The hotel is close to the high-speed rail station, making travel and transfers convenient. There are also many local specialty foods nearby, such as sour soup fish and glutinous rice, making dining, accommodation, and sightseeing very hassle-free. The value for money is outstanding, and I will prioritize booking here again on my next visit.

I felt so welcomed and comfortable at this boutique hotel in ancient Xaisi. I understood that this hotel was in an older part of Kaili. On further exploration I found it to be in an extremely historic an ancient village of Xiasi that spanned many dynasties. Within walking distance to can find architecture that represents Qing and other dynasties . Xiasi’s streets reveal layers of history where Han, Miao, and merchant cultures converge. Stone streets, wooden covered bridges, decorated eaves, bell towers, and imperial and domestic courtyards reflect exquisite craftsmanship. My room overlooked the Qingjiang River. It was beautiful appointments with indigo fabric details. I especially liked the Chinese red chair. My room also have a spacious balcony. The owner took care of me like I was her daughter. It was so sweet. The central courtyard of the hotel is a lush garden. I loved exploring Xiasi during the quiet off-season. Its enchanting alleyways and ancient architecture is extraordinary. It’s especially romantic as evenings falls and this historic village is lit by red lanterns. I highly recommend this hotel. I look forward to returning.

I came to Shangya Hotel on a business trip to Qiandongnan. The location is good and travel is convenient. The front desk clerk is very warm and generous. The room I was assigned is very spacious, the decoration is light luxury and fashionable, the air conditioning and hot water are very powerful, it is worth recommending. The housekeeper cleans very carefully, and the room is fully intelligent voice controlled. It is very convenient and comfortable to live in.

It was as consistently good as ever. Next time I'm in Kaili, I will definitely choose this hotel again. Amazing hotel in a great location in Kaili center. Close to lots of food and bar options, as well as shopping. Also close to bus station. This hotel is very comfortable to stay at as a foreigner, they have many aspects similar to Western hotels that aren’t commonly found in China, like offering free ice, coffee, softer beds, etc. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are meticulously clean and have very modern amenities like automatic lights and a smart toilet. There’s also a balcony which is great to relax on. My only advice is that I had a bit of trouble finding the location, it would be good if they could give instructions on how to find the hotel.

The guesthouse was great—clean, hygienic, and with a great riverside view. They even upgraded our room because it was the off-season. The landlady and the receptionist were incredibly kind and helpful. They even gave our child a cute batik bag. After exploring the ancient town, we highly recommend this place!

There are also many local restaurants in the surrounding streets. There are many snacks on the micro-snacks outside the main entrance. It is invincible to eat.
