The rooms are designed with a ocean wave theme, spotlessly clean, and offer fantastic views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The staff throughout the resort are incredibly welcoming, always greeting you with a smile. Check-in was efficient, and our butler, Kelly, was very responsive. The breakfast spread is rich and varied, featuring delicious Hainanese specialties. The resort's pool area is perfect for photos, and it's just a short walk to Riyue Bay beach. It's a one-stop shop for a surfing vacation – I'll definitely be staying here again next time!"

"I'm a Grand Hyatt member, but their booking system is clunky, so I booked through Ctrip instead of the official Grand Hyatt website. First, the room. I booked an ocean-view twin room back in June. When I arrived, I found out it was in building 37. While not the most central location, it was still nice; I could see the sea from the balcony. Next time, I hope to get a more central spot. Regarding the beach: Two years ago, we stayed in Shimei Bay, and the beach there was fantastic, even better than Yalong Bay's, though the hotel itself was mediocre. This time at the Grand Hyatt, the hotel is great, but honestly, the beach isn't as clean as Shimei Bay. There was a lot of trash on the sand near the lighthouse, and the sand itself wasn't as fine as Shimei Bay's. About check-in: We arrived around 11 AM and had lunch. By about 2 PM, we could check in. The buggy service was excellent, and the staff were very polite. However, I have to mention that the service from the staff member at the hotel lounge while we were waiting to check in was a bit cold. When I asked him something, he answered impatiently. Regarding the room: The room was indeed spacious and very clean, with welcome drinks and a coffee machine. But the bathtub drain was constantly clogged; we had to call maintenance three nights in a row, and it was never fixed. That's unacceptable. Also, the sliding door to toilet 9 was poor quality and noisy. We requested an extra bed, and it turned out to be a terrible spring mattress – unstable and unsafe to sleep on. I hope next time the hotel provides extra beds that are of the same quality as the main beds. The Wi-Fi was slow, and I kept having connection issues. I ended up using my phone's 5G for three days. Breakfast: Excellent, 5 stars! There are two restaurants, Yu and Hefang, offering both Western and Chinese options. No queues in the morning, so you can enjoy a comfortable breakfast. When we went to the hotel's 'Tanpan' for drinks in the evening, we were almost eaten alive by mosquitoes. No amount of repellent helped, so we couldn't enjoy ourselves. The hotel front desk staff arranged by Ctrip, Ms. She, had excellent service. She was very helpful and responded quickly. I hope the hotel improves its service standards. I would still consider staying here again."

"1. The sunken lobby with its surrounding lake view creates a strong resort atmosphere. 2. There's no air conditioning in the elevators from the lobby to the Chinese restaurant and the 2nd-floor gym. The lobby staff have to rely on fans to cool down, which is tough. 3. The public areas in the guest rooms are poorly decorated. 4. The commercial facilities around the hotel are not well-developed. 5. The hotel's breakfast buffet display is not ideal (yogurt and fruit are placed together, not with oats and nuts). 6. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the train station, which is very nice."

When our child had a minor issue, Alan promptly brought spray medicine and even thoughtfully prepared a wheelchair so our child wouldn't have to walk too much. The service was absolutely outstanding, making our stay incredibly satisfying."

"Le Méridien is truly perfect for family trips because it's relatively quiet. This time, we booked a suite with a private pool, which was absolutely fantastic. After playing on the beach, we could still splash around in our room's pool, and the kids were incredibly happy. Butler Kim was super attentive and arranged all the perks perfectly. Plus, the room is spacious enough, making it very suitable for family travel."

"Sheraton Shenzhou Peninsula Hotel: Peter was incredibly thoughtful. We booked a sea-view king room, and the view wasn't great. He proactively contacted us and arranged a room change for later, and the room condition was excellent. During our stay, the online service was always available. A big shout-out to the hotel's amazing staff! The hotel pool is also quite large, and there's a lagoon pool by the sea with a foam party in the afternoon. We had a great time these past few days. We'll definitely come back to Shenzhou Peninsula if we get the chance."

"Hotel environment: This is a newly opened hotel, and the environment is excellent. It's very clean, the rooms are spacious, and the facilities are brand new. The hotel also has a gym and a laundry room. Hotel service: The front desk staff are very welcoming and have a great attitude. There's also laundry service available. Hotel location: The location is superb; it's only a 5-minute drive from the highway exit and about a fifteen-minute drive to the beach. It's also very close to the stadium. The hotel also has a parking lot, which is very convenient."

"The room was very spacious, and as it's a new hotel, there were no strange odors. My only minor gripe was that the air conditioning didn't have a silent mode. However, my overall stay was excellent. Our butler, Alice, was incredibly responsive and attended to all our requests promptly. The hotel's location right next to the highway entrance made transportation very convenient, and despite being by the highway, there was no noise. I highly recommend trying their surfing service – coaches 11 and 16 were very dedicated and responsible. Even as a complete beginner who had never surfed before, I was able to stand up on the paddleboard quickly, thanks to their excellent coaching. I'll definitely be back to stay here again. Highly recommended!"

Upon arrival, you first check in at Banshan Banhai, and then a shuttle bus takes you to the front desk for check-in and to your room. The service was surprisingly excellent, and the room was spotlessly clean."

"This city hotel is pretty mediocre. A lot of things were broken – the fridge, the chair, the scale – and the room was very dry. The reception staff was unprofessional; they didn't even bother to tell me when or where breakfast was during check-in. I booked a family room, but only got two breakfast vouchers. Why book a family room then? I've rarely encountered a hotel requiring a deposit these past few years; although it was refunded on the day of check-out, it still felt a bit tacky. The most uncomfortable part was the lack of security. Anyone could enter the hotel without needing a key card to access the upper floors. Delivery drivers brought food directly to the room, which made me feel very unsafe. It simply doesn't live up to its supposed hotel rating. Nowadays, don't most hotels require key card access to floors, and aren't deliveries handled by robots? Here, anyone can just walk in."

"Our stay was one of the most memorable we’ve had in Hainan. The hotel has a unique South African style, beautiful design, and everything is very well maintained with high-quality furnishings. The swimming pool is clean and large enough for real swimming. The local breakfast noodles were delicious and the coffee was also very good. Service was excellent. The receptionist was incredibly patient from the start and went above and beyond to show us all the room options and help us find the one that suited us best. It’s also very pet friendly. The location is convenient—about a 10-minute drive to most places. The hotel even arranged a complimentary photo session. The photographer was patient and friendly, and helped us capture many beautiful memories. One small suggestion, for the private in-room Jacuzzi pool, there isn’t a shower head or sprayer to rinse it down. Only a large faucet to fill it. It would feel much cleaner and more comfortable if a handheld shower were provided for rinsing before use. Everything else was wonderful, but this little improvement would make the experience feel more hygienic and even more relaxing. We would absolutely love to return and highly recommend it to others."

Breakfast is also exquisite, and the pool is a beautiful blue. The air conditioning and shower quality are excellent, and the soundproofing is great – absolutely no noise. I would definitely choose to stay here again!"

My photos of the courtyard on social media got so many people asking for the address! The service from Lele at the front desk was incredibly warm and heartfelt. This place really made my Wanning trip enjoyable!"

Second, the cleanliness was excellent, and the rooms were spacious. The front desk service wasn't exactly overly enthusiastic or friendly, but they were responsive and helpful. The most convenient feature was the laundry room; I had to wash my clothes twice a day after surfing and swimming 😭"
