This lovely resort is tucked away in the well-known scenic spot of Mae Kampong. The owners welcomed us with such incredible warmth; it truly felt like coming home. Praner is an amazing cook. Since there aren’t many restaurants nearby, we had our meals right at the resort, and her homemade Thai dishes completely blew us away. That evening, she took me to the bamboo grove so we could cut fresh bamboo shoots ourselves, then cooked them straight away. Nothing beats that fresh, wonderful flavour! She made soup and curry for us — far more authentic and tastier than most restaurant meals, perfectly suited to my palate. Host Eric even drove us to a nearby hidden lake for a stroll, a breathtaking spot only locals seem to know about. The resort grounds are spacious and filled with lush plants, making it feel like staying deep inside a forest. Our room was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully decorated. The whole place is wonderfully quiet, with only birds and insects to be heard. We were so lucky to have stayed here. Every part of our stay felt perfectly arranged. We would absolutely come back if we get the chance!

10/10 My Impression of Staying at Baan Blue I stayed in a Standard house for 4 nights, from September 9th to 13th. Throughout my stay, I was deeply impressed by the care and service provided by the owner. The house was clean, comfortable, had a great atmosphere, was quiet, private, and came with parking. It's located right by a stream, allowing me to enjoy the sound of flowing water and birdsong from nature, making my vacation full of happiness and relaxation. The owner is incredibly kind and attentive to guests, taking care of us with such warmth, as if we were staying at a friend's house. They provided delicious food, treated us to pizza, and offered tasty snacks to try throughout our stay. Everything was full of thoughtfulness and good intentions. In short, I will definitely come back to stay here again. See you next time! 🩷 Thank you, Baan Blue, for the warm welcome and impressive service, which made this vacation so happy and memorable. We booked this hostel for just 1 night, but it turned out to be such a beautiful night! My good first impression started even before I arrived. I made my booking 3 months in advance, and I messaged the hostel through Facebook to reconfirm my reservation. The admin was very nice and helpful. He helped me check my booking and even recommended and helped me choose a quieter room. On the check-in day, I arrived quite early, around 10–11 AM (I’m not exactly sure because my van schedule had been changed). I just came to check in and wanted to leave my luggage there first, then walk around the area because I knew the normal check-in time. But then something I didn’t expect happened! They allowed me to check in and get my room early. Such a kind thing and I felt so lucky! 🥹❤️ I had been traveling all night by train and had just arrived in Chiang Mai that morning before coming here, so I was really tired. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were so soft that I felt like I was lying on a feather! 🤣☁️ They also have free Wi-Fi, which was a plus! I also ordered Shabu for dinner. It was 399 THB, including pork and vegetables, and it was VERY delicious! Imagine the weather getting cool while you’re enjoying a warm bowl of soup… OMG, it was honestly one of the best vibes I’ve ever experienced. 🥹🍲 The hostel also provides transportation services if you need to go somewhere nearby, which is very convenient. The only sad thing is that I missed breakfast because my alarm didn’t wake me up. 😂 This hostel is very quiet and private, and there were so many things that impressed me during my stay. I honestly can’t write everything here! If you’re planning to visit Mae Kampong, please keep Ing Doi Mae Kampong as one of your options. I really recommend staying here! 💚🌿

A hidden little retreat in the middle of nature. Mii Paa Aii is the kind of place that makes you slow down the moment you arrive. Tucked away among lush green forests, the setting is incredibly peaceful — no busy streets, no city noise, just trees, fresh air and the sounds of nature around you. The wooden cabin has so much character. From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by warm timber, traditional details and large windows that frame the forest like a living painting. Sitting by the window with a cup of coffee, looking out at layers upon layers of green, is honestly one of the highlights of the stay. I especially loved the little details — the bamboo blinds, wooden bathtub, rustic furnishings and the small balcony overlooking the jungle. It feels beautifully simple and authentic rather than overly polished or commercial. But the real attraction is the location. You wake up surrounded by greenery, with the forest practically at your doorstep. It feels secluded and almost like being in your own little world. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect, breathe, slow down and experience the quieter side of Thailand, Mii Paa Aii is absolutely worth staying at. Come for the cabin, stay for the view, and leave wishing you had booked a few more nights.

A little corner of Japan nestled in the dense, green vegetation of northern Thailand. It was our first time staying in a traditional Japanese establishment, and I must say I was very pleased. An experience definitely worth repeating, thanks also to the unique and always helpful staff. Thank you, and see you next time.

ที่พักดีสะดวกสบาย สะอาด ที่นอนดี ห้องน้ำแยกห้องสุขา ห้องอาบน้ำ อาหารเช้าโอเคร เรือนทานข้าวติดกับลำธารบรรยากาศดีมากๆ ในห้องพักมีกระจกบานใหญ่สำหรับคุณผู้หญิงแต่งหน้าแต่งตัวสะดวก แต่อยากให้มีรองเท้าใส่ในบ้านเตรียมไว้ให้ เพราะดึกๆอากาศเย็นเดินแล้วเย็นเท้า ที่ชอบอีกอย่างมีน้ำดื่มทานฟรีให้เป็นสิบขวดและน้ำอัดลมแช่เย็นดีมากๆ มีมาม่าคัพเพื่อหิวทานฟรีเช่นกัน ทางที่พักใส่ใจดีมากๆ พนักงานก็น่ารักดูแลดี ตินิดนึงที่ทำเล ที่พักติดถนนข้ามไปก็เป็นลำธาร แต่ไม่มีที่นั่งเล่นส่วนกลาง ถ้ามีจะดีมากๆเลย

Everything is good except cleanliness. The floor in the room was sticky, there was a lot of dust under the bed, bed linens had a blood spots (thanks it was changed by our request). The balcony floor and cushions were too dusty, we didn't even sit on them. The resort is good and maybe it was not the season, but I think the staff should focus on cleaning first, that's main priority goal for every resort.

A lovely little house near Mae Kampong village. I stayed here for 2 nights and it was a pleasant stay. The room had a loft, with a double bed on each floor. The bathroom with a shower is inside the room. Everything was clean, and the sisters who own this place are very sweet. I slept wonderfully – to the sound of running water (the house is by a mountain stream) in the fresh air. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the high humidity, there were no mosquitoes, and I could sleep with the windows wide open at night. It was an indescribable pleasure! The breakfast was standard – toast, cereal, coffee, fruit. There was also a hot dish – rice soup. The only minor drawback was that the bedding on the second floor smelled of tobacco. As a non-smoker, it was unpleasant, and I chose not to sleep there.

The glamping itself is a sanctuary designed to coexist harmoniously with the natural world. Tucked away from the bustle of daily life, the environment is lush and vibrant. Waking up to the sound of rustling leaves and exotic birdsong was a refreshing change from the usual city noise.  From the moment I arrived, the hotel staff set the tone for the entire experience. Their professionalism was impeccable, but it was their genuine warmth that left a lasting impression.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable, memorable, and enjoyable. The facilities are modern, well-maintained, and clearly cared for, which added greatly to the overall experience.
 While the property is a bit more expensive than some alternatives, we found it to be well worth the cost. The quality of service, accommodations, and unique experiences provided excellent value.
 We are sorry that we couldn't get an elephant morning wake up call. I feel sad for the few people that complain and make life difficult for others and also for the elephants. I think the elephant enjoyed waking up humans. We were delighted to see a pair of Northern Thailand reindeer, which was an unexpected treat.
 We are already looking forward to returning and were genuinely sad to leave. Overall, this was an outstanding experience, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others seeking a unique and memorable stay.
