"Included dinner was great and it was a 4 course meal. Breakfast was also great with unlimited bread. At 4pm onwards, you can use the hot bath. Dinning room and living room have heaters so you won't worry about being cold. Room also has heater that you can set as you like. Fyi, it's the norm in Hakuba to charge extra for that heating, it was 500 yen a day."

"We had a lovely stay at the Happo with our 8 and 11 year-old boys in July. The family room is really well equipped with bunkbeds and has a nice fun vibe. The staff (many Aussies and Kiwis) were extremely helpful. The Club House next door prepared simple but tasty food and was open quite long hours. There is also an Italian restaurant on site but it was closed while we were there. As we were there during summer they were very limited food options with most restaurants around the town closed for the season. The resort has a very modern Onsen that was really nice too. Overall great! Very central. Car essential during summer season. I think during the ski season and you would be fine without because I think the Happo offers free shuttles to the ski lifts etc."

"The accommodation is clean and there is plenty of parking. However, it is suitable for those who drive on foot. There are no pajamas provided. The bath products, hair care products, and nourishing creams are so good that you might want to buy some to take home. There is a coin-operated washing machine with a wide selection of detergents. The digital door is difficult to open, so you have to wait for the right moment. Overall, it is worth it and a good choice for those who love peace and quiet."

"We had such a lovel stay here. We had a Japanese room for 3 persons - tatami mats and comfy, if a bit thin, futons. The room was very spacious with a little sitting area, and a bathroom area that was separated from the main area . Each of the toilet, sink and shower were separate rooms. Other than the spaciousness and the view, highlights were the onsen in the basement - glorious after a day of skiing - and the breakfast buffet, included in the price. The buffet was a mix of western and Japanese food. I should also mention the boot room, which was well organized and clean and bright. And we loved that you removed your boots in the hotel lobby and wore slippers in the entire hotel. Quick walk to Lawsons and to many hotels and shops. Also, very close to the bus stop for Hakuba 47 and just a little farther from the stop for Happo One (both buses are free and run regiularly to and from the hills). I would stay here again. Good value."

"Facilities: The equipment is relatively old, but well maintained; Hygiene: It's OK, but I have a mysophobia, and some corners are still relatively dark after wiping with alcohol for a while; Environment: It should be said that it is good, located in the forest. It is a relatively remote location, but the environment is very good. But it is basically impossible to get a taxi or hotel bus outside, and it takes about 30 minutes to walk to Bafang Hot Spring. "We stayed in the 7bedroom log cabin with our group of 14. Bedrooms were large and cozy with new bathrooms in each. The whole place has been renovated with a big kitchen and communal lounge with heaps of room for a large group. Great location with a 2 minute walk into town, close to restaurants, shuttle bus and convenience store. The Pensione next door who manage the log cabin looked after us so well and are super helpful dropping us to ski lifts, onsens and making reservations for us. Chika is an absolute legend and made our stay amazing. Would recommend this house to any large group and great for multiple families"

Cleanliness: The overall cleanliness was excellent. Environment: Although we didn't visit during the peak snow season, there was already a good amount of snow accumulated upon arrival. It's a great place to enjoy, even if you don't ski. Service: Service, as is common in many Japanese hotels, tends to prioritize guest privacy, so staff aren't overtly enthusiastic or proactive. However, whenever we needed assistance, they were always patient and helpful in their responses."

"Cozy little box. There is no fence around the property. It is located on a busy intersection of two main roads. When you unload your luggage which just under everyone’s eyes. No privacy at all.
