Overall, it's pretty good. Gaoyou isn't a big city, so it's close to all the attractions. They offer a free breakfast with a decent variety. The only downside is the poor soundproofing; you can hear people showering and flushing the toilet upstairs very clearly.

Let’s talk about shortcomings Facilities: The room and toilet are of two different styles. The toilet is really hard to describe. Hygiene: There are a lot of ants. Although they were dealt with in time, I still have lingering fears.

The location is good next to the Donghu Wetland Park (walking distance) although it's hard getting around if you don't have a car. The place is big, and you get a balcony with your room. It's also quiet. Unfortunately, the day I was leaving, my Didi/taxi driver I got ended up wasting my time for 30min (he kept driving further away from me--I don't know why) and then canceled on me and made me miss my train (I'm sure the hotel staff remember me exploding on the phone with him in the lobby). The hotel was good enough to arrange a ride for me (although I still didn't make the train on time). Luckily, I was able to get another train as I had to be at work at 7am the next morning. Anyway--it's a fine hotel for the money, but I wish transportation from there was a bit more reliable/frequent.

I chose Le Hotel as recommended by Ctrip. I arrived at the hotel after a dinner party with friends at around 9 o'clock. My child was already exhausted. When I got to the room, I found that I had been assigned the wrong room. I had to take my baby and luggage to the first floor to change rooms. The lights in the room were dim, and my husband kept looking for the headlight switch, but found that it was already on. The saddest thing was when I got up in the morning and went to the bathroom, I held my hand against the wall. My little finger was cut deeply by the edge of the wall and bled a lot. Fortunately, it was me who was injured. If the children cut it off, it would be really difficult. Dare to imagine.

The room was spacious, and amenities like the projector and AC were quite new. The inclusion of a clothes drying rack was a thoughtful touch. The shower had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. Since it was a special offer room without a window, I felt a bit disoriented in the morning and lost track of time. The front desk lady provided exceptional service; she was incredibly patient and attentive, even when I asked to change rooms multiple times. I'd definitely recommend the owner give her a commendation, haha. Overall, everything was good, but there were two issues I was quite unhappy with. Firstly, the elevator doesn't go directly to all floors, and when there was a wedding banquet upstairs, the elevator skipped our floor entirely. Secondly, the room's soundproofing was absolutely terrible!!!!! At 2:30 AM, I was woken up by the neighbors watching a TV show and discussing the plot. I could hear everything crystal clear, and it didn't stop until 4 AM. It seemed other guests could hear it too, as someone even knocked on their door. Being utterly exhausted yet forced awake was truly a torment. After only three hours of sleep, I woke up feeling completely lost and out of sorts. 😅

Very clean and hygienic, though a bit old. I would definitely stay here again — an excellent hotel overall.
