Hot Springs Hotels in Hainan, China

The architecture and environment are truly magnificent, definitely worth a deeper exploration. The 'Dongpo Academy' play was well-produced; it would be even better if there was transport in the evening to experience the immersive live show at Dongpo Academy! However, the service and transportation have significantly deteriorated compared to four years ago. The shuttle service to the high-speed rail station is practically non-existent: no clear signs, long waits between buses, and often no seats due to overcrowding – I couldn't get a ride both ways. The bus service to Haikou has also been cancelled. The most disappointing aspect is that many of the original attractions are closed, and those that are open charge exorbitant fees. A ticket to the Ocean World costs 160 yuan per person, and the mini-train, which used to be included in the accommodation fee, now costs 60 yuan per person! Such a large-scale resort, yet the management is so outdated! I have no interest in returning next time.

Traveling with friends, we chose the Baoting Qixianling Hot Spring Resort Hotel. First, we were immediately impressed by its tranquil environment, lush greenery, and fresh air. The hot spring water felt wonderfully smooth on our skin. Second, the hotel staff's service attitude was exceptional; they were always ready to help, making us feel completely at home. The hotel restaurant's dinner was surprisingly good value for money, exceeding our expectations. We would definitely come back here for another vacation if we have the chance.

Whenever I want to eat seafood, I always like to go to Maniao. The first choice for staying is Lingao Country Garden Golden Beach. The hotel should have been opened for more than ten years. The hotel facilities are well maintained and the service level is excellent. This year, it was quite unexpected that a staff member contacted me in advance the day before check-in, and arranged a room for me in advance and upgraded it. Thank you very much. I hope that the service level can be maintained for a long time. There are not many good hotels on the west line of Hainan.

Environment: What you see is what you get – you can see the beach and the sea right from your bed. It’s beautiful. I’ve also looked around nearby, and this is the only place I saw with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a sea view, which is stunning! Service: The service is absolutely exceptional. Almost any request you make to the front desk is taken care of. They even gave us complimentary welcome desserts (P2). Facilities: We all loved the bathtub – it was perfect for photos! My only wish is that the tub in our room had been in the center instead of to the side. I brought my girlfriends here to take some gorgeous swimsuit photos, and they turned out amazing!

The hotel's service was excellent. Erin was very patient, and Coco was very friendly during check-in. I booked two different rooms and had a great experience with both. The sea-view suite was spacious, and every room had a balcony directly facing the ocean. You can also walk down to the beach from the hotel. Plus, there's a pool and hot springs on-site, which is a big plus!

The hotel is about a 25-minute drive from Haikou East Railway Station. It is a large resort mainly designed for golf visitors. The hot spring pools are located very close to the hotel building and stay open until 11 p.m. The breakfast starts as early as 6 a.m., which is convenient for early risers or guests catching a morning flight. The location is not very convenient, as the nearest shopping mall is about a 20-minute drive away. We booked a room for three adults, but the hotel only provided two complimentary entries to the hot spring pools. The third guest had to pay 88 RMB. Since the booking clearly included three adults, it would have been a nice gesture for the hotel to extend complimentary access for all three. Overall, it’s a spacious resort with enjoyable hot springs.

The Hainan Guest House (Haikou State Guest Hotel) truly lives up to its reputation as a luxury hotel. The facilities are thoughtfully designed and well-appointed, the service is warm and attentive, and the dining options are diverse and impressive! While the breakfast spread was extensive and beautifully prepared, I felt it could have featured more local specialties.

Haikou Marriott Hotel is one of the best hotels I've stayed at recently. Everything from the environment to the service was impeccable. The hotel boasts an excellent location on Binhai Avenue in Xiuying District, offering both urban convenience and proximity to the coastline. The sea view is expansive, and our butler, Serena, provided thoughtful and attentive service throughout our stay. From check-in guidance to responding to our needs, everything was efficient and thorough, allowing us to completely relax during our entire stay!

Extremely satisfied with my stay. The hotel's front desk staff were very warm, professional, and attentive. Especially Ms. Xiaofang, who was enthusiastic and patient, proactively upgraded our room, and kindly introduced us to the hotel's surroundings and other services. We were so pleased that we extended our stay twice. We had originally booked a suite, but the hotel upgraded us directly to a river view suite, which was fantastic with a huge balcony and a breathtaking view. The housekeeping staff were also incredibly meticulous; the room was cleaned thoroughly and with great care. As a smoker, I initially used a mineral water bottle as an ashtray on the balcony. To my surprise, the next day I found the housekeeping staff had placed an ashtray and hotel matches on the balcony for me, which was a very thoughtful touch. All in all, it was a highly satisfying experience, and I will definitely prioritize Pullman Hotels in the future.

Huge thanks to the front desk for the room upgrade! Check-in was super fast, and we got a lake-view room. The view from the sixth floor was pretty good, though the highest floor is the seventh, so it obviously can't compare to the views from higher-floor rooms. But being on a lower floor meant less wind, so it felt really warm and cozy. The hotel's public area pool is beautiful. The outdoor pool is cold water, not heated. However, the indoor heated pool makes up for it – you can swim there and then go for a hot spring dip, which is incredibly comfortable! I'd suggest increasing the frequency of maintenance for the hot spring pools; when I went, the water quality wasn't as good as I'd imagined, and the hot spring water quality isn't quite on par with places like Tengchong or Guangzhou. It's a bit stingy that guests consuming at the lobby bar still have to pay extra for the billiard table. I'd suggest changing this to a reservation-based system with a time limit; guests would probably feel better about that. Breakfast overall was decent. The live cooking stations for noodles and vermicelli were freshly prepared, and the broths were excellent. However, the soy milk and coconut milk were both watered down and flavorless, like too much water had been added, making them very bland. I hope this can be improved, because the self-service Qingbuliang (a refreshing dessert soup) loses its meaning if the coconut milk isn't good! The housekeeping staff are very diligent. For consecutive stays, it felt almost like checking into a new room every day. But as a five-star resort, shouldn't the complimentary bottled water at least be something like Nongfu Spring? This 'Ice Dew' brand is a bit much. A few extra cents in cost wouldn't hurt, right?
