"I initially wanted to book the popular Room Hotel, but couldn't get a reservation, so I chose this one instead (it was much cheaper than the former), and I was unexpectedly very satisfied! The room was very large, and the mountain view room I booked had a balcony directly facing the snow-capped mountains. Sitting on the balcony at night, I not only took pictures of the Holy Trinity Church lit up on the mountaintop, but also captured the sunrise over the golden mountains the next morning! It was definitely the biggest unexpected surprise of this trip!"

Very clean and spacious room. Near to restaurant and Kazbegi town. Awesome view of mountain from our room. The host is friendly and give good information about local transport. We have a pleasant stay in Axien Hotel and I recommended the hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The view from the window was stunning. All the amenities were provided as promised, and everything was in excellent condition. The toiletries were clean and neatly arranged, which made the stay even more comfortable. The apartment is very nice, the hosts are welcoming and unobtrusive, and there's a kitchen so you can grab a bite to eat on site. This is crucial, as dining options are limited and open late, so if you wait for them, you'll miss out on exploring the mountain beauty. There's also a gas heater, which was very useful for us—it was early September, but the cold and heavy rains were so intense that without the heating, we would have frozen. However, I returned from my walk soaking wet. There's a place to dry off and warm up, as the heat starts immediately after turning it on. Keep in mind that the property is located on the outskirts of the village, so you'll have to walk from everywhere, which might be difficult for some. The view is also limited; on a clear day, you can only see a small window of the mountain, as it overlooks the courtyard and the corner of the owner's house, but the entrance is separate. Overall, it's a decent place to stay, but I wouldn't choose it again. There's a leaflet with tour prices inside; they're higher than what you'll get from drivers in the square. There are always a few tourists waiting there, and getting there is no problem, even to hard-to-reach places.
