"A place I will definitely return to! Thanks to the staff for the warm welcome! Everything needed for a comfortable stay is here. There are mosquitoes, but only in the evening and only on the veranda. We didn't feel their presence anywhere else on the property. Highly recommend!!!"

"This is my second consecutive year staying at this hotel. Booking a sea view room this time made the experience even better. Our room was conveniently located to the right of the lawn, just a 30-meter walk from the restaurant, which offered direct sea views. The rooms here are incredibly spacious and comfortable; I'll definitely book a full week on my next visit! Breakfast was pretty good, with freshly made noodle soup that was very satisfying. During the off-season, they even offer a 10% dining discount voucher. We could bring our fresh catch back from fishing directly to the restaurant to be cooked for 300 Baht per kilogram. It's a decent price; even though it's 50 Baht more expensive than the walking street, I personally feel Benhard Restaurant offers a much better and cleaner environment."

"El Lipe Beach Resort is, overall, very good. It's a cabin just steps from the beach, and while the interior is a bit dated and could use some maintenance, it's spacious, pleasant, and comfortable. I even had a small porch to sit on. The bed is relatively comfortable, and the shower only has lukewarm water – there's no heater to adjust the temperature. The breakfast is fantastic; you have everything you need to go back for more (fruit, muesli cups, coffee, juices, and then you order from the menu options). The staff are incredibly kind and friendly. The beach is a joy when the tide is high/medium. I definitely would have stayed longer for some relaxing downtime, and I'd come back again."

"The location is great! You can go snorkeling right outside, and it's next to Aileen's with no boats blocking the view. There's a big black dog named Oscar who is very obedient and will even shake hands. The room's facilities aren't the best, especially the shower water temperature which isn't great. I recommend turning on the faucet first and then slowly adjusting the water heater, as the hot water flow is quite weak. You'll need the front desk's help to call a tuk-tuk."

"Absolutely Wonderful Place To Stay! The Staff were so friendly and spoke amazing English for us. Such a homely feel and not overly commercial - they made us feel so welcome and so very helpful. The location is right on the stunning sunrise beach and everything you need. Great food and drinks and a massage place on site. The most amazing massage I’ve had! The breakfast was so lovely each morning and plenty of choice. Easy to walk to walking street and explore sunrise beach. Pattaya beach not far to get to via walking street! Take a taxi boat to Koh Anong for a morning or afternoon. Great snorkelling off the little island in front of the resort which you can access using the complimentary kayaks and snorkelling masks! Lovely gesture as the owner gave me a happy new year gift of a Salissa Bag - so thoughtful 💗 Didn’t want to come home! Would love to stay again! Thank You Team Salissa! 💗💗💗"

The island is probably similar to what others have said. There are few air conditioners. There is no air conditioner in this room, but there is a fan. The fan is not very noisy, which is acceptable. Overall, it is convenient. Bathing water is very convenient."

"I stayed at this hotel based on a friend's recommendation, and it was indeed great. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a swimming pool, and a beautiful beach and coastline are just a short walk away. The room was also very spacious. The only downside is that it's a bit far from the walking street, but the hotel offers a shuttle service to the walking street (about every 15-20 minutes, free of charge). However, they don't provide a return trip. Overall, I highly recommend it; it's definitely worth staying. If you book a two-story accommodation, try to request a second-floor room from the front desk. If you're on the first floor and the people above you aren't quiet, it can be quite troublesome (though generally, it's not often an issue)."

"This hotel is not too far from Pattaya beach, but Google maps will let you down - it says there is no connection. Walk out past the front desk, turn left, and walk to the beach. Fairly convenient, although a bit far from the walking street. There does not seem to be anything near the hotel.  I enjoyed my stay here because the room was neat and newly decorated. The staff seemed nice, although I did not stop for any meals. On the day of my departure, I walked to the ferry boat launch. "

"Welcoming us with a drink and a flannel . We found our hosts to be friendly, polite and helpful. Assisting us with the suitcases up to our room. The room was spacious enough, with a good bed, TV, toilet, shower. The Hotel is right in the heart of Koh Lipe. On Walking Street. Within easy walking distance to Pattaya Beach and Sunrise Beach in a matter of minutes. Full of shops, restaurants, supermarkets and excursion providers. The breakfast has a fairly basic selection compared with the UK. Though enough to sustain us through until Dinner time. We did enjoy a variety of the Fruit Smoothies in particular. Check out was easy and the Hotel arranged a Taxi for our suitcases."

Let me provide an objective overview of my stay. 👍🏻**The Good:** First off, the hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, with every single team member demonstrating professionalism. Their attentive and friendly service truly made us feel happy and valued. The hotel boasts a superb location; its private beach is fronted by reefs and mature trees, offering plenty of shade, which made it pleasantly cool for daytime activities. Every single bungalow provides a stunning sea view! Plus, they offer a complimentary transfer to the pier when it's time to depart. 😮💨**The Not-So-Good:** On the downside, the hotel's facilities are a bit dated. The floorboards in our room creaked noticeably when we walked around. We also found quite a few mosquitoes and other insects in the bungalow, and the shower water pressure was rather low. The breakfast is à la carte, but the food quality was just average. **In Summary:** If you're planning a trip to the island, I'd suggest splitting your stay: two nights near Pattaya Beach (by the pier) and two nights on the Sunrise side. **A Final Clarification:** The hotel does not provide complimentary kayaks. However, there are numerous kayak rental options available right along the beach.

The beach is tucked away at the far end of Sunrise Beach, making it wonderfully secluded from the crowds and the long-tail boats. The food was amazing — everything we tried was delicious! We especially loved that breakfast could either be enjoyed at the restaurant or served right to our room for a more relaxing morning. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and always ready to help. Plus, the resort provides free snorkel gear and kayaks for guests who want to explore the beautiful waters nearby. All in all, it was a superb stay — excellent service, top-notch views, and pure serenity. We loved it to bits and would come back in a heartbeat! 🌴✨

OOctopus RexCastaway is by far the best resort on Koh Lipe. It's quiet and tucked away from the busy walking street. It is perfect for anyone who is looking for a relaxing place to unwind and read a book and just check-out from busy life. A shout out to the Joy and Saul at the dive shop. Most resorts advertise having a dive shop but in reality what they have is an arrangement with a local dive center who pick you up and drop you off. Castaway's dive shop is in the resort and very friendly and professional. If you are a diver go talk to Joy, she's an amazing teacher.

Breakfast was also quite good; it's a great hotel for a vacation. The only downside was some odd service. We couldn't rent kayaks in the afternoon, but in the morning, the waves were too strong to enjoy them. The calm afternoons would have been perfect. Our luggage wasn't delivered to our next hotel on time, and our request for towels through the app was completely ignored.

GGuest UserThe hostel is in a convenient position, right in the walking street. The ground floor is sort of a post office, which makes it kind of chaotic and crowded and sometimes the shoes (that you need to leave outside of the building) are covered by the amount of packages being delivered. One pair of my shoes got taken by someone else (stolen?).  I felt there is really no control of whoever comes up, as the post office is so chaotic that no one checks who comes and goes to the hostel on the upper floors. The common area is not that big and the WiFi is not stable at all. Nevertheless these are things  The showers need some maintainance, some have hangers for clothes, some don’t, some have broken ones. Same for the toilets. The cleaning of the showers and toilet areas was quite under control. I just wish that people with long hair would clean after themselves, because patches of bestie ere to be found on the sink and the showers all the time. The room was relatively small, with 3 bunk beds and 6 small lockers. I recommend earplugs because you never know if the people in your room will snore, and also because the people in the hallway and common area are loud and no one respects the 10pm silence hours.  Good deal for money if you want to explore Ko Lipe on a budget.

GGuest User## Excellent Location First off, considering the island's overall snorkeling quality, convenience, and the most stunning ocean views, Sunrise Beach truly stands out. Other beaches often accumulate some waste due to ocean currents. This hotel is positioned on the far right of Sunrise Beach, directly facing a small island perfect for paddleboarding and snorkeling, which you can even walk to during low tide. Step right out to the pool and beach, and the walking street is just a short stroll away, making it ideal for families, couples, and leisure travelers. The hotel offers complimentary snorkeling gear and kayaks, which makes snorkeling and sightseeing incredibly convenient. Renting these yourself would typically cost around 200 Thai Baht per hour. You can also borrow snorkels and masks, though for hygiene and safety, it's recommended to bring your own snorkel. ## Spacious and Comfortable Rooms The rooms are generously sized. We stayed in a Balinese-style luxury standalone pool villa, and the pool was literally just 10 steps from our door. My boyfriend and I loved swimming right outside our room during the hot, high-tide afternoons, then relaxing with naps and fruit smoothies. In the afternoons, it was incredibly easy to grab a kayak and head out to sea. ## À La Carte Breakfast Breakfast is à la carte, not a buffet. While the variety isn't extensive, the food is fresh, with options like pancake sets, bacon sets, porridge, and fried rice. However, the restaurant boasts a fantastic view. You can leisurely sip coffee, watching the sunrise and the beautifully clear, 'jelly-like' sea slowly transform from murky to transparent as local fishermen begin their day – a truly blissful experience. ## Environment and Facilities The hotel isn't large, but it's charming and well-maintained. Staff service hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, meaning it's essentially a semi-self-service setup. The lush greenery is lovely, and the pool and restaurant views are definite highlights. Overall, the hotel atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing getaway. ## Friendly Service The staff are warm, attentive, and the front desk service is very friendly. Our designated staff member, Pro, was particularly outstanding. From our arrival at the pier to our departure, he handled all our luggage. He also warmly transferred us when we switched hotels mid-stay. He even joked with us that the hotel's tree lizards were Komodo dragons! His warmth and humor were truly heartwarming. ## Suggestions It would be good to improve air conditioning maintenance in some rooms, as it can be quite noisy at night. Also, checking and addressing the issue of mosquito larvae in water troughs outside certain room windows would be appreciated. We stayed for 7 days, averaging 500 RMB per day. We visited during the off-peak season, so the island was indeed very quiet with many shops closed, but we still had a wonderful time. My boyfriend absolutely loved this hotel, finding it relaxing and cozy. He even said he'd rather move back here than stay in a 1000 RMB hotel!

The bungalow was cosy and charming, with a lovely terrace and a hammock that was perfect for relaxing. Of course, there are some mosquitoes, but with repellent, it wasn’t an issue at all. The location is amazing, just steps away from Pattaya Beach, where you can enjoy truly beautiful sunsets. They also offer massages right on site near the beach, and they are absolutely fantastic with professional staff and excellent value for money. All the staff were incredibly friendly and always smiling, which really made our stay special. Guests can enjoy a private deck and bar as well, which is a great extra touch. Highly recommended, especially the massages. After a one hour session, they even treat you to free coconut water. It was a wonderful experience all around.

GGuest UserThe room was simple and quiet, though clothes drying outside the window kept getting blown off. The price was quite cheap for the island, and breakfast was plentiful. Younger children didn't need to pay extra for breakfast coupons, and there were plenty of seats. The hotel is right next to Sunset Beach, about a hundred meters from the pier, and close to the walking street, so the location is excellent. Check-in starts at 3 PM, and there's a 1000 baht deposit. You can start enjoying yourself right away, as there's a slide pool that the kids absolutely loved. Overall, it's a very good value-for-money hotel on the island.
