The Mehood Hotel (Xinzhou City) provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Mehood Hotel (Xinzhou City) is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Xinzhou. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Xinzhou Railway Station located approximately 4km away and Xinzhou Wutaishan Airport roughly 36km away. This hotel is located near many of Xinzhou's attractions including Xinzhou Jiuyuan Gutaoci Museum, People's Park and Xinzhou Yishan Park. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This Xinzhou hotel offers parking on site. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"Facilities: The hotel's amenities are really good, comparable to an All Seasons hotel, and much better than Hanting or similar chains. Hygiene: Very good, quite clean. Environment: The location is excellent, about 8 kilometers from the ancient city. It has a large parking lot, perfect for self-driving. Taxis are also readily available, making it a great value-for-money option. Service: The front desk staff and cleaning aunties were all very friendly and welcoming. Executive Benefits: We were out sightseeing and didn't get a chance to redeem them. From the pictures, it seems like the coffee is the most worthwhile part."

"Atour is the largest 4-star hotel within Xinzhou Ancient City. It boasts an excellent location, perfect for self-driving travelers, and offers well-maintained and complete facilities. The guest linens are of high quality, and the mattress and pillows are exceptionally comfortable. Both the variety and quality of the breakfast are very good. Suggestions and Comments: 1/ Almost 50% of the hotel rooms are on the ground floor, with windows facing the street. Despite safety warning signs, closing the curtains makes the room too dark, and even with sheer curtains drawn, there's a risk of insecurity and privacy breaches. Would it be possible to apply a 50cm high frosted film from the bottom of the window to remedy this design flaw? It would have been perfect if Venetian blinds were installed between the double-glazed panes, but alas... 2/ Hotel design should prioritize convenience of use > ease of cleaning > aesthetics. If this order is reversed, problems arise. Using white as a base with dark gray lines for murals or artworks is fine, but using it for a tabletop makes it look dirty, always making you want to wipe it down even though it never truly looks clean. The basin faucet handle is also problematic; it feels designed for children and is hard to grip. 3/ The elevator lighting is too dim, and having one wall as a mirror creates a lack of security! Additionally, dim lighting can easily lead to hygiene standards not being met. 4/ The hotel provides guests with a map of the ancient city, but the font is too small. I had to take a photo and zoom in, which then made it blurry. You should try it yourselves. The font size should at least be consistent with that used by Atour hotels in general. 5/ The bacon at breakfast on the first day was so tough it was like chewing on plastic. 6/ The maintenance and cleanliness of the shower room's floor tiles are significantly below the hotel's overall quality, which was quite disappointing. 7/ As the closest 4-star hotel to the 'Dahualiu' (Iron Flower) show in the ancient city, the hotel should be aware of its showtimes, contact information, and cancellation status (performances are stopped in high winds). This information should be provided to guests, perhaps via a notice board in the lobby. I was initially told it started at 8 PM, and then was told to check for cancellations myself via ** (other media). Service needs improvement! An Interlude: On the 17th, while driving out of the underground garage, I had a tire blowout because I had to swerve to avoid two illegally parked electric bicycles. The repair shop initially said that this tire size was hard to find and might take a day. I immediately called the hotel to inform them and indicated that I might need to extend my stay. Afterward, Ms. Shen from the front desk called to express her concern and offered to help contact relevant suppliers if the tire couldn't be found. She also told me to discuss how to resolve the issue with her once I returned to the hotel (by then, the 4S shop had sourced a tire from elsewhere, and I still had plans to visit Foguang Temple and Nanchansi Temple that day). Her call made me feel very warm. Around 7 PM, I returned to the hotel and found the front desk manager, who first told me that the underground parking lot was a public parking lot not managed by the hotel. She then said she had found the person in charge's phone number and told me to contact them myself to resolve the issue. When a guest's property is damaged, the hotel should express sympathy and assist the guest, but I felt she was trying to shirk responsibility. As someone with over 30 years in the hotel industry, from entry-level to executive, I have never allowed myself or my subordinates to give guests the impression of shirking responsibility when dealing with problems. After my insistence, the front desk manager used her phone to contact the parking lot manager for me. On the day of the incident and afterward, I collected multiple pieces of evidence of significant safety hazards in the hotel's underground parking lot. I have since submitted them to Xinzhou 12345, demanding an investigation and accountability for these safety concerns. Atour provides free parking for its guests in a public parking lot, which theoretically involves paying fees to the parking management company. Since Atour is a client of the parking management company, why does Atour not see the problems in the parking lot? Such issues will inevitably impact (and potentially cause losses for) Atour's guests. It's a coincidence that nothing happens, and an inevitability that something will! Safety hazards that I can spot easily, Atour can't?"

"It's worth the money to stay in Dongchengli! Superb! It's clean and just walking distance to the restaurants and tea houses. The staffs are polite, very attentive and helpful. If you're into modern / smart technologies (smart curtain, tv, shower and lightings), yet you want to mix it with traditional Chinese style of inns or villa, then it's the place to stay. I guess it's too modern for me haha, I can feel the energy pressure of staying in a smart room, I get lots of static electricity, not sure if it's because I meditate too. I have an electric/magnetic field meter with me, I was so busy that I forgot to measure the room's field. As in, few fallen hair won't fall off my jacket. Thus, I stay most of the time, outside the room. They have a nice swing and a tea area with free biscuits & tea. I didn't get the chance to play with their full tea set. They have a lovely cute parrot and 2 cats! They provide free disposable toothbrush & toothpaste, hairbrush, slippers and yes, I found disposable towels too, not sure what kind of towel - I didn't open it yet, might try it in airport shower."

"This stay truly exceeded my expectations! The entire hotel was incredibly clean, from the guest rooms to the public areas, everything was spotless, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; whether it was check-in or asking questions, their responses were always prompt and patient, which was really heartwarming. Plus, the hotel facilities are comprehensive, with a well-equipped gym, self-service laundry, and a relaxation area, perfectly meeting the needs of both business and leisure travelers. It offers excellent value for money, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town!"

he hotel is situated at No. C-5, Bar Street within Xinzhou Ancient City. It is a three-minute walk to the intangible cultural heritage iron flower folk performance venue, and close to Xiurong Academy, West Garden and Taishan Temple Food Street. Boasting superior geographical location and convenient transportation, it is ideal for travel and sightseeing. All guest rooms are equipped with brand-name zero-pressure mattresses and high-grade latex pillows, matched with high-count soft cotton bedding and customized duck down quilts to ensure a sound sleep experience. The whole hotel is installed with Xiaodu intelligent voice control system for easy voice control. Intelligent delivery robots are available to bring convenient and interesting service. Selected rooms are equipped with private hot spring pools for guests to enjoy relaxing spa time privately. We provide multi-functional conference halls suitable for all kinds of business events. The self-service laundry room is fully equipped with washing, drying and ironing facilities to bring homelike comfort. The themed cinema rooms are fitted with 4K high-definition projectors to offer immersive viewing experience, creating a warm and comfortable staying atmosphere for all guests.

"The room still smells a little bit newly renovated. It is located on the bar street and it is very noisy. The front desk said that it will be arranged upstairs to make it less noisy, but the music in the bar next to it has been so loud that it makes people feel heartbroken. It has both points. Anyway, when I was lying on the bed, I regretted choosing this hotel. It's not close to the snack street, so you have to walk for a long time to get there. In short, except for those who like to stay up late at night, it's better to avoid lightning. The room facilities are okay, there is an automatic water dispenser, and the bath water is large, but the shower room and toilet are right next to the bed, which doesn't feel good. The so-called minibar snacks are just a pack of snacks."

"I'm writing this detailed review about our stay at Taohuadao (Peach Blossom Island) during the weekend of March 21st. Our family of five visited Xinzhou Ancient City and booked our accommodation there. Taohuadao is conveniently located, just a 10-15 minute drive from Xinzhou West Station, and easy to find. We booked one duplex and one flat-level room. The 'Wenkui' duplex even had a small courtyard. The hot spring tub in the duplex allowed us to open the window while soaking, enjoying the warmth of the water on our bodies and the cool air on our faces – it was absolutely delightful. The hot spring tubs in both rooms were much larger than we expected. We even suggested to the owner that they update their online photos, as the current promotional pictures don't truly convey the size of the tubs. The owners treated every guest like family. Upon our arrival, they provided directions to the ancient city, recommended sightseeing routes, and thoughtfully provided us with bottled water and tissues. When we checked out, they guided us on how to book a taxi and even helped communicate with the driver. Overall, we had a fantastic weekend. The ancient city isn't very large, but the prices are reasonable, and there's an abundance of delicious food. It gives you a really warm and welcoming feeling."

"While the hotel's name is a bit odd, it's a great value. The room was cozy, clean, and fully equipped with smart technology. The only complaint was a strange, sewage-like odor upon entering. We booked two rooms, and the other was fine, so I suggest they check room 17 on the 5th floor (I forgot whether it was 517 or 817). The breakfast was very rich, featuring local snacks and a wide variety of side dishes from the noodle stall. The hotel is very close to Xinzhou Old Restaurant, within a 10-minute walk, where you can try the local cuisine, which is excellent and affordable."

"I went out with my friends and chose the newly opened Atour on the West Station. I didn't expect the stay to be great! The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was very good. Some hotels did not have a cold air system during the formal summer, but the hotel in Atour had it and it was very intimate. Each of the service staff was intimate and thoughtful. At that time, the receptionist Yi Ran An Heze was very good. After that, every staff member was very friendly and smiling during the store. The breakfast during the stay was rich, because the occupancy rate was very high during May 1st, the number of restaurants was relatively large, but the order was very good, the staff turned over the table quickly, and the store manager also did it himself during the period, whether it was the reception or in the restaurant. There is also a shuttle bus to the ancient city. If you want to go to the ancient city, you can also experience it if you don't have a parking space. In short, I am really satisfied with a stay experience."

"This time, I brought my mom to Xinzhou specifically for the hot springs. First of all, the location is excellent; it's very convenient to get a taxi in the old town, and the hotel provides a shuttle service within the old town. We booked a family room, but the receptionist upgraded us to a detached villa. I highly recommend this villa if you're traveling with family. It's very convenient for parents with its upstairs and downstairs layout, and the rooms are incredibly photogenic. If you're particular about hotel photos, this is the place to go. Both the indoor and outdoor hot springs are great for pictures. My mom, who has legs that aren't great, said the pure hot spring water was very soothing. And the service! The service was exceptionally good. The receptionists, Pengpeng, Xiaoxiao, Lailai, and several other staff members whose names I don't remember, were all incredibly helpful. We didn't have to lift a finger with our luggage during our stay. They were available 24/7, and when we left, they even lined up to see us off – it was so incredibly heartwarming! I'll definitely go back to Xinzhou to stay at Anmita again."

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is incredibly popular, and we were lucky to snag a room. The room itself was very spacious. On the day we checked in, it was raining on Mount Wutai, and the mountain views outside our window were shrouded in mist, creating an almost transcendent atmosphere. The hotel manager and two other staff members we encountered were all very charming young men. They kindly helped us with our luggage, carrying it up and down, and also gave us great recommendations for places to visit. Their attention to detail was truly thoughtful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful. When we checked out, they walked us all the way out of the hotel, waving goodbye, and repeatedly cautioned us to drive carefully due to the fog and rain, which we found incredibly touching. If possible, we would definitely love to come back again. Just two minor points for improvement, if I may: firstly, the pillows were a bit too soft, which isn't ideal for someone with neck issues; and secondly, it was quite cold that day, and the heating hadn't been turned on yet, so the toilet seat was a bit chilly.

LLailaiwangwangkanshijieI went to Mount Wutai by chance during the May Day holiday. I checked out many homestays and finally chose Tingshan. I added him on WeChat before I set off, and it was already past eight in the evening when I arrived. No matter what you need or when, the housekeeper Yin Yin will respond to you promptly. Along the way, from dinner time to the need to enter the mountain, the conditions of the journey were explained clearly and concisely, which made people feel at ease. I was even happier when I arrived at my accommodation. The entire homestay was beautiful and quiet, and the staff were very nice and answered any questions I had. We stayed in two room types, each with its own characteristics, but the ”courtyard” room at the back was more comfortable, especially when the temperature suddenly dropped and we turned on the fireplace, drank tea and chatted with our family, and looked at the distant mountains. It was very comfortable! Besides that, the apples in the room are really delicious and sweet! The black tea is also very delicious! After returning home, my father said that they would go next time too. I wish Tingshan gets better and better! See you next time! ❤️

GGuest UserMy stay at Futiandahua Rain Hot Spring Hotel was absolutely fantastic! First off, the location is superb, right inside the ancient city. It's super close to where they do the iron flower show, which, by the way, is an absolute must-see. I'm getting on in years, but watching that show brought tears to my eyes; I was so moved by the performers' dedication and the incredible spectacle they put on. It's clear the hotel owner pays incredible attention to detail. My two girlfriends and I stayed in a triple room, and from the moment we walked into the lobby, we were gushing over the hotel's ambiance, the staff, and the room's decor. Every little detail was thoughtfully done. Even when we were heading out to explore the ancient city, the front desk proactively offered us a pack of tissues to take with us. The room itself was a standalone unit, so it was incredibly quiet. They delivered coffee and afternoon tea daily, and the fruit plate in the room was fresh. There was also a cooler in the lobby with bottled water available for guests. The whole room was smart-enabled with XiaoDu (a smart assistant), and the shower had great water pressure and was very comfortable, with a separate wet and dry area. Oh, one small thing: the trash can in the bathroom was a bit too small; I hope they can improve that. The private hot spring was amazing. After a full day of sightseeing, coming back to soak in the hot spring and chat was just pure bliss.

GGuest UserThe boss is very good, stayed for about 20 days. The first time I lived in the room downstairs, I changed to the room upstairs when I lived. Especially warm, the boss is very good. My brother's feet were broken, but when I returned to Beijing, I was broken. Thanks to the boss's reminder, I must go to the hospital to check it. During the stay, the temples in the core scenic area of Wutai Mountain were almost all worshipped. When returning to the room, the boss will make up the water. It is very convenient to go to the core scenic area from the homestay. If there are Tibetans staying, it will be particularly lively.

TTAN BOON LIANG BERNARDThis is our first time visiting Wutaishan and we stayed here for 5 nights. We came here by a direct bus from Beijing and the hotel picked us from the bus terminal in Wutaishan. The hotel driver was helpful and polite. We were greeted by 2 pleasant front desk ladies upon check in. We received a beads bracket gift and welcome fruit plate . During the first day we had an issue with the air conditioning unit in our room and they changed our room the very next day. The hotel is located just off a busy street with lots of restaurants and shops. There is also a shuttle bus stop just around the corner. There are many famous temples here all within walking distance from the hotel. There is a restaurant in the hotel and the food is delicious and we had a meal served in our room. The lady boss (who we didn’t meet) provided us with information for our trip planning and helped us to book a land tour of the 5 mountains. Lastly we would like to compliment the 2 front desk staff, the 2 cleaning staff and the driver for their enthusiastic attitude and service. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

GGuest UserWholeheartedly recommend this place. It is clean and comfortable, with really modern showers/barhrooms. Additionally - the real highlight - Liu Kaidi couldn’t have been more helpful in helping to organize our trip with us. Amongst other things she: answered all of our questions we had about our hike around Mount Wutai, gave us a route and map, was extremely responsive on WeChat throughout our time in the area. She also allowed us to leave bags during our hike free of charge, helped us book and catch our bus to Taiyuan, arranged our bus to the East Terrace at 3.30am at the start of our hike (waking us up) and gave us a fantastic food recommendation for dinner (even walking us to the restaurant). Our stay would not have even the same without her help and we are so grateful. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if I came to the area.

GGuest UserThis is the first time in my life I've been so angry at a hotel that I was shaking. And it wasn't a guesthouse or a budget hotel, but the Marriott, a five-star hotel in a resort area. Since the most convenient way to get from Beijing to Mount Wutai is by overnight train, I was extremely tired when I arrived at the hotel at 6 AM. When I tried to communicate about early check-in and breakfast, the front desk staff kept arguing with me. Issue 1: **Can Diamond Elite members check in 4 hours early? Answer: No, the earliest is 10 AM, even then. Checking in earlier than that requires an extra charge. But then she said there were no clean rooms available, which contradicts what she just said! And did I ever say I wasn't willing to pay extra? I was just very tired and wanted to rest, is that not allowed? Issue 2: **Do Diamond Elite members get free breakfast? Can I have it now? Answer: No, if you check in today, you can only have it tomorrow. I pressed further, but she ignored me and kept typing. I thought she was consulting with a superior, but after a minute, I realized she just didn't want to deal with me and was giving me the cold shoulder. She never looked at any of my information, nor did she provide any guidance, as if I owed her something. Even if my requests couldn't be met, I would accept it; I was just trying. But can someone with such an attitude really work at a front desk? Later, when I said I would complain about her, she took off her name tag and told me to take a picture, her expression clearly saying, 'Go ahead and complain, I don't care.' However, I must commend the restaurant staff and the front desk staff who handled my check-in later; their attitude was excellent. But I still feel very upset, and my vacation mood was completely ruined. This is also the first time in my life I've given a hotel a bad review.

GGuest UserOt's a small boutique hotel . The room was large and new looking. It had a small living room with comfortable chairs. The bathroom is average size with good hot shower. The location is very good with easy access to restaurants and grocery shops. Be aware that everything concerned with food is just that little bit more expensive than other cities in China. But I guess the cost of hauling everything up to wu tai shan is costly. The hotel is also close to the central bus station. The manger Tong Tian Tian was most helpful. She came to pick us up from the bus station, helped us to book a day tour of the 5 mountain temples. ( which had to be cancelled halfway due to a snowstorm on the mountain tops, where the main temples were. She then helped us to get our partial redunds. And then helped us to book bus tickets for onward travel to Datong. She was really helpful. On our first day she dropped us off at a temple nearly 20 mins away. So top marks for her customer service The hotel is a little short on the normal facilities like gym , small room fridge in the room, a restaurant ( so no breakfast ) We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this hotel
