This was an unplanned stay; I originally intended to head straight to my next destination, but the rain kept us here. I quickly chose this hotel, and when I called for directions in the pouring rain, they responded promptly, and we found it without a hitch. The two young ladies at the front desk were very patient. The room was spacious, and even with my parents' numerous bags, there was plenty of room. It featured smart home controls throughout and a double vanity. We easily pushed the beds together, and the three adults and one child slept very comfortably. It's not far from Zini and Longjuxiang, but it's better to take a taxi rather than drive, as there's no parking. We stayed near the old town yesterday, but it's definitely more comfortable staying in a residential area like this.

The flower deer is really amazing, and it creates a courtyard in the building. Small courtyards of different styles, private spaces, large and comfortable spaces. Neither child wanted to leave. The facilities are complete and advanced, and the butler Xiao Hao treats us like a family member. The housekeeper on duty every day is also very considerate. I’m sorry that I didn’t remember her name😅 I would like to make a suggestion. The only drawback is the breakfast, which is not worthy of such a good hotel. The restaurant is small and not ready to accommodate so many guests. There are few varieties and the taste is average. If the breakfast could be improved, this hotel would be absolutely perfect but overpriced. I will choose this place again next time I have the opportunity to come to Datong. I hope that the breakfast will be available at that time.

The front desk staff were very helpful and tried their best to accommodate all our requests; they were very enthusiastic. The housekeeping staff were also exceptionally warm and friendly. The location is exceptionally good, very close to the high-speed train station, making travel incredibly convenient. It's about a 30-minute taxi ride to the Yungang Grottoes, and only a ten-minute drive to the Drum Tower and the Southeast Yiyuan Historical and Cultural District. It saves a lot of time and effort getting to all the major attractions, which is a huge relief for tourists. The room is spacious and large, generally clean and tidy, with well-maintained facilities. After a day of sightseeing, it was incredibly relaxing and comfortable to come back to. The hotel breakfast offers a rich variety, with many local Datong specialties that taste great. You can eat your fill before heading out for more sightseeing. The front desk staff are warm and attentive, and check-in was efficient. The surrounding commercial area has complete amenities, making dining and shopping very convenient. Whether you're traveling with family or friends, I highly recommend staying here. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Datong!

My friends from Northeast China came to Datong, Shanxi, for a trip, and we truly felt the warmth of the Datong people throughout our journey. We chose the Orange Hotel Crystal because it's located in a commercial area, making it very convenient to get to all the attractions. We saw reviews praising the breakfast and front desk service, and sure enough, upon arrival, it was all true! Xiao Li at the front desk was warm and enthusiastic, and she was also very pretty. The breakfast was excellent, with prawns, various cakes, and Datong specialties like Knife-Cut Noodles and Lamb Giblet Soup. It was all very good! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Great soundproofing and spacious rooms. The toilet and shower are completely separate, which is a nice touch. The service is excellent and very welcoming. The air conditioning is powerful yet quiet. I'll definitely book this Atour hotel again next time I'm in Datong.

What's more, they proactively and thoroughly introduced me to the must-try local eateries, from authentic street food stalls to unique restaurants, detailing each one so meticulously that I was instantly excited about the culinary adventure ahead. Returning to the thoughtfully arranged room, a cozy atmosphere enveloped me. I brewed a soothing cup of tea, and the rising steam carried a subtle fragrance that gently filled the air. Sitting on the soft, comfortable sofa, I quietly savored the tea, enjoying the sense of peace and relaxation. Outside, there might have been the occasional city buzz, but in this small room, it felt like I was completely cut off from the outside world, leaving only inner tranquility and calm. This stay experience was simply flawless, and I have no hesitation in giving it a full and enthusiastic five-star review.

The hotel is relatively new, and the rooms are spacious and not cramped. The shower water pressure is strong and comfortable. The staff are also very polite and courteous. There's no need to worry about food; there are various restaurants downstairs. During my stay, I encountered the following issues: 1. Due to the off-season, some floors were closed, making upgrades impossible. This wasn't shown on the booking page or mentioned beforehand. 2. I booked a room with breakfast included, but again, due to the off-season, the hotel didn't offer a buffet breakfast; only bread and milk were delivered to the room. This was unacceptable. After complaining to Ctrip, they provided a solution. I understand that offering a buffet during the off-season would increase operating costs, but an à la carte system could be implemented. They could ask guests what they would like for breakfast upon check-in, such as noodles, milk, soy milk, steamed buns, porridge, etc., and prepare accordingly to avoid waste. 3. There was a slight odor in the room. I'm not sure if it's because it's newly opened, but it was barely acceptable. Those sensitive to smells might find it bothersome.
