I thought it was an ordinary rural self-built house. I only knew that it was so good value for money. The Lake View Inn is located opposite the entrance of the Wanlv Lake Tourist Service Center. Getting there from Guangzhou requires a winding, flat, mountain road of about 20 kilometers. Since it's not near the lake, but in the mountains, occupancy isn't as high as it usually is. It's very quiet. The staff was very helpful. The front desk said occupancy is high on weekends and holidays. Since we stayed on a weekday, they even upgraded our two rooms. Overall, it's suitable for group building and family activities. The hotel is spacious and beautiful, located in the mountains. There's an orchard (especially pears), basketball courts, badminton courts, table tennis courts, and hiking trails. The hotel is well designed, with many photogenic spots. There's also a small pool, barbecues, and costumed photographers who can help with photo shoots. The prices are cheaper than at artistic photo studios in Guangzhou. The quiet, peaceful location just outside of town was a nice change of pace, though the lack of nearby food delivery options was mitigated by the hotel owner's gracious offer to prepare a delicious home-cooked meal.
