"I have stayed at this motel a few nights a year for the past decade or so when I come to Mayo to hunt or visit family. While I've always enjoyed the very relaxed atmosphere, the new owners have made some dramatic improvements to the rooms. The motel is clean and well maintained. Everything works just fine and the staff are always friendly and as accommodating as they can possibly be. The other big plus the Mayo Cafe right across the parking lot. Some of the best southern comfort food you can find anywhere. But understand what you're getting. This is a well-kept but older motel dating back from the days before you pulled off the interstate and booked into a Marriot, Hilton or some other national brand hotel. If that's what you're looking for, Lake City is about 30 minutes away. For me, I'll take Cindy's Motel any day of the week."
