"Pros: Great location near the harbor with beautiful views, and convenient transportation. The cabinets and kitchenware are fully equipped and very easy to use! However, the bathroom needs some improvement: 1. The shower only has an overhead rain shower, no handheld spray, which is not very convenient to use. 2. There's no clothesline or drying rack on the wall, so there's nowhere to hang towels or washed clothes. 3. The toilet lid doesn't have a soft-close mechanism, so it closes quickly and heavily with a loud bang. 4. It would be great to add a soap dish; otherwise, the soap slides around and gets soggy when left on the sink."

"1. The location is excellent, right by the river. It's convenient for walks, shopping, dining, or taking the tram to the city center. The Casino is also within walking distance. 2. The night view of the Yarra River from the room is beautiful (I recommend booking a river view room; city view rooms can be a bit noisy). 3. The room decor, with its natural wood and green plants, is cozy and elegant. 4. The gym offers great views, and the spa area is comfortable. 5. I didn't make it to breakfast, but my friends who did said it was rich and made-to-order (highly recommended). However, the room service I ordered was a bit disappointing (not recommended). 6. Finally, a big shout-out to Trip's customer service team for their prompt responses and effective communication, and a special thanks to Ms. Shan Yu from 1 Hotel for her assistance. This is definitely my top choice hotel in Melbourne."

"Hotel is located within walking distance from Southern Cross Stn. The reception was warm and friendly. We arrived 1 hour early and he check us in as the room was ready. Room was clean and tidy. There is a Laundry room with a coin washer and a coin dryer. Works well."

"For Chinese travelers, having a hot water kettle is incredibly important. The one-bedroom apartment was very spacious, with plenty of room. The washing machine and dryer were a huge convenience, allowing us to pack lighter. The induction cooktop, oven, cookware, dishes, and dishwasher, combined with the large supermarket nearby, made cooking a joy. Australian beef and lamb are truly delicious! Laundry detergent, dishwasher powder, dishcloths, salt, and pepper were all provided, which was very helpful. The neighborhood is new, quiet, and close to both the beach and tram stops. It's also within the Free Tram Zone. The front desk staff were friendly and always happy to assist. This is an excellent choice for families with children."

"The hotel staff were welcoming and ready to help. The hotel ammenities and location itself were perfect, from the pool there was a magnificent view of the sunset overlooking the city buildings. The charging ports in the room were practically placed, the beds were comfy, and the bathroom was modernly designed and spacious. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm, inviting, clean and modern, making its shared spaces comfortable to relax. Its convenient location allowed access to ”The District” on Docklands with a range of restaurants and shops alongside public transport. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, modern and enjoyable stay in Melbourne."

"Honestly idk why it’s a 5 star hotel. Pretty lobby yes, but the room… is more like a four star hotel. It’s really bad and kind of dirty. The clothes provided are yellow, the slippers too. But the service is great. But this is for sure a four star hotel"

"I have been busy since returning from Australia, but I always remember that I owe the Melbourne Grand Hotel and its enthusiastic and responsible staff a five-point praise! I flew from Perth to Melbourne that day, took the skybus from the airport to the Southern Cross Station, and walked for ten minutes to the hotel early in the morning. I originally planned to store my suitcase and borrow the bathroom to wash and change clothes, and then went to the surrounding breakfast and sightseeing. The night shift was not off work yet, and the cleaning lady had just started work. They saw that I was tired and embarrassed, so they said that the room type I booked had just been checked out, and immediately arranged for cleaning work. I waited for about half an hour and checked in early. After going out and returning to the room, I also received a handwritten welcome message from the duty manager and very delicious chocolates, which was very thoughtful! Very heartwarming! This hotel is only separated from the Southern Cross Station by a road, and then you have to walk more than a hundred meters along the hotel house to the hotel front desk. The Southern Cross Station is close to the hotel. Woolworths is on this side of the hotel, and Coles is on the other side. The surrounding dining and shopping are quite convenient. You can walk to the Yarra River or the city center, and you can take the free tram a little further. The room is loft style, fully equipped with kitchen facilities, and very comfortable. This is my second time in Melbourne. This time I choose a better hotel than the last chain brand five-star hotel. I will stay here again if I have the chance to go to Melbourne in the future."

"The apartment has an excellent view, small bedrooms with tiny bathrooms. Service was not pleasant, Grace was not very responsive, and stopped replying messages after we checked out. The front desk can not provide luggage storage because this is an Airbnb type of rental, and you need to walk 2 blocks to the office where Grace can store the luggage. If you are not looking for any help or service, this is not a bad deal. Otherwise, get a hotel room."

"great location and facilities, but be prepared for significant noise both early in the morning and late at night. Be randomly arranged units in 889 or 883 Collins st. the noise situation seriously affects the stay. There are several construction sites nearby, and work starts around 7 a.m. every day. The drilling and machinery noise is very loud, making it difficult to sleep in. At night, the problem continues as car enthusiasts often race along the nearby roads, and the engine revving can be extremely disruptive."
