"We had a wonderful stay as a family. The hotel contacted us before arrival, which made check-in very smooth, and even upgraded us to a room with a beautiful city view. Housekeeping cleaned our room every day and replenished fresh toiletries. The location is excellent—close to the city center, shopping malls, restaurants, and plenty of local food stalls. The front desk lady was especially kind, friendly, and always willing to help. Highly recommended!"

"I'd like to commend the hotel's incredibly convenient location, especially for transportation. It's right on a main road, making taxis super easy to catch. Plus, it's directly outside Exit H of Beijing Road Subway Station, so getting around by metro is a breeze. The closest attraction, Qianling Park, is just one stop away. The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive, and the room was clean and tidy with a comfortable sofa and a large TV screen. Highly recommended!"

"First off, it's absolutely beautiful, especially the public areas. We stayed in the Bamboo Grove room, not the Rock room, and the Bamboo Grove room truly felt like an oxygen bar nestled in the mountains. Even getting ready, you're surrounded by bamboo, it felt like I could live longer if I stayed there for a few extra days.
Secondly, the service was incredibly thoughtful. As soon as we arrived, a bellhop helped us with our luggage. The hotel grounds have a lot of uphill and downhill paths, and since the Bamboo Grove rooms don't have elevators, the bellhop carried our luggage all the way up. All the staff greeted us whenever they passed by, and the butler's online responses were very prompt. And finally, the sweet potato candy they gave us when we checked out was delicious.
My only suggestions would be to improve the breakfast a bit and to add some railings or handrails along the path to the Bamboo Grove rooms, as it can get quite slippery when it rains. Other than that, there weren't any major issues, and it's definitely worth experiencing."

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. We paid a little more for a city view room, and it was definitely worth it! A stunning view of the twin towers and the park, lovely in the day and evening. The room itself was clean, nicely styled and had all amenities we would need. Location is good, right next to a metro and walking distance to the shopping mall with the funky dolphin haha. Communications with the hotel were also good and they were very helpful. "It's absolutely fantastic to stay at Sofitel hotel Guiyang.It is near to Guiyang Jiaxiu pavillion and walking distance to the metro.
Hotel checking in is fast and clear, they got us dinner sorted and reception booked transport for us for the next day no problem. Checking out is fast and easy, Lisa and Jason were especially nice and friendly and they got us some Guiyang special souvenirs.
The room is cozy, bed is comfortable, the room is sound proof, and we loved the great view, amazing horizon across the city of Guiyang.
The amenety of the hotel are okay, lovely restaurant, swimming pool, lifts are a little confusing as reception is on 55 and the rooms need a different lift to access, but there is always someone around to help if you are lost.
Coffee machine and cups were at a low level in a room without carpets, so be aware of it ,they're easy to knock over and shatter.
Dinner and breakfast are delicious, wide range of food suitable for any type of diet.
We highly recommend this hotel for anyone who loves to travel and explore Guiyang."

"This is a great hotel! The breakfast was rich and delicious, and the owners were incredibly warm and helpful. They even upgraded our room. This was easily the best night's sleep I had during my 7 days in Guizhou! I especially want to thank the owner: my sister realized she'd lost her ID when we arrived, and the owner drove her around to look for it – and they actually found it! The only downside was the timing, as the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area wasn't at its best, but I'd definitely come back to this hotel if I get another chance! Highly recommend, no regrets!"

"I chose Sooong Hotel for my trip to Guiyang, and it was a great choice, definitely no regrets! It's super close to Minsheng Road and Caijia Street, just a few minutes' walk. You can go downstairs and immediately find glutinous rice, 'silk dolls' (local snack), and Changwang noodles, making it easy to eat and explore without any hassle. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and patient, which made me feel very welcome. The room was spotlessly clean, every corner was tidy, and as someone who's a bit of a clean freak, I felt completely at ease. The lobby is bright and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is excellent. It offers great value for money and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Guiyang!"

"The environment is great, full of ancient charm. The entire courtyard has a classic, antique feel. However, if you're sensitive to noise when sleeping, I wouldn't recommend it. It's an old wooden house with high ceilings, and even with renovations, it's pretty much soundproof. But the beautiful surroundings and excellent location make it worth overlooking that one flaw. It's just a minute or two's walk from the Zhongnan Archway, making it super convenient whether you want to stroll around the old town or head to Zhonghuan International. Plus, the staff are really enthusiastic and quick to resolve any issues you might have."

MMin malistI love this place so much that a part of me wants to gatekeep this hidden gem. Fanzhu梵住 is a beautifully curated boutique hotel that delivers outstanding hospitality. I initially booked a 5-day stay but loved it so much that I extended for an extra day, willingly sacrificing my next destination.
I was initially worried the hotel might be a ”pretty façade.” Fortunately, Fanzhu met all my needs of functionality and comfort (Breakfast, Air Conditioning, an excellent shower, free self-service laundry, an ideal location).
The property is far from perfection, but it overcompensates with simple, heartfelt sincerity. You can feel the tremendous thought and effort poured into this place to make guests feel comfortable.
✨ Highlights, Who Will Love This Place:
✅#English-Speaking Travellers: For foreigners unfamiliar with China, it is extremely helpful that the owner is fluent in English.
✅#Design & Aesthetics: Warm & modern. The property exudes zen-like comfort with charming decors. It has a gorgeous yard, with swimming pool, and ample outdoor seatings.
✅#Remote workers: I didn’t plan to work on this trip, but I could see myself working there remotely. If you come from the city where every building looks like a boxy Lego piece, you will deeply appreciate this place.
✅#Personalized Service: Kudos to the young lady boss! In a place like Wanfenglin where the location pins and 导航 can be vague to foreigners, sh took the time to understand my itinerary, how I planned my routes around Wanfenglin. She gave recommendations, and helped me check my “Destination” input on car hiring app.
Airport and railway station pickups can also be arranged easily too.
✅#Immaculate Rooms: THE BED! Oh my, the bed! The linens, pillows, and towels are all premium quality. Even the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash feel luxurious. The bed is so comfortable that I would return just for a sleep-in holiday. Ok I know I’m mentioning the bed twice but it’s worth mentioning thrice. Extra points from me that the rooms are non-smoking.
✅#Location: Before arriving, I read a review describing this place as ”a piece of tranquillity close to the action”. Now I get it. It sits as an independent building on a peaceful road/hill(?), yet it is a short, easy walk to the Bagua fields and Zhong Nahui, where you can find idyllic cafes, little shops, and children playing in the fields.
✅#Breakfast: Delicious local-flavoured noodles!They also offer more conservative standards like toasts, eggs, and coffee. Oh, the hotel has an ice machine! Ooooohh so sexy in the hot weather (apparently ice cubes are rare in Wanfenglin).
✅#The Resident Pets: As a pet lover who willingly pays to visit cat cafes, having resident dog and cats sealed the deal for me.
✅#BONUS TIP: The Rooftop Night Sky. Unassuming and rugged at first glance, I was initially unimpressed. But I heard good reviews from others, so I gave it another go, and am thankful I did!
Stay awhile, allow your eyes some time to adjust in the darkness, and you would see the sky completely transforms.
On my last night, I saw a shooting star! I kid you not. It was an absolutely unbelievable, unforgettable moment. Incredibly awesome!
⚠️ Considerations Before You Book (Who should avoid):
- If you love standard chain hotels. Fanzhu is intimate enough to offer personalized service. But I can imagine some of my more pampered friends who prefer international breakfast buffet spread would struggle to settle for this simplicity. Some things are just not realistic expectations off a boutique.
- Mobility needs: There is no elevator. They would graciously carry your suitcases. However, elderly may want to enquire about ground-floor room.
- In the midst of nature: If you have zero tolerance for insects, you may want to skip staying in Wanfenglin. It is a humid, lush environment surrounded by fields and trees. Personally, with a body spray of insect repellent, I wasn't bothered at all.
- Pet allergies: If you hate pets (but why would you? :( w

GGuest UserMe and my girlfriend got picked up at Congjiang train station which was very convenient. Right from the start the owners of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The accomodation is located at the back of the village next to a field where they grow rapeseed flowers and rice during the year. For us the location was perfect as it is very peaceful and quiet but simultaneously litterally a few steps away from the beautiful vibrant little village. The room was very spacious and clean with a gorgeous view on the field. The interior is very well matched and has great facilities. There was even a small laundry machine so we could do some laundry ourselves. So far during our travels in China, this stay was the best we had!
There is a very stylish and cute coffee/restaurant located on the first floor of the building. This is also where you will have a delicious breakfast and where Ni Li and her sister will greet you with a smile every time you walk by.
Ni Li, her husband Tao Mingqing, her sister and brother played a crucial part during our stay as after the first night my wife got very sick due to an infection and barely left the room during our stay. The second night I got foodpoisoning which made the situation even worse. (Not from the hotel!). We ended up extending our stay due to her condition. Luckily Li's English is very good so that helped us a lot in navigating the medical difficulties. We were extremely lucky to be staying with Li and her family as they took care of us like we were their own family. Preparing custom meals and dinner tailored to our needs every single day, preparing us tea, calling the local doctors and translating and taking us to the local hospital back and forth multiple times. We were there during the Qingming festival so no cars were allowed in the village which made it more difficult to reach the hospital. This didn't stop Tao Mingqing as he took us to the local hospital several times on the motorbike, one by one! The last time I even forgot a bag and he even went back to get it for me! He truly is a legend. Fortunately, my recovery was fairly quickly so I had the chance to explore the village a little by myself and spend time with Li and Ming while staying close to the room for my girlfriend.
On day 4 my girlfriend's fever was coming down and she improved a little. Li and Ming invited us to have tea with them. Ming showed me his vast collection of tea and made sure to prepare the best tea suitable for our condition. The tea was truly amazing and he ended up filling a big bag with different kinds of teas as a gift for us! And that was not it, to make sure we would never forget them and drink tea mindfully the Chinese way when we're back home, they gave us the tea cups we used traditionally decorated with the blue dragon and phoenix.
It was a very stressful situation and when we felt at our most fragile, they were there to take care of us, strangers they just met. This says everything about these wonderful people. Even though the illness of my girlfriend and the rough situation, we think back to our stay with a very warm hearth as our special experience forged a bond we'll never forget. We are incredibly lucky to have met Li and her family.
We have said thank you to them 100s of times already, but I can't express enough how grateful I am for this people. Thank you for taking care of us like your family!!! ＜3
If you are unsure about staying here, there is truly no reason why you shouldn't! Whatever the situation, Li and her family will do everything they can to improve your stay. I'm sure you'll have a blast!

MMiaozuI was a little nervous before booking because the price wasn't cheap, and I worried the experience wouldn't be good enough. However, I figured the numerous positive reviews about the excellent service would be good. My experience was truly beyond expectations (I knew it would be good, but I didn't expect it to be this good), and the scenery was breathtaking.
Guizhou-style dinner for two: The hotel offers a complimentary dinner for two, and my husband, an elderly couple, and three children didn't have to pay extra. We enjoyed the hotel buffet. We arrived at 7 p.m., and while the food was plentiful, the manager kept saying they were out of dishes and even cooked us a special Guizhou spicy chicken dish. My husband said it was incredibly flavorful.
The bar always had drinks and ice water, making it a relaxing summer drink.
After dinner, we took a stroll around the hotel, which was very relaxing.
The driver of the electric scooter was always available, and when we left, he took us to the parking lot and then back to the scenic area gate to take us to the bus. The entire hotel staff gave me the same friendly and relaxed feeling as a Sanya resort hotel.
My second child was struck by the hotel's beauty the moment they entered, and even asked if it had a swimming pool. It felt like a seaside resort. Swimming in the outdoor pool felt like wandering between heaven and earth, and the fresh scent of the pine forest permeated my breath.
We also received complimentary tickets to the Yunmen Tun Scenic Area, which also included a stroll, and the scenery was beautiful.
We took photos and posted them on WeChat, and everyone was amazed by the beauty. I look forward to returning in autumn to see the different scenery.
A small suggestion would be to add more family-friendly facilities and some forest activities. While you can swim in the summer, there are some activities in the fall and winter that will provide a more enriching experience for children.

AAnonymous UserOur stay was absolutely wonderful. The day before check-in, the housekeeper contacted us to provide directions and even picked us up, helping with our luggage. This saved us a lot of trouble since we weren't familiar with the route. The housekeeper was incredibly responsive and answered all our questions promptly, solving many issues for us. The room had a fantastic view with its own balcony, offering panoramic views of the Miao village. The complimentary afternoon tea was also delicious, and it was so relaxing to enjoy the view and tea from the balcony. When we returned in the evening, there was even a complimentary sweet soup before bed. The facilities were complete, and they even prepared flower petals and bath bombs for the hot tub, creating a lovely ambiance for couples. Breakfast was also excellent, with a healthy and hygienic minced meat rice noodle set that was unique to the area. Overall, our accommodation experience was fantastic, making our trip to the Miao village incredibly pleasant and smooth.

GGuest UserI can’t say enough how good this place was. This city is not easy to get to or get out of. and sometimes you need help from innkeeper staff but true Guizhou hospitality shines here. These people. go out of your way and you almost feel like your family to them. In fact, these people treat me better than my family.
The breakfast is so good. It is not a giant buffet or anything, but a made to order masterpiece. The mien tiao noodles are awesome and will get your day off to a good start and wanting a 2nd portion.

MmajjieThis hotel is really great and new. Its main advantage is its proximity to Qingyun Market, which is within walking distance. We booked the Kempinski for our outbound trip and this hotel for our return. I really love the decor style here. The hotel restaurant even has small animals you can feed, making it a very family-friendly hotel! The second floor offers direct access to the snack street and a shopping mall, making dining very convenient!

GGuest UserXijiang Surprise Mid-Mountain View B&B was a wonderful surprise! The environment is tranquil, surrounded by lush greenery, and the stilt-house design creates such an authentic atmosphere. The panoramic windows in the rooms offer incredible views; you can lie in bed and overlook the entire Miao village. In the evening, the sight of countless lights illuminating the village is breathtaking, and you don't even need to fight the crowds at the scenic viewpoints. What really stood out was the thoughtful hostess. She contacted us in advance to help with our itinerary, assisted us with our luggage upon arrival, and thoroughly explained the local attractions. She even proactively upgraded us to a room with an even better view, free of charge. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the communal terrace was perfect for photos. The service was gentle and attentive. With both amazing views and excellent service, staying here in Xijiang was absolutely a fantastic choice!

GGuest UserThis hotel is located right inside the scenic area, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. The service was exceptional from start to finish. After we got our tickets, the hotel's private shuttle was already waiting for us. We had the whole car to ourselves, and the driver was so friendly and attentive. He proactively helped us with our luggage, both getting in and out of the car. When he learned our next destination was from Libo to Xijiang, he even assured us that the hotel shuttle would take us directly to the bus pick-up point for our return journey, advising us to simply inform the front desk in advance. The hotel also has a dedicated laundry room with washing machines and dryers, which was a huge plus for keeping our clothes clean. On the day we checked out, the driver immediately recognized us – he was the same person who picked us up two days prior! Our stay was smooth and very satisfying.

HHilaDI found my ideal B&B in Wanfenglin! My husband and I stayed here over Chinese New Year and couldn't stop thinking about it, saying we'd come back if we had the chance! Didn't expect to be back for a second time so soon, haha. Last time, the rapeseed flowers were everywhere; this time, even though there aren't any, it still has a unique charm. First, facilities: The room's floor-to-ceiling windows face Wanfenglin directly. The moment you open the curtains in the morning, the mountains are right there – so therapeutic. The bedding is also very comfortable. Last time I asked the owner for a link, but they told me it's all custom-made! The bathroom is equipped with a Dyson hairdryer, Bulgari toiletries, disposable bath towels, hair drying caps, bath balls, pajamas, underwear, and even the toothbrushes are soft-bristled – excellent attention to detail. On the table, there were seasonal fruits and a bottle of red wine, all complimentary. Soaking in the tub with a drink at night was simply divine. Next, cleanliness: The entire B&B is spotless, from the lobby to the rooms, every corner is clean and tidy. The carpets are thoroughly vacuumed, there are no water stains or hair in the bathroom, and the bed sheets and duvet covers have no peculiar smell. It feels very reassuring to stay here. Finally, service: The butler is very attentive. They messaged me beforehand to ask what time I'd arrive and if I wanted the air conditioning turned on in advance. When we got to the parking lot, the butler came to help with our luggage and escorted us all the way to our room. The breakfast is also very thoughtfully prepared; their rice noodles are absolutely amazing! So delicious! There's also milk, bread, and fruit – a very satisfying meal. They even gave us coffee vouchers, which is fantastic for a coffee lover like me! I didn't expect to find such good coffee in a scenic area! In short, I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Wanfenglin. Highly recommended!
