It's alright, about a 10-minute drive from where you can see the penguins. The only downside is that the kitchen utensils are a bit sparse – not even a single knife, just one pair of scissors. I'd suggest the hotel at least provides a knife set. Also, there were only two hangers, which wasn't enough. The bed was quite comfortable. The water pressure was very low, so I didn't even bother showering that day.
We chose the Hilton again for our trip to Queenstown, New Zealand. While it's not right in the town center, transportation is super convenient. The hotel has its own water taxi that goes to and from the center daily. The first boat leaves at 8:15 AM, and then it's hourly after that. It costs 14 NZD per person and takes about 25 minutes. The last return trip is at 9:45 PM, and there's a timetable available at the front desk. The hotel is also only a ten-minute drive from the airport.
The hotel's setting and views are absolutely beautiful, right on the lake. You can take a lovely stroll along the lakeside in the mornings, and the restaurant is right there, so you can enjoy the lake view while you eat. The hotel has a Western restaurant, a bar and restaurant, and a coffee shop. The breakfast buffet is served in the Western restaurant and opens at 6 AM, which is great for guests who want to get an early start on their sightseeing. The food selection is comprehensive and tasty too! We had dinner at the Western restaurant on our first night and it was excellent, the steak was fantastic! The bar and restaurant is also good; on our last day, we got back late from our Milford Sound tour and just ordered pizza and beer at the bar. The pizza was absolutely delicious! The bar atmosphere was great too!
We booked a lake view king room, and the layout was nice, with full amenities. The hotel also has a pool, and the gym is open 24 hours. All in all, our stay and dining experience were very comfortable! Highly recommended!
Clean and tidy. The room had high ceilings which was very comfortable. The price was even cheaper than some motels. For this price, staying in a hotel of this caliber is truly amazing value for money. The only downside was that parking was quite inconvenient; if you want to park, you need to book early, but even then, you'll likely not get a spot as there are only about a dozen available.
Thus hotels most appealing benefit is its location. It’s a short walk to the octagon, historical railway station and the excellent (and free admission) Pioneer Museum. It’s a short is also only a couple of streets from George Street which has lots of shopping and restaurants. A block away is a large supermarket for groceries. The room size is adequate with a fridge and kettle. The carpet could use a good cleaning. The main issue was with the shower. It has no enclosure and although the floor is sloped towards the drain we had to put towels around the floor to stop water from running everywhere. The towels and bath mat naturally got soaked. For the price and location I would recommend this hotel if you are. It looking for anything upscale.
The location is close to the airport but a bit far from the city center. The hygiene is good, and the front desk service is excellent. However, there are very few parking spaces, and you can only park in the green-marked areas. The elevator at the entrance to the parking lot was out of order, which made it difficult to carry luggage to the front desk.
An absolutely wonderful experience! The hotel's surroundings are incredibly beautiful. Inside, the decor is very unique and charming, with a lovely little garden and a pool. The front desk even gave us welcome cookies when we checked in, which was a really nice touch.
The room offered a beautiful view of the lake and mountains, which was lovely. It was a two-story room, and my elderly parents wanted to sleep downstairs. We asked the front desk if they could add a single bed downstairs. Initially, an Indian staff member at the front desk agreed, but when we returned to the hotel that evening, they told us it wasn't possible. Thankfully, our driver and guide negotiated repeatedly, and they eventually added a bed for us for the following days. The breakfast wasn't very diverse, with not much to choose from.
If you absolutely must stay here, choose the lake-view apartment. I didn't pay attention when booking. Firstly, the room was small, and secondly, there's nowhere to eat nearby except the hotel restaurant. I originally wanted to change my plans midway to visit Dunedin. I submitted a request to modify the dates on Trip.com two days before check-in, but I never received a reply. It wasn't until I asked in person on the day of check-in that they said it was possible, but they would charge us over 3,000 for one night. 🙄 I have to give Trip.com a serious bad review here. Initially, they said they would intervene if the hotel didn't respond by the deadline, but later they said that since the hotel's response deadline had passed, the original order would proceed. They didn't even bother with a superficial effort. When submitting the modification request, I noticed that we had pre-booked a lake-view room for three nights for over 10,000, but upgrading to a better room type later on was actually over a thousand cheaper. The only upside is the beautiful scenery. Everything else is a complaint. After eating at the restaurant, we wanted to go back to our room to rest, only to find that staff had entered the room to fix the air conditioning without any request from us. We'd been there for two nights and hadn't noticed any problem with the AC. The cleaning was also very perfunctory. The shower glass had too many gaps, so water always leaked everywhere, and when our wet slippers were thrown away, they weren't replaced. In short, don't expect to be treated like a guest when you come here.
This hotel is very close to the city center, making it convenient to go anywhere. There's also parking right outside the hotel entrance, which is great for travelers with cars. The rooms have a lovely artistic feel, and the outdoor spaces are also filled with an artistic atmosphere. I loved it!
The hotel is on the slope at the end of George Street, overlooking Dunedin. The appearance is small and fresh, and the inside is exquisite. It is so clean. Kitchenware, tableware, washing machine and dryer are all available. The superior one-bedroom room has a large bed + a single bed, especially suitable for a family of three.

Very Good
GGuest UserIt was great with underground parking with internal access, it was very clean and exactly what we were looking for.
The staff we very helpful and friendly. I would recommend it to anybody
HHuobatuThe hotel environment is particularly good, the proprietress is a Chinese sister, especially good, give me milk, it is very quiet, and very close to the scenic spot, there is a McDonald's and gas station ten meters away, there is a fish and chips 100 meters away, and the Chinese are also delicious but not friendly. In short, the hotel is very clean, the location is good, convenient and fast, parking is very convenient
ZZiyang JustinVery clean and easily accessible from Queentown Airport. Counter staff are also approachable and friendly. Simple and good to use as a base to explore Queentown city. Carpark lots are sufficient though they hotel will highlight that there is limited during especially peak seasons.

::))We were thrilled to be the very first guests to leave a review for this stunning new resort! The location is fantastic, just a quick 10-minute drive to town, and our room offered breathtaking views of the Shot River, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere.
We arrived around 10 PM, and the hotel reception was impeccably prepared, warmly welcoming us and even upgrading our room! It looked exactly like the photos, with a design and interior that perfectly captured the vibe we were seeking. They had welcome drinks waiting for us, and we appreciated that milk was available on request at any time.
The breakfast was a delightful a la carte experience, featuring an array of delicious options. The serving staff was not only attentive and kind but also provided excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants!
We also indulged in room service, which exceeded our expectations in both taste and punctuality. Although the fitness room and movie room were still under construction, the small maintenance issue we encountered in the bathroom was addressed swiftly by the staff.
Our stay has left us eager to return and see the final results of this new gem. I highly recommend this resort to everyone!
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location, just a two-minute walk from the lake. The service was attentive; they helped store our luggage and even brought it up to our room. While the room facilities aren't brand new, they are well-maintained and complete. It's perfect for guests who want to step right out and enjoy the scenic views.
GGuest UserThe hotel is not far from the intercity bus station, but you have to climb two hills, one of which is quite steep and long. The cleanliness was acceptable; I didn't experience the issues mentioned in other reviews. I stayed for three nights. For two nights, I was at the end of the 2nd-floor hallway, and the soundproofing was very poor; I could hear traffic passing by all night. For one night, I stayed on the 3rd floor in a room a bit further from the end, and it was very quiet at night. The kitchen is well-equipped with pots, bowls, and cutlery, and there's a microwave, oven, kettle, dish soap, and dishcloths.
TTiantiankanyangpaoWhat a pleasant surprise! The hotel offers a private washer and dryer, complete with single-use laundry detergent packets. Plus, there's a full set of dishes and a microwave, all immaculately clean – incredibly convenient! You can even catch glimpses of the lake from the hotel, making it quite good value for money.
The location is super convenient; most places are within a 10-minute walk. And the bus to Milford Sound can pick you up right at the doorstep, which is a huge plus. The staff were friendly and helpful, making for a great experience!
GGuest UserThe person at reception was an Indian wearing a turban. I'm not sure if it was discrimination against Chinese people, but they gave us a room in the furthest, most secluded corner. The signal was also very poor; streaming videos was constantly buffering. All the pillows were incredibly high, making it feel like you'd get a stiff neck from sleeping on them. It was a very bad experience. Plus, it seems the hotel doesn't have a shuttle bus to town, so getting around is very inconvenient if you don't have a car. It's a 40-minute walk to town, and it's uphill and downhill.
