the loading and unloading of luggage otherwise it wasn’t much of an issue for us. The city itself has nothing much but the hotel’s restaurant of western mix Chinese modern dining was really good! It is good enough to laze around the hotel & have your meals settled after a long trip. We would definitely be back for sure!"
