"The Mingshi Garden Scenic Area is quite large, but the navigation was accurate, so we found it easily. This guesthouse is a converted local villager's house, and there's parking available right at the entrance. However, driving into the village was a bit messy due to ongoing construction at other guesthouses nearby. The infinity pool on the rooftop is definitely the best spot for photos. The bedding and air conditioning in the room were very comfortable. Breakfast offered basic meals, and on the first floor, they also provided complimentary mung bean soup (after 6 PM), peaches, and local lycheu. The room rate of over 700 RMB is close to what you'd pay for a five-star hotel in the city, but staying in late June meant we avoided the peak season prices of July and August. The restaurant on the first floor also serves lunch and dinner, and you can order à la carte. The front desk staff were gentle and soft-spoken. My only slight complaint about this stay was on the first day, there were flies in the room, and the mosquito repellent spray bottle was empty."

"Our courtyard room with a large bathtub and well-equipped amenities wasn't even the best part. The day before we checked in, the front desk called to confirm our arrival time and added us on WeChat. We discovered the hotel offered a variety of activities. From the moment we arrived, there was jelly and plum juice in the lobby, afternoon tea, complimentary fruit and drinks in our room, and sweet soup at night – we were constantly being treated! The next day, we booked a travel photoshoot, made scented sachets, and watched fireworks in the evening. You could easily spend a whole day just enjoying the hotel without any planned activities. We stayed for two nights and still felt like we didn't have enough time. We hope to come back again!"

"The location is great, very close to Blue Hole Cafe and Detian Waterfall. This is one of the guesthouses in town with comprehensive facilities and an elegant environment. The mountain view room is beautiful, spacious, bright, and well-equipped. The hotel pool is excellent, with beautiful views and it's well-maintained and clean. They also have a card room and arcade games, so you won't get bored. Overall, the service was decent. Even with the large crowds during the May Day holiday, things were pretty orderly. The only area for improvement is the food. The hotpot for dinner was a generous portion but the taste was just average, and the breakfast set only offered soy milk and regular milk for drinks. I hope they'll add a coffee option. Everything else was quite good."

We left at 7:00 AM and asked the hotel to prepare some takeout, but they said they didn't have any! A 4-star hotel doesn't offer breakfast takeout service. The next day, breakfast was already served, and the front desk said they had started early. Didn't they call to inform us before starting? We asked several times but received no response!"

The room was well-equipped with disposable items; many hotels provide stiff disposable toothbrushes, but theirs were very soft. The owner had thoughtfully turned on the air conditioning beforehand, worried we might get too hot. You can tell from the many details that the owner put thought into the room. The owner was very welcoming and offered sightseeing suggestions. The freshly cooked noodles for breakfast were unexpectedly delicious. We only ordered one bowl because we were worried we wouldn't like it, and the auntie even double-checked to make sure we weren't full – so considerate! The room was quiet and odor-free, and we had a very comfortable stay. Even the bathroom smelled nice. I was satisfied in every way and highly recommend staying here! Except for the lack of a TV membership, everything else was perfect!"

It would have been incredibly uncomfortable to run the air conditioner without electricity in such hot weather! The breakfast lady was also very welcoming. She said she didn't want breakfast, but she was worried we'd be hungry, so she brought out delicious brown sugar buns, meat buns, and melon. The coffee was also quite good!"

"This resort is super easy to find, right by the main road, yet it's surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The facilities are really comprehensive – they have a restaurant, a pool, a laundry room, a card and chess room, a kids' play area, a coffee and drinks bar, and even a private parking lot with EV charging stations right out front. ❤️ Our room had huge floor-to-ceiling windows, so we could enjoy the scenery right from bed. There's also a private hot tub, perfect for soaking while taking in the natural views. The interior was spotless and everything felt brand new, which made us feel very comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located near Detian Waterfall, Blue Cave Coffee, and Vuna Seclusion, making it great for exploring the area. You can easily plan a fantastic two-day, one-night trip here."

"Even during the off-season, the hotel's occupancy rate was quite high. On weekdays, there are no shows or fireworks, but cycling and rice-planting activities are still available. I participated in the cycling activity; 6-8 AM is the most pleasant time at Mingshi Garden, with gentle sun and a slight breeze. From 9:00-9:30 AM, there's also the 'Cow Million' paddy field parade, where you can feed and interact with the cows. It's hard for me to fully embrace the slow-paced life at Mingshi Garden, so it's great that the hotel can arrange some small activities."
