"The inn is conveniently located near the town of Mendocino and we enjoyed a mini vacation in the area. We had the two bedroom cottage which is really spacious for the three of us. There’s a fully functional kitchen, a huge bathtub. The beds are clean and comfortable."

"Whilst it took around 10 minutes to acclimatise, you will quickly fall in love with this place. Almost like a mini-retreat crossed with staying in a family home. Well appointed rooms, friendly staff, excellent ‘light meal’ box provided each evening to dine in your room or on the terrace/communal dining area with tasty food and complimentary wines. Breakfast equally good and worth waking up for with free tea/coffee and soft drinks on tap all the time. There is a great local supermarket 5 mins away by car which you can use to purchase any supplementary snacks & treats. Well located in Mendocino and not far away from Fort Bragg . One of the nicest stays we had on our 3 week road trip."

"I would like to give AVI a good review, but I cannot. We spent one of the most miserable nights of our lives in this establishment. There is no check in. Our room had a wall heater with a thermostat which we couldn’t make work, but we thought it might come on during the night. Turns out it doesn’t, and we froze. There was no one to help until 9:00 the following morning. Rooms are very small, though clean. There are better places to stay in the area, and I would. Anderson Valley Inn, NEVER AGAIN."
