"When I was young, I lived in Xiangyang for a year, and from that year on, I, who never used to eat noodles, fell in love with them! I never expected to come back just to see Angela Chang! The concert was electric with thousands of people singing along! Her float performance showed how much she spoils her fans! After the concert, the crowd dispersed quickly, and all the staff did an excellent job! The hotel claims to be the tallest in Xiangyang, and it was indeed comfortable and clean. There were even welcome fruits, truly making me feel the warmth of the Xiangyang people! I left in a hurry this time, but I'll definitely be back! Honestly, the hotel breakfast was quite average, though everything else was excellent, there's still room for improvement. I hope Xiangyang continues to thrive! And Angela Chang too. I thought I might run into her at the hotel, but I missed her. No worries, we'll meet again if it's meant to be."

"I booked a free upgrade, but the hotel reception didn't provide one. When I reminded them, they said it was the platform's problem and they hadn't received the information, so they wouldn't upgrade me. I don't know if it's the platform's or the hotel's issue. Initially, they said they'd apply to the manager to change the upgrade to milk and fruit, but then they said changing it to a child's breakfast would require an application from higher management. A free upgrade is a guest's right, but the receptionist's attitude was as if I were being unreasonable, requiring me to ask for it before they'd change it, and even then, they asked if I wanted more fruit and milk… Does anyone need fruit and milk? It's utterly ridiculous and unprofessional. The customer service at checkout was much better. I only stayed one day and moved to another hotel. I contacted Ctrip but got no response. I hope they take this seriously and address why the hotel isn't receiving detailed booking information to avoid unnecessary trouble. This isn't the first time I've encountered this information asymmetry, and I'm sure I'm not the only one."

TTomasz Kucharski2Overall this very good hotel with nice facilities. However I experience two incidents which downgraded service rank. On the first day in the restaurant person was smoking close to our table - should be separate area for smokers and nonsmokers, no reaction from personel. On the 2nd day when taking short clip of the cook preparing the meal, I was approached by the personel and asked not to record the staff, in other hotels staff is definitely more welcome to guests recording or taking photos. Not here.

The only complaint is the breakfast noodles. It is recommended to change the name and simply call it ”breakfast noodles”.

I spent two nights at Quanji Hotel in Xiangyang, and I left with a mix of impressions some solid wins, one or two quirks, and a sense that this place knows what travelers like me actually want after a long day of sightseeing or meetings.
First impressions
- Exterior and lobby: Modern, clean, and uncluttered. The lobby feels calm, not trying too hard to impress you, which is nice after a long train ride. The check-in process was smooth, with staff who spoke enough English to help, but not so much that you felt talked down to.
- Location: Pretty convenient depending on what you’re here for. It isn’t in the center of Xiangyang’s busiest streets, but you’re within a comfortable walk or short ride to key spots, plus there are eateries nearby that aren’t overhyped tourist traps.
Room and comfort
- The room itself was a solid 4-star vibe: tidy, well-lit, and surprisingly quiet for a hotel in what feels like a busy area. The bed was comfortable—firm enough to support a good night’s sleep but soft enough that you don’t feel like you’re lying on a board.
- Amenities: Decent desk space if you’re traveling for work, reliable Wi-Fi, and a reasonable layout. The bathroom was clean with good water pressure and a practical layout. A few small things felt a touch “budget-first” like standard toiletries and a shower curtain rather than a glass enclosure—but nothing deal-breaking.
- Cleanliness: Overall good. Housekeeping did a thorough job during my stay, and I didn’t notice any telltale corners being overlooked. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable dropping your gear and not worrying about dirt or mess.

The hotel is adjacent to the moat, featuring Jiangnan-style architecture, a courtyard layout, and a warm and beautiful lobby and restaurant.
We were upgraded to a different room for free. The room layout was reasonable, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered views of the ancient city of Xiangyang and the bright moon.
Breakfast included coffee, which was decent. The only thing I didn't like was the paper cups, but that might be something some travelers prefer. Overall, very good value for money.
