Kelowna Hotels with Pools

The hotel's location is excellent, and there's plenty of parking. The rooms are clean and tidy. All the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping and restaurant servers, were friendly and provided great service. The only minor issue was the air conditioning; if you set it above 64 degrees, it would stop blowing for a long time. It's possible I just didn't know how to adjust it properly, but that was the only small downside.

The hotel was extremely busy, as it was a holiday weekend. The state of the hotel definitely showed an increase in volume and turnover. Our room, the entranceway, and the bathroom floor had white marks all over it. At first, it looked like a child walked into paint and then ran in and out of the room. However, with the smallest of elbow grease, I was able to remove most of the marks from the bathroom. In doing so, it looked more like dried oatmeal, but I couldn't be sure. My point is that it was impossible not to notice this mess and that someone made a conscious decision to leave it in this manner. They did this, knowing that it was a long weekend and that guests would be paying in some cases double what they normally would pay. At these prices, with taxes,fees, etc, we were over a grand for 2 nights. At these prices, you do expect the rooms to be in pristine condition. We had spoken to a staff member delivering towels to a nèar by room. He informed us that he would speak to his supervisor and that someone would be up shortly. At this point, it was late and we were at the end of a solid week of moving. We needed sleep more than anything. To the best of our knowledge, no one tried to reach us in regard to this issue. This is a beautiful hotel. However, more needs to be done to keep it that way.

Great location, right in the city center/next to the highway, close to supermarkets and restaurants. It's a 7-minute drive to the lakeside beach and 20 minutes to City Park. Excellent value for money, includes free parking, WiFi, and a 24-hour front desk. The rooms are new, renovated in 2024–2025, with a simple and modern design. The bedding is comfortable, and a mini-fridge and coffee maker are provided. Friendly service, with a warm front desk staff and quick check-in/check-out. It's also pet-friendly. Practical breakfast: No free breakfast, but they provide vouchers for the adjacent Ricky’s restaurant (can be exchanged for pancakes/bacon/eggs). You can upgrade your breakfast for an extra charge; I tried the BC Benny, and it was quite good. Facilities include a seasonal outdoor pool, a small gym, and a self-service laundry room. A nice little touch: They put a rubber ducky in the bathroom, which adds a fun brand personality. The downside is the motel-style layout: external corridor access means less privacy. There's only one elevator, so for lower floors, taking the stairs is recommended. Noise issue: Rooms facing the street experience noticeable noise from highway traffic. It's advisable to request a room away from Harvey Ave when checking in. There's no elevator access to the 2nd and 3rd floors, which can be challenging if you have a lot of luggage.

I stayed at Recreation Inn during my recent trip to Kelowna, and overall, it was a decent experience for the price. The standout for me was the Saturday breakfast – simple but on point. It was served buffet-style with a good mix of egg muffins, fruit, bread, and juice. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, making for a nice start to the day. The room itself was clean and had all the basic amenities I needed, but I have to admit, the condition of the room felt quite dated. The furniture and decor could really use an upgrade, and there was an unpleasant musty odor in the room that lingered throughout my stay, which definitely affected my comfort. The staff were polite and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. The location is convenient, close to some restaurants and not far from the lake, which was a bonus. If you’re looking for a basic place to crash for a night or two and don’t mind a bit of an older vibe, it could work. But if you’re sensitive to smell or looking for something modern and more refreshed, this might not be the best fit.

Hotel is newer so feels fresh and clean. Our room and bedding had a bit of a stale smell, I asked to have the pillows swapped after the first night as I immediately noticed the “greasy” smell when I went to bed. Although they exchanged the pillows, the second set was no better so I sprayed them with some aromatherapy I happened to have on hand. Overall nice hotel, front desk staff could be more friendly and professional, but not a big problem.

The surrounding environment is very beautiful, the room facilities are also very good, that is, I regret that I have not booked a villa. In fact, it is quite good for us to book a villa for 7 people.

This was a two day planned get away for my husbsnd and I. Great location, we walked everywhere. The deck was a bit dirty, however there is construction going on around this location. The garbage truck dumps the big bins at 5:30 am so if you get an early wake up call. The hotel itself is a good choice, restaurants is also good. No pub anymore, but does not say this online. All in all good stay.

The stay was amazing. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. The kitchen was great for a home cooked meal. I would definitely cone back when I am in Kelowna again

Our stay was generally okay—clean room and expected service—but nothing particularly memorable. One issue stood out: we were asked to stop using the pool at around 9:30 AM because we were told it only opens at 10. We respected that, but just minutes later, another guest used the pool at 9:37 AM, followed by a family with two kids before 10 as well. It felt inconsistent and a bit unfair. A clear and consistently enforced policy would’ve avoided the confusion and frustration. This small incident left us with mixed feelings about the stay.
