Shirasagiyu Tawaraya ★★★★
"We really loved our stay here. The staff were very helpful, the facilities were clean and well appointed. The room was large, clean and well maintained with traditional styling. The view of the river and forest was tranquil and the onsen was big and very clean with at least 2-3 hot pools, a cold plunge bath and sauna. The view from the onsen is also really beautiful. The food was also really incredible. Overall the place has a very tranquil and calming vibe. We spent four nights here but wish we could have stayed longer."
Morino Sumika ★★★
"It was luxurious for the price"
Rurikoh ★★★★
"Awesome onsen, breakfast was ok"
Fujiya ★★★★
"There are public hot springs with separate baths for men and women. There are also open-air baths that can be used privately and can be used for free for 50 minutes, which is very good. There are four tatami mats in one room. Our family of four slept on the tatami mats together. It was very happy and warm."
Kaga Katayamazu Onsen Kasuikyo (APA Hotel) ★★★★
"Great hotel. Very peaceful. The onsen experience was nice. The room was very traditional and spacious."
Yamanaka Onsen Kissho Yamanaka ★★★★
"I am very satisfied with Jixiang's service and the environment is good. However, you need to call in advance to check the time of the shuttle bus from Kaga Station to the hotel. It is usually half an hour after the express bus."
Hatori ★★★★
"This is a traditional Japanese hotel with an excellent location and good service. The public bath is open 24 hours, and the rooms are large and comfortable, though the facilities are a bit dated. Overall, it offers great value for money. The WiFi doesn't reach all rooms, and there's no signal at all on the fourth floor, which needs improvement."
Hanatsubaki ★★★★
"The cost performance was great 😀"
Hotel Arrowle ★★★★
"The service was enthusiastic. Suitable for hot spring vacation. Rich breakfast"

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Yamanaka Grand Hotel(Old:Yukai Resort Premium Yamanaka Grand Hotel)
"Nice hotel with great food buffet and a really good onsen. hotel is in walking distance to the Yamanaka town. There are bus stops closer to the hotel as well. It takes about 30mins by public bus to the hotel from Kaga station. Yamanaka onsen town itself is worth exploring."
Yamashiro Onsen Miyabi No Yado Kaga Hyakumangoku
"They upgraded our room, which was spacious and allowed us to relax comfortably. The hot spring bath was also very pleasant and relaxing. It was wonderful to hear the taiko drum performance at night. Of course, we were also satisfied with dinner and breakfast. We would like to go again as a couple next time."
LiVEMAX RESORT KAGAYAMASHIRO
"The hallway smelled of smoke. The restaurant's buffet food was mediocre; the ingredients could be improved. Aside from its good location, free parking, dinner and breakfast included, 24-hour coffee, and free bicycle rentals, it was pretty good."
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Kaga Maruya(Old:Yukai Resort Premium New Maruya Hotel)
"There are many hot springs along Shilong Road, this time I chose Katayama Hot Spring, because there is a fireworks festival and nearby festivals. Fortunately, there is no rain."
Yunoyado Hakusan Shoubutei
"The room and toilet were renovated and clean. The view was average. It was quiet. The outdoor bath was a bit of a hassle."
Miyakowasure no Yado Korogiro
"Lovely Ryokan experience in a beautiful quiet country location directly by the river. We experienced authentic, exceptional hospitality, ate wonderful local food and enjoyed the Onsen bathing in room. Highly recommend this inn for a memorable Japanese experience (and don’t forget to bring google translate if your Japanese is rusty!!)."
Yoshidaya Sannoukaku
"The smell of the bathroom was so bad... The hot spring was nice, but I couldn't sleep because of the bad smell coming from the bathroom. When I looked, it didn't seem to be just our room, but the sewage facilities were poor overall. Since it was a complaint, they couldn't change the room, but they just sprayed a lot of deodorizer. I went to a ryokan with great determination, but I don't think I'll go there again. I'd rather have a 5-star hotel vacation with this money. The dinner was delicious, but it felt average. The breakfast was good! I recommend the breakfast."
Araya Totoan
"Beyond the high price, and the struggle to turn off the lights at night, there are no other complaints."
Yamanakaonsen Ohanami Kyubei
"It’s a hidden gem in Yamanaka Onsen area. Staffs at front desk were all very helpful and friendly. Same as staffs at the restaurant who were the BEST that we have met during our trip this time. They are genuine and amicable, made our stay more enjoyable. The outdoor onsen was good, as well as the little activities for guests to play. Close to the river where we can enjoy the nature as well."
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Yamashitaya
"The room, bath, and food were all very nice, but after taking a bath I put the towel in the used basket, so when I asked the front desk if I could get a towel back they said there would be a charge for it. If that was the case, I wish they had told me when I checked in that there would be an extra charge for the second towel. That was disappointing. Other than that it was good."
Tokigasane
"Room 2/10, spa 2/10, food 9/10, we happy with the dinner and breakfast but room and hotel hallway need to renovate!"
Hoshino Resorts Kai Kaga
"KAI Kaga inherited hundreds of years of hot spring inns and used new modern models to attract tourists in the hope of driving crowds to the hot springs in nearby districts. However, it turns out that the surrounding area is very deserted. Except for KAI Kaga, which is fully booked on weekends, there are almost no crowds. The surrounding shops are either closed or on the way to closing, and the nearby shrines specially marked as tourist attractions are also deserted. The hotel itself, the rooms, the hot springs, the facilities and the food are all average, but it is really not worth the price (it may also be that there are more people on weekends and the price is higher). The high unit price will easily make people look at the small details through a magnifying glass, and they will find that many small areas need to be strengthened. Another drawback is that there is no shuttle service from the station to the hotel (other lower-priced hotels nearby offer that). If you don't happen to pass by and want to take a hot spring bath, it is not recommended to come here specifically. In the end, I didn't give a bad review because the service staff were relatively young and had a good attitude. Xingye has its own set of training for its employees."
Kohan-No-Yado Morimoto
"Great hotel facing the lake. Clean and comfortable room with nice spa."
Kanoya Kourakuen
"This is the timetable for the hotel's free shuttle bus"
Tachibana Shikitei
"Almost everything was in tip top condition including our requests for a vegetarian dunner and breakfast for one of our friends. Perhaps a hostess more fluent in english would have been helpful but anyway she was most gracious, attentive and courteous. The amenities, food and service were really great!"
