Shirasagiyu Tawaraya ★★★★
"Old hotel with excellent maintenance. Located by the river with great view. Shuttle the bus from and to the train station available. Very good breakfast and excellent dinner. Quite a few cute shops in the Neighbourhood."
Hoshino Resorts Kai Kaga ★★★★
"Traditional hot springs, good food, and good evening performances"
Yamanaka Onsen KAJIKASO ★★★★
"I'd love to stay here again!"
Morino Sumika ★★★
"Hotel provide very good service not only in room but also car parking. Room is very big."
Hotel Arrowle ★★★★
"The refrigerator is not cooling well"
Yamanaka Onsen Kagari Kisshotei ★★★
"Kishotei Inn is located in the Yamanaka Onsen Street. There is a hotel shuttle bus from the south exit parking lot of Kaga Onsen JR Station that can pick you up at scheduled times. You need to reserve a time in advance. Just use your email address. The pick-up and drop-off staff are very friendly and the hotel service is better. It is in place, and the period architecture adds to the Japanese style of the hot spring hotel. It has a clean and hygienic environment, rich breakfast and dinner, considerate hot tea and snacks in the lobby, and a beautiful open-air hot spring and scenery near the stream on the first floor. There is also a hotel next to the hotel. There are Hexianxi Trail and Hot Spring Street Town, both of which are refreshing and relaxing hot spring tours. It is highly recommended and I will definitely go there again if I have the opportunity."
Yamanaka Onsen Kissho Yamanaka ★★★★
"In the 2025 cherry blossom season, the first five hotels in Kyoto, Japan and the Hokuriku region were all rated poorly, either dirty or noisy. Finally, there is a hotel with all 5-star reviews. You must make an appointment for the transportation from Kaga Onsen to the hotel at least one day in advance on your own official website or ask Ctrip. I made an appointment with Ctrip two days in advance. I like the customer service. Follow the instructions at the south gate of Kaga Onsen Station to see the hotel's car. The timetable is shown in the last photo. The driver is courteous and considerate. On the way, there will be a brief introduction to the Buddha statue, snow mountain, famous product Mantou Niangniang, etc. It takes 25 minutes to arrive at the hotel. It feels like home. The staff kneels down to serve. Now the process is done quickly. The corner Western-style room I booked is very good to live in. The sun is bright and the size is just right. The hotel is generous and the coffee and tea bar is available 24 hours a day. The quality is excellent. It is so thoughtful. You can choose a Kutani yaki tea cup. The latte is very delicious. The afternoon tea teppanyaki restaurant makes fresh pancakes. At 4 pm, five kinds of sweet cocktails are provided for happy hour. They are prepared by the staff and are delicious. Pudding is provided at 8 pm. There is a geisha performance at 8:45 Yamanaka Festival. A plate of snacks is also delicious in the morning. There is a row of sake for dinner. I didn’t pay attention to whether it is a self-service sake or free. I think this price and quality are above average. Breakfast is also full of sincerity and free sake is provided. The staff in the restaurant are very warm and thoughtful. My room does not have a private bath. When you check in, you will be asked to choose a private bath for 50 minutes. The large bath is also very good. You can also soak in the foot bath when you are free. I really can’t find any fault with this cost performance. I stayed in the expensive hotel next to it, Huazi, the next day. There was nothing except two bottles of water, a bag of coffee and a bag of stick tea. There was a welcome tea, but no other activities or food. Jixiangting is really serious about running a hotel. The only thing is that sometimes there is a faint smell of sewage in the hotel. In addition, there are a lot of Hong Kong tour groups staying there, and they talk very loudly."
Hatori ★★★★
"Traveling solo, I splurged on a Japanese-style room that could probably fit four people. It's an older ryokan, but that didn't really detract from the experience. The only thing was that during the off-season, the in-house restaurant for dinner was closed, so I had to buy food from a convenience store and bring it back. Regarding the service, the shuttle driver was incredibly diligent and responsible, even waiting for me at the station for 2-3 minutes – I'm very grateful for that 🙏. In contrast, the two front desk staff (they were clearly not Japanese, probably Indian or Southeast Asian) were the most unprofessional hotel employees I've ever encountered: in the morning, when I greeted them, there was no reply; later, when I walked in from outside the hotel, they were loudly chatting and laughing. I've been to Japan so many times and stayed at so many hotels, but I've never experienced anything like this before."
Tachibana Shikitei ★★★★
"Kaga-Yamashiro Onsen, Tachibana Shiki-tei. The tranquility and refinement of a traditional ryokan are evident in its service. The cuisine is the kind of quiet, yet unforgettable deliciousness. Five-star recommendation ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This warm and welcoming hotel!"

Yamashiro Onsen Miyabi No Yado Kaga Hyakumangoku
"This hotel met or exceeded every expectation my lovely wife and I had. For our first trip to Japan we wanted to have a true set Japanese meal totally immersed in the culture and this delivered. We didn’t opt for the traditional Japanese style room as was out of our budget but our ‘western’ room was huge, clean, well equipped and even had traditional yakuta for us to wear to dinner and we did! Dinner was beyond OISHI! I dont even know half of what we ate but the beef, which we grilled ourselves, and veggies and various raw fish served was unbelievably delicious. I was served the best pieces of raw tuna Ive had this whole trip! The hotel is like Overlook hotel massive! All the facilities were readily available and clean, including two massage chairs with a view that we took advantage of for an hour completely free. Cannot review the on site onsen as my wife and I are quite covered with tattoos and we weren’t really there for the onsen anyway. We did have the amazing Madonna (yep thats her name) ask management and they advised if we went after 9pm it would be fine. The staff were lovely and very helpful once translations through phone apps were made. Madonna, the young lady who checked us in had great english but seemed to be the only one and this was NOT an issue for us. I only have one slightly negative thing and its just a bit of a Larry David moment… at dinner I ordered a coke and it came in an average size glass filled with ive and when checking out was charged the equivalent of 2£ for it. The meal was already paid in full in advance. This only bothers me because there is a FREE soda fountain in the lobby where you can get FREE coke 24/7 so why charge at the restaurant? I would expect to be charged for alcohol or even juice but this is just me being knit picky. HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!"
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Kaga Maruya(Old:Yukai Resort Premium New Maruya Hotel)
"There are many hot springs along Shilong Road, this time I chose Katayama Hot Spring, because there is a fireworks festival and nearby festivals. Fortunately, there is no rain."
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Yamanaka Grand Hotel(Old:Yukai Resort Premium Yamanaka Grand Hotel)
"I used it on a family trip, but it wasn't very good."
Yoshidaya Sannoukaku
"The food and bath were perfect, but the water in the bathroom in my room didn't drain well, so the front desk staff fixed it first. They dealt with it right away, but I wish they had checked beforehand. It was a very unpleasant experience. Also, I got a cheap plan, so it can't be helped, but there was noticeable black mold on the bathroom floor, and the mat in front of the toilet was noticeably frayed. You could really feel the age of the building. The bath was great."
Hanatsubaki
"Mainly catered for locals but with Chinese speaking staff. Hotel is off site so need a car to travel. Bit old but outdoor onsen is extremely rewarding with river flow. Room is spacious and packed with dhc amenities. Breakfast is simple tho and near to airport Good! Reasonable price! Pity shops all closed."
Araya Totoan
"This year marks the 1,300th anniversary of the hot spring's founding. It was about an hour's drive from Kanazawa City. I parked my car in front of the entrance, but was told the parking lot was a little further away, so I used Vale Parking. The very pleasant and cheerful proprietress greeted me with a courteous welcome. Apparently the building has undergone reconstruction and renovations in the past, and the current building occupies a small plot of land with a first floor entrance, lobby, and three bathrooms, and six floors of guest rooms. The rooms consist of a 12.5-tatami-mat main room and an 8-tatami-mat twin-bedded bedroom. The window in the main room overlooks the moss-covered mountain garden slopes. The guest baths have free-flowing cypress bathtubs, and there are three large bathrooms on the first floor, with alternating timetables for men and women. Both the indoor and outdoor baths had just the right temperature. The dimly lit Karasu-buro bath offers relaxing soaks, alternating between hot and cold baths. Both dinner and breakfast were served at tables and chairs in private rooms on the second floor. The tables were about 2.5 meters tall and made of refreshing straight-grain cypress wood. There were three levels of food, and we had requested the middle course in advance. I'll post the menu below, but to my delight, there was a wide selection, each with its own rich flavor, and we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful Kutani ware tableware. It lived up to our expectations. Those with smaller appetites may not be able to finish their meal. Apparently, snow crab season begins in November, and many customers come for the crab. Since it was September, we were served plenty of hairy crab. We rarely drink alcohol, but the wine list was impressive. Everyone was very attentive. We enjoyed the hot springs before and after breakfast, and relaxed until check-out before leaving the inn. We'd like to return during snow crab season."

"One night's accommodation includes two meals, and the parents' room has an open-air hot spring, making it a great deal!"
Tokigasane
"The hotel is very convenient at the bus stop, the room is very spacious and comfortable, there are several hot springs and the spring water is very hot, there are not many people comfortable, although there are not many tourist attractions in Pianshanjin, but you must come to Kaga Hot Spring to come here to bubble."
Yunokuni Tensyo
"The hotel offers many self-service options, such as hot spring eggs, steamed buns, and snacks. The hot spring water is all sourced from natural springs, which is very relaxing. There's a shuttle service from the station, making transportation convenient. There's a Lawson convenience store nearby. Overall, it's a good hotel."
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Nagayama
"We were on a road trip, and the hotel was right by the lake, with beautiful scenery perfect for relaxing. The public bath was large and quite comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were buffet style, but the menu was simpler compared to other hot spring hotels in Hokkaido."
Fujiya
"Delicious dinner, wonderful room. However, receptionists are unable to speak english, make communication a bit challenging."
Kohan-No-Yado Morimoto
"Very good, satisfied with the stay"
Midori no Yado Banshokaku
"The hot spring water quality is excellent, and the service is among the best of most hot spring hotels. Dinner was also good; the rice was better than in other hot spring hotels, and the restaurant was separate. For the price, it's very attractive."
Hokuriku Yamashiro Onsen Hotel Kikyou
"I had a very relaxing time. The room was clean and the hot springs were very relaxing. Thank you very much."
LiVEMAX RESORT KAGAYAMASHIRO
"I went there with my family the other day. I've been there a few times in the past, but recently the food has been terrible. The tempura was cold. There were only a few dishes, and no sushi. The breakfast menu was half the same as the dinner menu. I asked for more food, but they simply said they didn't have any more. The hot spring was lukewarm, and the open-air bath was just water. This is the worst hot spring inn. I'll never go again."
Ooedo-Onsen-Monogatari Premium Yamashitaya
"Good spread of the buffet.. location is not bad and the amenities are quite alright. It’s mass market so expect a lot of families"
