The most convenient part was the shuttle bus to Base Camp, which you can catch right outside the hotel – no fuss, which is a lifesaver for anyone dealing with altitude sickness! The owner is super nice; he even invited us to go stargazing with him at night, showing us the best spots and teaching us how to photograph the starry sky. He stayed with us the whole time in the freezing cold – it was so heartwarming! He also shared so many stories about Everest, making us feel like friends. To anyone coming to Everest, I highly recommend this place!"

"[Location] Great! We arrived just after passing the checkpoint. It’s quite a smooth journey to Mount Everest and we don’t have to go to the county town. [Eating] There is something to eat 100 meters away from the hotel. The dumpling restaurant we ate at was owned by a Northeastern man who made the dumplings with his own bread and the braised carp very authentically. [Everest Route] Brother Dorji, the hotel owner, answered all questions about the Everest route. After understanding our itinerary, he also put forward his own suggestions, including but not limited to departure time, ticket status, driving route (Tashi Zongxiang) When you arrive at Gangga Town, you should not turn back) etc. [Others] After giving advice, Brother Duoji also took the initiative to leave his contact information so that we could contact him anytime if we had any questions on the way. It was very considerate."

The newly renovated hotel really gave me an 11-point surprise. The room was clean and tidy, the decoration was high-end and atmospheric, the floor heating was very warm, and there was oxygen supply. There was no discomfort at all in adapting to the high altitude. The front desk lady was very enthusiastic and explained everything to me clearly. There is also a laundry room and the breakfast was great. If I have the opportunity to come on a business trip again next time, I will stay at Shanzhiji again"

"The room wasn't very clean; there was hair on the sheets and hair and water stains on the sink. There was almost no underfloor heating; the only heating was provided by a heater. The oxygen supply system wasn't very effective either. The price wasn't cheap either. The only redeeming feature was the private hot spring bath. Because of the room's cleanliness, I didn't dare use it."
