Myoko Hotels with Wifi

"The hotel itself was nice, but the staff at the ski resort was horrible, the rentals are also not well maintained. The boards are not waxed, which makes it difficult to work with as there are a lot of flat routes which are difficult to avoid (Pony and village road were the flattest slope Ive ever seen in my life, I had to unstrap and walk and the board just wouldn't move). Ski resort staff were unfriendly and the rental staff was the worst, there was a lady there that was cold and rude. The only reason why the rental shop is surviving is probably because the equipments are salomon branded and that there is no other option.  I would visit again but only because the routes are fun, Myoko long run was the best, but I would never want to rent from the shop again. The food was very very good. For breakfast, you could choose from western or Japanese buffet. Western buffet is highly recommended, the omelette was the best ive eaten in my life and there was a diy risotto which was great as well. For dinner, there were 4 options, either buffet, steak, Japanese or shabushabu. All requiring reservations which is tough if you are checking in the evening as some might not be available. Highly recommend the steak, the food was good and the staff were amazing. Japanese was the hardest to get a reservation for but the food was quite underwhelming. The room was clean and ski lockers are also provided but it's tiny and can barely fit 2 boards. But I wish that in the toilet in the common area, you can adjust the tap temperature as the water is freezing cold. Amenities wise, bottled water are provided daily, also, yukata was provided but you can only wear them to the onsen which was extremely troublesome as I had to change multiple times a day.  The hotel provides shuttle bus services to and fro jyoetsumyoko station which was easy to book. The bus drivers were also friendly and helped out with the luggage. In summary, for a 5 stars hotel, it didn't live up to expectations, ski resort and rental staffs were unwilling to help and unfriendly. Also, some of the staffs could not speak Japanese which is puzzling for a hotel in Japan. If not for the amazing snow and slopes I would never come back."

"It's in a great location for skiing, the rooms are spacious, and the food is plentiful and delicious. However, it is a bit disappointing that meal time is limited."

"This chain hotel has hot spring baths. Located at the high-speed intersection. There are many restaurants around. There is also a seafood market. The canteen next to the hotel has a large portion and a large bowl of noodles is enough for two people. The room size is a bit small, but there are everything that should be available, and the price is fairly affordable. The breakfast was good. Parking is free."

"Overall it is excellent, I think they should work on giving options to get to Arai Resort at the lowest possible cost, that way it would be very complete. Once the situation was set out, they collaborated with us on how to get there. greetings"

"The hotel's outlook/renovation is to a point it felt like travel back in the early 80's or in a move set. Even all the details as big as the sofa and as detailed as the mat to put the vase in the room. So if you are looking at an old style japanese place there it is. We booked two rooms for a family of 6 and we love the space-  there is a tatami room and also a living room accross which is perfect to handle skiing items. There are 3 onsens and we tried all. One is big and the other two is small (if you prefer some privacy). Breakfast is nice. If you a looking at a tranditional japanese experience - this is the place. It's a small walking distance (less than 5 mins) to the ski lift at the Akakura Onsen ski area. "

"It was very helpful because it was close to the ski resort and there was a parking lot near the hotel. A large hotel nearby was taken to the １ parking lot. (It takes 15 minutes on foot) Also, the staff were kind and I was able to enjoy a comfortable trip."

"Spacious and comfortable room. The onsen is quite large and well equipped, however the downside is that it has no view. The hotel also has locker room for ski equipment which is very convenient. It takes 10 minutes to travel from the hotel to the Akakura Onsen town and most other ski resorts in the area, driving is recommended but there are also shuttle services."

"The location is really remote, even driving feels far away, there will be an avalanche and ice on the road in winter, be very careful, fortunately, it is the first in Yan Hot Spring District, and then the ground is full of moss, the car will slip, you can borrow rain shoes from the hotel to go up, There is a real sense of the end of the world here. Because the part of the female soup is being renovated, you can take a bottle of drink from the beverage cabinet every day, but the bath time is taken turns with the male soup, and you can't take a bath after midnight. It is not recommended to take a bath the next morning. The homestay has a laundry service, which can be given to the owner of the homestay when you go out in the morning, and will be washed and placed in the room at night. Yujamas are provided. Many ancient skiing equipment is also displayed in the homestay. In addition to some renovated hardware and software facilities, the owner of the hotel is very kind. At night, he also helped us put hot water bags in the quilt. There are many small snacks in the room. When we leave, we even took various snacks as a souvenir for us. We really feel at home."
