Hotels near Mangwon-dong, Seoul

This hotel is super comfortable and safe, even for solo travelers. It's also quite clean. The bed, pillows, and duvet in the room were all very comfortable, and the temperature was just right. Plus, it's conveniently located within walking distance to Hongdae.

room was quite dusty, causing some uncomfort for us. Not sure if this hotel have room cleaning, because on the second day we asked for cleaning, the cleaning lady say no cleaning, just change of towels or something. So not quite sure only 2 pillow.. overall quite pricey for this standar

This is officially my go-to accommodation whenever I visit Seoul from now on! I highly recommend the single room. The space is perfectly sized and gets plenty of natural light. The entire place was very clean and comfortable, and it's great to have access to a fridge, water dispenser, and a vanity table. I particularly loved the vanity table because it gets amazing natural light! The best part, hands down, is the location! The subway station is just steps away, there's a bus stop right downstairs, and a 24-hour GS25 convenience store. Plus, right across the street, I found a BBQ place that's open late and perfect for solo diners – that's a huge bonus! Getting to Hongdae is super convenient, whether by walking or taking the bus. Airport bus 6002 stops at Hapjeong Subway Station, and it's less than a 10-minute walk from there to the accommodation. The owners aren't always present at the property, but don't worry, they are very easy to contact via WeChat.

I was very satisfied with the cleanliness and tidiness of the facilities. The heating was warm, and the bathroom was separate from the room, so there was no noise disturbance. The bedding in the bathroom was clean and odor-free. It's perfect for traveling with friends and family, so I plan to stay here again next time I'm looking for accommodations nearby. The room was cozy, perfect for one person and still comfortable for two. It was extremely clean, with a large TV and a mirror that wasn't facing the bed, which I really appreciated. There were no noisy appliances either (many hotels have mini-fridges that hum, but this one was silent and very peaceful). It had a double-door entry system – you take off your shoes at the first door and put on slippers after the second. The soundproofing wasn't great, but it still felt very welcoming. Photos don't do it justice; it's much better in person, I highly recommend it! Downstairs, there's a microwave and two seats, so you can eat and charge your devices. Even though check-in is officially at 10 PM, they allowed me to check in a bit earlier since there was availability. I accidentally left some clothes behind when I left, and the staff kindly kept them safe for me. I then arranged for SF Express to pick them up and send them back home.

I highly recommend this hotel! Here's why: 1. **Convenient Location**: It's less than 1km from Hongdae subway station, easily walkable. There are also many bus stops about 300m away, making it easy to get to many places! 2. **Close to Hongdae's Main Hub**: Right outside, you're in the bustling heart of Hongdae. It's very lively but not noisy, as it's just around a corner. This also has the added benefit of feeling safer. As a solo female traveler, I usually worry about returning late to secluded areas, but here, it's perfectly fine! It's neither loud nor isolated! 3. **Excellent Service!** * **24/7 Snacks**: They offer a wide variety of bread, drinks, and fruits. Drinks include milk, orange juice, apple juice, and soda. There are 6 types of bread, plus cereal and jams. * **Laundry Facilities**: A washing machine and dryer are available and frequently used. * **Great Hairdryer**: The hairdryer is powerful, not one of those weak ones, and feels quite premium. * **Decent Shampoo**: The shampoo was surprisingly good! I expected my hair to feel dry, but it didn't! It was quite smooth afterward, though I did use my own conditioner. * **Separate Dorm Floors**: Female dorms are on the first floor, and male dorms on the second. The first floor has two toilets, two sinks, and three showers, so it never feels crowded and is very clean! 4. **Very Clean**: Both the rooms and common areas are spotless, with no unpleasant odors. This is a big plus! 5. **Luggage Storage**: Luggage storage is available in a separate room near the building entrance, which is very convenient. You can drop off your luggage right after arriving from the airport and pick it up before you leave. (If you have a climate card, you basically don't need to spend extra on transportation.) The only minor drawback is the lack of individual reading lights in each bed, which can be a bit inconvenient.

Had a fantastic stay! The guesthouse was super easy to find and conveniently located near two subway stations, like Hapjeong Station. You check in at the bar on the first floor, and they even offer free luggage storage, which was great. There was a live performance on Friday during my stay, which was a lovely surprise! The rooms have keypads for entry, and the common areas were neat and clean. The beds were also very hygienic, which I really appreciated. Plus, there's a buffet breakfast every morning at a set time. Highly recommend if you're traveling around the Hongdae area!

Upon entering the room, there was a faint smell of smoke. The towels were a bit old, so I'd recommend bringing your own. The bed frame creaked easily. The pillows seemed to be down-filled and were super soft, but for me, they were too flat to sleep comfortably. The soundproofing wasn't great. However, the price was really cheap, and there's an elevator, so it's fair value for money. I chose to stay here instead of Hongdae just to be close to the coffee shop shown in the picture.

Very good accommodation, with a hair dryer, very good bed, warm blanket, kind owner. It just so happened that I went to a concert held nearby, so I chose this place. The transportation is very convenient, walking from the accommodation to the concert is less than ten minutes. Around the accommodation, there are many restaurants, there are also convenience stores. You can walk around there easily. Coming back from the concert at night is not scary because there are always people coming and going in that area. Plus, this place is close to Hapjeong BTS station. It is convenient to take a bus from Incheon Airport. It is very convenient. If I go to Korea again, I want to stay here again.

The hostel is very well kept with very friendly staff that are extremely helpful. I didn’t catch his name but the man that works there helped me carry my luggage up 6 floors since the elevator was broken, I was very grateful for his help! My only complaint is the size of the showers, they are extremely small and hard to shower comfortably in but everything else was wonderful. They do offer a free basic breakfast but I never woke up early enough to take advantage of it. It is a little tricky to find but the location is wonderful considering how close it is to hapjeong station and the main area of hongdae.
