"Besides the separate male and female bathrooms, it's very thoughtful that the female shower rooms have an extra password lock, which makes you feel very secure. I tested them and they were all very clean 👍👍.
The ground floor houses a restaurant, and the reception staff are quite friendly. The room space is a bit small; if you open two 20-inch suitcases, you basically can't walk around. Another slight drawback is that while the hotel has its own parking lot, it still requires an additional fee, which is the same as the parking lot next to the hotel. The main point is that the parking lot close to the hotel is more expensive than those across the street."

"We decided on visiting Asahikawa last minute and Art Hotel was the only one that truly fitted what we looked for, the pleasant surprise was how they upgraded our room probably because we did a last minute booking and they gave us the triple room instead so we ended up with a pleasant surprise of extra space to pack our luggage’s!
The hotel is super clean and also a convenient stop point to visit outskirts as we stayed in Asahikawa but visited mountains, waterfalls & more!
Parking is a little complicated, it is 2 buildings away and under times, not a big issue as u just need to cross the road to get to it, simply pay 1000 Yen a day, they will stamp your carpark ticket everytime you enter and exit. The only troublesome part would be the loading and unloading of luggage otherwise it wasn’t much of an issue for us.
The city itself has nothing much but the hotel’s restaurant of western mix Chinese modern dining was really good! It is good enough to laze around the hotel & have your meals settled after a long trip.
We would definitely be back for sure!"

"We had a fantastic 2-night stay at JR Inn Asahikawa. The location is unbeatable—right next to the station and Aeon Mall, making it a perfect base for our day trips to Furano and Biei.
Parking is convenient via the mall car park (¥800/night). Pay at reception, and they give you a QR code—just remember to scan it at the machine near the mall door before you hop in your car to exit. The staff spoke good English and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay.
Our room had a lovely view, all the amenities we needed (including coin laundry), and we easily visited Asahiyama Zoo from here. Highly recommend—we will definitely be back!"

"I stayed at Y’s Hotel Asahikawa Station during a self-drive trip. One thing to note is that the navigation may direct you to a nearby parking lot, which initially made us think we were at the wrong place. From there, it’s a short walk to the hotel. Parking costs around 1200 yen per night.
The room itself was quite standard — nothing particularly special. We also felt that the price we paid was a bit on the higher side for what was offered.
That said, the location is very convenient. The hotel is right next to the JR station, with AEON, MUJI, and other shops nearby. It’s also easy to get to Asahiyama Zoo from here.
Overall, a practical stay mainly for its location and convenience."

"A good option for solo skiing in Asahikawa. After breakfast, head to the bus station. I personally think walking to the OMO7 bus stop (about 10 minutes) is better, as you can board directly. If that's closer, you can go to the station bus stop (7 minutes), but you'll have to wait for the bus. The advantage is you can leave later, but the disadvantage is that it might be full and you'll have to wait for an extra bus or sit in the aisle.
Free chicken curry rice is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 7 PM.
New towels and toothbrushes are provided daily. Lotion can be picked up in the lobby on the first floor.
Delivery packages (ski equipment, etc.) can be collected.
The room is spacious for one person, and economical for two."

"Great experience! It's about a 6-7 minute walk from the station, and there's a convenience store downstairs. The rooms and facilities are relatively new, and the onsen (hot spring) is quite spacious. Breakfast was delicious. There's also a humidifier provided in the room.
The only minor downside is that the last entry for breakfast is 9 AM, so I ended up wasting my breakfast voucher on the first day 😂"

"Our family really enjoyed our stay, though the bed was a bit small.
The breakfast was plentiful and varied. They offered ice cream and probiotic drinks daily, plus free ramen in the evenings. The hotel genuinely cares about its guests with such thoughtful services.

"The location is great! Right opposite AEON & jr station, and the main shopping street is all within walking distance. There is a huge carpark opposite the hotel too - it costs 800 yen to park overnight. While the room is a little small, and the bed is slightly smaller than the usual queen size bed, we still managed to open two luggages - one 27” and one 25”. Public bath is good too & they have both Indoor & outdoor to choose. Lastly the buffet is quite good!"

GGuest UserDue to high demand, our second night was in a smoking room, and it definitely had a strong odor. However, there was a spray bottle on the wall, and after using it, the air quality improved significantly. The hygiene was very good, and the room had amenities like a kettle and a fridge. Plus, it's very close to Asahikawa Station, which was great.

The interior design of the store is very exquisite, especially the hot spring area, which has an ancient but beautiful feeling. The bathrobe prepared in the room is folded with corners after ironing. It is very ritual to wear to the hot spring. The staff's service attitude is also very good and I feel the intention.

AAnonymous UserIt's about a 15-minute walk from JR, which was a bit tiring with luggage. Luckily, it wasn't raining or snowing. I'd recommend taking a taxi if you have a lot of luggage or people, it'll save you time and effort. The room was quite spacious, with plenty of room to open two 30-inch suitcases. There's a sauna upstairs, but we heard it was a bit stuffy, so we didn't try it. The service was pretty good, and breakfast was decent too.

ZZhouyoujixiaozhouDue to frequent JR cancellations during my arrival, I considered canceling my Asahikawa trip. Despite multiple attempts to communicate with the hotel and the platform, and providing JR's official cancellation notice, the hotel's firm refusal to issue a refund was truly disappointing. The hotel itself is decent; its strengths are its direct visibility from Asahikawa Station and the spacious rooms. There's a more famous hotel across the street, but overall, the hotel's facilities are quite old, and the experience wasn't particularly cozy. It's acceptable as a stopover for exploring the surrounding areas.

There's a hot spring bathhouse on the basement level, which is convenient for showering, and toiletries can be picked up for free in the lobby, which is well-stocked. There's a self-service laundry room on the ground floor; washing and drying are separate, and the dryer isn't very efficient, so plan your laundry time accordingly. The restaurant is on the top floor with a beautiful view, and the breakfast is very rich with daily rotating dishes – they put a lot of effort into it. The location is great, not far from Asahikawa Station, and dining is very convenient with many restaurants to choose from.

GGuest UserWe stayed in a room with a good view of the farmers fields and distant forest, it’s a great place for walks and cycling. There’s a Seicomart convenience store nearby. The house is comfortable and roomy. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. My suggestion for improvement would be to replace the existing soft sagging mattress and not charge guests for usage of towels.

GGuest UserHotel Crescent is one of my favorite hotels in Japan. Very professional and nice staff, even the cleaning people make an effort to manage their noise if they know someone is still sleeping in a room, which is above and beyond. The staff at Crescent kept my luggage for a long time when my return trip got delayed which was a huge relief. The lobby gives such a unique atmosphere, it's at once august and stately, like one of the grand art deco hotels of the past era, but it also has a fun little gift shop area and a cafe, so it feels relaxed. Crescent is just a really friendly place where you don't have to worry about anything. Their website explains their ”Kaizen” philosophy, which now is a famous Japanese management philosophy of continuous improvement in each area. It really shows at this hotel. This is the kind of hotel you end up becoming a better person because the staff is so professional and kind. Thank you for a great stay and for being one of my favorite places in Japan :)

LLeo@HKThis is a traditional, family-run inn that truly excels in hospitality and personal charm. I booked a room with a private bath; it was exceptionally spacious at nearly 40 square meters, and we had the entire floor to ourselves. Our private bath was conveniently located directly on the rooftop, situated at the highest point of the small hill, offering an amazing soaking experience. The family operates their own restaurant, and both breakfast and dinner were delightful. This was our children's favorite hotel of the entire trip, providing fantastic value for money. They even have a nostalgic 90s-era arcade! It's definitely a top choice for travelers on a self-drive trip. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and kind. A huge thank you once again for their wonderful hospitality!

LLow choon hooiLarge twin bedroom. Clean towel set they hangs on the door knob everyday. Housekeeping is every 3 days during our stay for 1 week. Location is great. Walking distance to Aeon Mall, Asahikawa station and konbini. Near to bus stop no22 and no11 to go to kamui ski resort.
Cheapest parking located behind this hotel. Maximum parking fee is yen600.
There’s self check in and self check out machine at the front desk. Great wifi speed.
