Scenic Hotels in Parapat

"The hotel is located on a hill with amazing views, and the rooms are quite spacious. However, for a tourist, transportation isn't very convenient. Getting to the hotel from town or the pier by taxi or tuk-tuk costs between 5,000 and 10,000 Indonesian Rupiah. But if you want to go down from the hotel, only the hotel's car is available, and it costs 100,000 Rupiah. I tried walking down, but gave up after a short while; the road is narrow, and there are too many motorbikes, making it feel unsafe. As for service, staff were responsive to questions. However, the check-in process was indeed very slow. Perhaps it's a popular hotel locally, as the front desk was always busy and seemed understaffed. I arrived at 11 AM, went to the restaurant for lunch, and by 2 PM when I returned to the counter, my room still wasn't ready. In the end, I had to leave my bags and go out to explore. I stayed for two nights and overall, it was a good experience, better than some online reviews suggested."

"We arrived after 3:30 PM but only managed to check in around 5:00 PM, which was quite disappointing after a long journey. Upon entering the room, the staff were still sweeping and mopping the floor, indicating that the room was not properly prepared prior to our arrival. This gave a poor first impression and did not meet our expectations for a smooth check-in experience. The view of Lake Toba is beautiful and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. However, the private beach was very dirty and poorly maintained, which was quite disappointing. With such a great natural setting, better upkeep of the beach would greatly improve the overall guest experience. Although the breakfast spread initially appeared to offer a wide variety, the actual options were quite limited. During peak holiday periods, the food was not sufficiently replenished, making it difficult to accommodate the large number of guests. This resulted in a less satisfying dining experience than expected."

"The room was clean and the staff were friendly, so I was able to stay with peace of mind. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere with performances every night. The ship was anchored in front of the hotel and it was a fantastic atmosphere at dusk. The ferry stop to Samosil Island sightseeing is about 5 minutes by minibus (5000Rp). If you don't know how to ride, the staff will help you. There are no shops in the area, so I was able to spend a relaxing time at Parapat."

"Although we have seen some negative reviews we were very happy. Beds and bathroom were fine and the grounds are lovely. We only had breakfast but it was an excellent range. There is no AC but it was ok without it and the shower was warm. The only problem was that the rear window is open and screened so outside noise was intrusive for the light sleepers."

"Actually, this hotel is still in the same group as Darma Agung but the facilities are different. Until this hotel is exited because of the environment, the hotel area is spacious. If you stay here for 2 days, you'll be satisfied just exploring the hotel and its surroundings. The hotel location has a lake that can be used for bathing because it is not deep. 7 minutes from the hotel, there is a****ta port, there is a swimming pool. The view from the room directly faces the lake, you can see the fish in the lake... So it's fun for children. In front of the traditional PSR hotel, you can explore looking for typical Lake Toba clothes. Km take superior room B facing the lake for only IDR. 359,000 ... "The Homestay is okay for short trip. No Hot water, no AC / fan, walk up stair & simple bed & room. Not really walk distance from port Ajibata. The hotel owner Aunty & his son was very helpful. They share good tips while stay at Parapat. Used his son transport services back to Kota Medan. The up stair berandah was giving a beautiful View of Lake Toba view."
