"Close to the airport and pet-friendly hotel! The hotel is located in a safe area, about a 15-20 minute drive from Quito airport. The grounds are very large and fenced. The hotel itself is designed in a colonial style. There are several lounge areas, both indoors and outdoors. There's a pool, sauna, Turkish hammam, and billiards. The room was very clean. I was happy that we could stay with our dog without an extra charge! Breakfast was also included in the room rate. For breakfast, there were fresh fruits, yogurts, smoothies, and a standard selection. The staff speaks English and are friendly and helpful with any questions. The atmosphere is very calm and safe."

"It is very close to many attractions. There is a currency exchange point nearby. I would like to remind you that if you have RMB, try to exchange it into US dollars in Thailand. The exchange rate here is much worse. The international status of RMB is really X, it is not as good as ROC."

"What a lovely little gem! We stayed for two nights after visiting the Galapagos Islands, and it was a perfect spot from which to experience Quito. It's right in the heart of the Old Town, and we visited all the highlights, which were all a quick walk away. The room itself was very clean, the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was bright. The hotel's concierge, Hernán, was incredibly helpful and kind, suggesting tour itineraries and giving us restaurant recommendations (and then making reservations for us!). We appreciated his assistance so much, as we only had a day and a half to see the city. A special shout-out regarding the breakfast, which was included in our stay...it's home-cooked and spectacular! Final pro-tip: there's a small shop in the lobby, and it has some lovely Ecuadoran handicrafts there...after checking out local shops, we ended up buying a good chunk of our souvenirs from there. The price and quality were very attractive!"

"The service and care I received from Old town suites Quito is the best that I ever received for all the hotels I have stayed. My flight arrived at Quito in the early morning around 6:40am, I got to the hotel around 7:40am, hotel front desk employee Francisco took my luggages, provided me power cord to charge my phone, and even gave me a delicious breakfast. I felt I have been welcomed into my new home in Quito. The hotel provided milk, yogurt, bread, juice, cheese, eggs, ham, vegetables and fruits for making breakfast yourself or you can tell them ahead of time and they can prepare breakfast for you. I have had amazing experience in this hotel. The hotel location is great and you can walk to old town attractions. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Quito."

"We stayed here recently with our birding tour group but came 2 days early to see more of Quito. Our first room was a nice, but fairly standard, hotel room with a great view over the valley. Our second stay, one week later as we passed through Quito on our way east, was (fortunately for us) in a suite with a kitchen and washer/dryer. That was wonderful since it gave as an opportunity to do laundry before continuing our travels. The hotel is located about 3.5 miles from the Colonial area of Quito (Old Quito). A bit distant if you plan to go by foot but easy enough by taxi. The included breakfast is good, although lacking in variety. About your only choice is in how you'd like your eggs prepared. We ate dinner in the cafe twice with our group, once it was just OK, the second time was very good. Service can be a bit disorganized but friendly enough."

"A very good, brand-new business hotel located directly at the airport. Ideal for onward travel. Everything was excellent. The breakfast buffet was very varied and delicious. The staff was very friendly. We got a good price. Unfortunately, an additional 10% tax was missing, which was not shown during booking."

Illa Experience Hotel

"This is a small boutique hotel whose main focus is your comfort. We were welcomed with a local cocktail and in the evening a Panama hat maker came to demonstrate her craft. Yes, the rooms are comfortable, the food is exceptional but the staff is outstanding. Our group of 16 encountered a very stressful event in which our cruise was cancelled the night before our departure. The staff went out of their way to help us contact the travel agent which took hours to come to a resolution. Knowing we hadn’t eaten dinner they made appetizers and opened the bar. We had to leave at 5:00AM the next morning and they had coffee, juice, toast, etc as well as a to go sandwich. Our stay at the Illa Experience Hotel was truly an amazing experience."
