If cleanliness is important to you, this hotel makes an excellent choice, as our guests consider this to be one of the cleanest hotels in the city. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"There aren't many hotels near Kamakura Station suitable for three people, so after some deliberation, I booked the Metropolitan. The value for money was a bit low, with a very tiny room costing over 1800 yen per night, but I have to say, the location is super convenient. It's just two turns after exiting the JR station. The Muji Diner on the first floor is a huge plus; I ate there twice in two days. Right next to the hotel is a Family Mart convenience store, and across the street, there's a supermarket, a drugstore, and several restaurants – basically everything you could need. The Komachi Street shopping area to the right of the JR station is easily worth three hours of browsing. One place to avoid is a BBQ restaurant on the second floor, to the right across the street; it was the worst meat I've ever had in Japan, so tough it was impossible to chew."

"Had a last-minute change of plans and ended up staying at Sotetsu, and it was surprisingly good! It felt very much like a 'Quanjishangpin' (a Chinese hotel chain known for comfort and value). The room was small but had everything I needed. It was super lucky to even find a room on a weekend, and it was quiet at night. Everything went smoothly."

The Kamakura Prince Hotel provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Kamakura Prince Hotel offers a pleasant stay in Kamakura for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is conveniently located just 800m from Shichirigahama Station and 52km from Haneda Airport. Keeping busy is easy, with Shichirigahamakamome Park, Shofukuji Park and Shonan Beach all nearby. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guests of this Kamakura hotel can make use of the parking facilities. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"The main reason to book this hotel is the magnificent view from the room. It is genuinely breathtaking, and waking up to such a view is an absolute pleasure. Unfortunately, that is where the positive aspects of my short stay at Kamakura Prince Hotel come to an end. The problems began the moment we checked in. We arrived a little after 5 p.m., only to discover that the swimming pool—the second reason I had booked this hotel in the first place—would be closing at 6 p.m. Unsurprisingly, we had no chance to use it that day. The next issue we encountered was the complete lack of even a basic command of English among the front desk staff. And yes, I am perfectly understanding when people do not speak English. However, there is one important exception: hotel employees whose job is to interact directly with international guests. Once we got to our room, it was clear that it had seen better days. The furnishings are beginning to show their age, although the room itself remains perfectly pleasant. And, of course, it is impossible to overlook the spectacular view of the ocean waves. The following morning, we decided to make another attempt at using the swimming pool. However, the staff tried to explain that we needed some sort of tickets to enter the pool—even though access was included in the room rate. This was the first time anyone had mentioned these tickets to us. After about five minutes of confusion, we were eventually allowed in, only to discover that the pool was freezing cold. Unsurprisingly, after swimming a couple of laps, we got out. As a final touch, the hotel also gently reminded guests that slippers were not to be worn around the property and that tattoos should remain covered at all times. While I understand and respect that these are the hotel’s policies, they certainly added to the rather rigid atmosphere of the stay. During check-out, the front desk staff did not ask how our stay had been. Instead, the entire farewell consisted of the remarkably concise: “No extra pay, goodbye.” A little on the dry side."

"This was the most pleasant stay in Kamakura we had! Glad to have an opportunity to write a review. I went to Japan in beginning of November with my younger brother, the weather was warm. We were intended to stay in Kamakura for 2 days (1 day in beginning and 1 day in the end of our trip). A hotel near both to Enoshima and Kotoku-in. The service was incredible. The room was neat and tidy with AC, TV, balcony and matcha tea set, also we could see a sea from the balcony. Hotel has spacious bathroom with mini onsen. The hostess of the hotel was very polite to us. One time we were late to check in, so we called from reception, and she began to apologize politely and walked down from the top floor to give us the keys to our room. We felt a bit awkward) Then she gave us 2 towels for free, when they cost 200 yen, it was nice bonus. Btw every time we checked out, a hostess was giving to us postcards =) We had lots of positive emotions. So, I highly recommend this place to stay in Kamakura."

"The staff were very friendly, and as soon as I arrived at the front desk, I knew I'd made a good choice. They had the Mainichi Shimbun newspaper, and breakfast included dessert, making it feel more like dinner. The Kamakura vegetable salad was beautiful and delicious, and the freshly baked bread was so good I had seconds. However, it's a bit far from the station, so I took a taxi; I wish the hotel offered a pick-up service."

"It is located in small road and by 4pm you cannot drive on that road so best to check in 3pm. The hotel has parking lots chargeable 1,900 yen per entry till next day 1pm. I didnt use the car once parked and mostly walk around komachi street it is like 8 mins walk. So i am unsure if it allows multiple entries of the car park. Check in smooth, 3pm dropped off bags in room. Went exploring. It has coffee machine to use and public onsen. Similar to onyado but this does not have the ice creams or ramen. But as after heavy walking day, dipping in hot pool and relax is awesome. I stayed in double bunk bed and space was huge. Had a bath tub in shower and separate toilet bowl to allow diff ppl using for diff purpose for getting ready. That day early june typhoon was incoming so it was a rainy day. Was able to borrow an umbrella as car parking lot is about 5 mins walk. Also coffee machine is free to use, grab a coffee before leaving dor the day exploring Kamakura. Overall, really nice place to stay and near the station for those not driving."

"Everything was good. The location is right next to the beach and not far from Enoshima Island. However, large towels aren't included. There's a lot of noise from the road, and you can hear the neighbors clearly. The bed creaks, too, haha. Other than that, everything else was fine. It's okay for a one-night stay."

I really like the location that Yuigahama is close. It's just the right size to spend alone, and the amenities are fashionable and substantial. It's nice to be able to drink coffee on the water server. Unfortunately, the bathtub and the washroom are not separate, and when I come to such a place, I still want to relax in the bath, and it is very very disappointing that the bathtub cannot be filled with hot water. I wish I had a public bath nearby. After that, towels and bed sheets were a little damp. As with us, when drying with a drum dryer, it seems to have been dry at that time, but it is not dry enough, and I think it is better to extend the drying time a little more.

It's a little far from the station, but it's close to the sea and has a lot of local feeling. The interior of the historic building can be felt particular. There is a drink bar where you can drink coffee. I became a fan completely. Thank you for your help.

The room is consistent with the picture, very warm, the bedroom has a small balcony, there is a separate living room and kitchen area, the bathtub, washing, bathroom are separated, and the space for two people is enough. Self-check-in and check-out, a few minutes walk from Jiangzhi Electric Yaoyue Station and Jiangzhidao Station. It is recommended to get off at Jiangzhi Island. There are many foods around and there are two large supermarkets. There is a temple nearby, and the tram at the entrance of the temple is very popular. If you don't receive the room door password, you can call the landlord at the door. The landlord's attitude is very nice. Recommended stay.

We got room 202, but unfortunately, the electronic lock was broken, so we had to call the hotel numerous times to find a solution. After about 30 minutes, we finally managed to open the room. The facilities are very complete and everything works normally. There's just no wardrobe, so we stored our clothes in the spa room. The location is very strategic. Near the station, the beach, the bus stop, and the convenience store. Overall, I highly recommend it for those staying in the Enoshima area. ❤️

I didn't want to say anything, but after I left the hotel today, I texted him that I didn't pay for the room, so I wanted to say something. The house is an early local residential house, a two-story wooden house with three rooms above and below, all managed by this samurai buddy. When checking in, a girl came to help introduce the room and precautions. After 9 pm, everyone got off work, leaving only the guests. Last night, there were two young people living downstairs, and the other room was empty. The two young people went out after storing their luggage at 9 o'clock in the morning, and did not come back until after 9 o'clock in the evening when the lights were turned off. They almost couldn't get in. In fact, the door was not locked, but the sliding was stuck. It was cold these two days, and because the sliding windows of the Japanese-style room were not tight, there was air leakage everywhere, and even the two young people downstairs couldn't stand it. I looked at the bathroom shower room and didn't go in again, and I didn't take a shower that night. Of course, it was also related to the cold weather. Breakfast was also very simple. This buddy came over at 8:30 with a backpack and processed it here. Before 9 o'clock in the evening, the people downstairs were very noisy. I was a little sleepy and went to bed early. This guy was dressed like a samurai. His ancestors must have had samurai traditions. He was also good at communication and introduced some samurai customs. I felt that the guy was pretty good and worked hard. I wanted to praise him. Because I saw that he seemed to sell wine here, all of which were opened, and also opened meals. There might also be tour guides, so I had to pay the bill at the end. I thought the platform required 8,500 to check in, so I took the initiative to tell the girl who showed me the room that I had to pay the room fee. She went downstairs and asked the samurai, and then took a receipt to check the amount. I gave him 10,000, and she gave me 1,500 in change. I think he should ask the girl again when he checked in at 4 pm.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days, and I really enjoyed the comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. I was surprised that the owner spoke Korean so well, and it was great to be able to converse with them. They kindly recommended restaurants near the hotel, and you can even drink and hang out with them at night. It seems they really love Korean music! If I ever come to Kamakura again, I'd love to stay here.

This was my first time traveling abroad, my first time traveling alone, and my first time flying alone. The hotel receptionist, Umiya, was Japanese, and we communicated in English just like good friends. In the evenings, the common area was filled with people from all over the world – Filipinos even gave me snacks, and there were Koreans, French, and Argentinians. It felt like a crossroads, forming a big, temporary family. It's also incredibly close to Kamakura Beach, just a short walk away. This is the best hostel I've ever stayed at.
