"The hotel is situated close to the airport so makes a very good accommodation for spending a night and being close to both town and the airport in Hilo. The rooms are spacious enough for two and are well decorated despite being a bit dated. It is value for money and would definitely recommend for a short visit to Hilo."

"We had a wonderful stay at Howzit Hostel! 🌺 The hostel is perfectly located right in Hilo and was the ideal starting point for exploring the island. From there, we visited Volcanoes National Park, the stunning Green Sand Beach and Black Sand Beach and even watched the sunrise at Mauna Kea; truly unforgettable experiences! 🌋🌅 We also really enjoyed the breakfast — the pancakes were absolutely delicious! 🥞 The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room clean and very comfortable and we even had a bit of sea view We highly recommend this Hostel to anyone visiting Big Island and would definitely stay there again. Mahalo 🌴"

"The most disappointing accommodation in this trip. I checked in late and it took me a long time to call the receptionist. The room has no air conditioning and the breakfast is not delicious. It is said to have a sea view, but the location is close and the sea cannot be seen in the room. There is no place to have breakfast. As you can see, the appearance of the room looks good in the picture, but from a close look it lacks maintenance and is unpopular. Booked based on ratings, not reliable."
