Negombo Hotels with Wifi

"Very friendly staff. It was just an OK stay. The room was a bit run down, common areas were very nice though. The ceiling fan was very noisy because it wasn't really mounted well. It did have a nice restaurant and spa facilities. Two pools were great and the clean beach access was the best. Having a gym was a pleasant surprise. There was a block wide power outage due to power line upgrade and I was grateful they had a generator to keep things going for 8+hours of having no power elsewhere. I personally probably would not want to stay here again."

"This is very good place for the single female traveller. It is very quiet because no kids allowed. Just fine being part of the lagoon with the whole bunch of different birds that you are generally see in your country of origin you’re from Europe. I generally don’t eat much of the menu apart from the curries which are superb. They are not many Sri Lankan dishes. The pool is the longest pool in Hotel in Sri Lanka in the hotel was designed by one of Sri Lanka’s most well-known architects. The design of the whole Hotel and the rooms really compelling to move and I come to this hotel again and again. You get quite a good discount if you stay there after a number of days."

"Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the location was excellent with easy access to nearby attractions, and the food was delicious with plenty of variety. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the overall experience enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again."

"We initially booked for one day, but loved the hotel so much that we extended our stay. Everything was excellent – from the reception and check-in to the pool, beach access, and breakfast. Breakfast had a good variety and was served quickly. There are even squirrels hopping around the hotel! The pool is warm and convenient. There are sun loungers around the pool, and the sun shines directly overhead, perfect for tanning. Beautiful sunsets, and a beach nearby with loungers you can use if you order from the cafe, where you can relax and swim. It's close to the airport, making it ideal for a rest before departure or after arrival. The sea in Negombo was the warmest we experienced during our 3-week stay in Sri Lanka."

"A green hotel, very close to the sea, and the view from the room is amazing. 1) Breakfast wasn't very tasty, and the food at the hotel wasn't particularly good. 2) The rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. 3) Parking is available right across from the hotel. 4) You exit the hotel, turn right, and walk along the road where you'll find restaurants, cafes, and shops. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to a good restaurant, which is fine overall; you can enjoy a stroll. 5) There's a volleyball court inside the hotel, and we played a game. Overall, it's good, but the hotel itself isn't new. If you're staying for 2-3 days, it's a great option, but for a week, it's probably better to choose another place."

"After our flight to Colombo airport, we wanted to stay somewhere close to the airport so we could leave early to Sigiriya by private taxi. This hotel was absolutely perfect for that. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and quite new. There is an elevator as well which is convenient. Price quality is extremely good for this hotel."

"The hotel has a good view and is worth living. The breakfast is not good. There is too little content. If you can add some content, it will be much better. The hardware is average. It is also an advantage to be close to the airport."

"Very nice place. Location close to airport and beautiful view. Main street Negombo is just 10min walk. Owner is very friendly and will help with everything. English spoken. It is very clean and spacious. No wheelchair access though. They can arrange lagoon tours"

"This was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category."
